A look of doubt appeared on the guard's face as he took the ID. After checking it carefully and confirming it was correct, he asked curiously, "Student, it's already summer break, why are you coming back to school?"

"Well, I have an appointment with my counselor; I have some business to take care of," Qin Yi explained with a smile.

"Oh, you have an appointment? Alright then." As the security guard spoke, he pressed the remote in his hand, and the barrier slowly rose. He stepped back two paces to clear the way, not forgetting to remind him: "Drive slowly inside the school, be careful not to hit anyone."

The parking lot wasn't far from the School of Economics; Qin Yi arrived after a three or five-minute walk.

Standing before the School of Economics, Qin Yi looked up at the familiar teaching building, and campus memories instantly flooded his mind.

It was a beautifully dressed woman with shoulder-length straight hair and air bangs. She wore a cream-white dress with a bow sash at the waist, carried a plain canvas bag, and wore a pair of flat white shoes.

This person was none other than Qin Yi's college counselor—Li Xitong.

"Sister Tong, long time no see. You've become even prettier," Qin Yi complimented with a grin.

"It really is you, Qin Yi! You've changed so much. If we hadn't made an appointment to meet here, I wouldn't have dared to recognize you." Li Xitong looked at Qin Yi with a happy expression and continued, "By my count, it's been over half a year since we last met, right? How are you? Have the issues at home been resolved?"

"Yeah, I'm doing great. Everything at home is fine now. My parents also came to Modu with me," Qin Yi replied with a smile.

"Good, it's good that everything's okay." Li Xitong nodded. Just then, a few students walked by, frequently casting inquisitive glances at Li Xitong and Qin Yi.

"Teacher Li, is this your boyfriend? He's so handsome!" a girl asked gossipingly.

"Shoo, shoo, don't talk nonsense. He's your senior!" Li Xitong shooed them away with a smile.

"Senior?" The girl didn't leave; instead, she secretly pulled out her phone and took several photos in quick succession. She then stuck her tongue out at the two of them. "I don't believe it. How could I have no impression of such a good-looking senior? He must be your boyfriend. I'm going to post this on the campus forum so everyone can have some eye candy." After saying that, the girl scurried away.

"Hey, don't do anything reckless!" Li Xitong shouted at the girl's retreating back. Afterward, she looked at Qin Yi with an embarrassed expression and an apologetic smile. "Students nowadays are harder to manage with every passing year. I'm afraid you're going to be featured on the campus forum again."

The two made their way to the faculty office. During the summer break, there was almost no one in the teaching building except for students preparing for postgraduate exams.

Li Xitong took a large bunch of keys from her canvas bag, opened the office door, and invited Qin Yi in.

"Take a seat anywhere. I'll get you some water," Li Xitong said. She took a disposable paper cup from under the water dispenser, filled it, and placed it on the desk in front of Qin Yi. Then, she picked up the air conditioner remote and turned it on.

Only then did she sit in her own seat. Qin Yi looked at Li Xitong with a smile and asked, "Sister Tong, why didn't you go home for summer break?"
