267: Chapter 267 Xu Qian's intuition is really accurate.

In the conference room, Xu Qian, Qin Xiaoyue, and the teachers who came to assist with the recruitment saw Qin Yi, the Dean, and the others walk in. They immediately stood up as a reflex, and the girl who was currently introducing herself also paused her speech and turned to look at the newcomers.

With a smile on his face, Qin Yi gently raised his hand and said in a calm tone, "Please continue. We are just here to observe."

Liu Changshan also smiled and gestured to the group with his hand as a greeting.

Hearing Qin Yi say he was just there to observe, Xu Zilin, who was leaning against the door in the last row, stood up and waved at Qin Yi, gesturing for him to come and sit by his side.

The interviews continued, and Qin Yi went to sit down beside Xu Zilin. Seeing this, Dean Liu and Li Xitong had no choice but to follow him and find seats.

Qin Yi noticed a stack of resumes on the table in front of Xu Zilin. He picked one up casually while leaning forward slightly, lowering his voice to ask, "Zilin, have all of these passed the interview?"

Xu Zilin nodded and replied in a whisper, "Yes, more than ten have passed already."

Qin Yi flipped through them casually. Just as his group of bad friends had said, the candidates coming to Yiqian Entertainment Media for interviews were each more beautiful than the last.

But at that moment, a flicker of surprise crossed Qin Yi's face. Among the many resumes, he saw a somewhat familiar ID: the streamer 'Leer 521'?

Qin Yi thought to himself, "Isn't this the girl who tipped seven 'five-clawed golden dragons' in the livestream room on the day I was bound to the System? Could it be that she's also from Modu University? It can't be such a coincidence, right? Could it be someone with the same name?" Thinking this, Qin Yi carefully examined the girl's resume.

"Whoa, she really is a streamer on the Moyin Platform. Modu University, Business Administration major, two years senior to me. I really didn't expect this girl to be my Senior Sister..."

Seeing Qin Yi staring blankly at the resume in his hand, Xu Zilin curiously leaned his head closer to look at the name and photo. After a brief recollection, he asked, "Brother Yi, do you know this sister?"

Qin Yi snapped out of it and shook his head with a smile. "I don't. The name just looks a bit familiar."

"Oh, I see. I remember she applied for the position of General Manager's Secretary. According to her, she worked as a dance streamer for a while. Sister Xiao Yue's idea is to have her continue dancing; maybe she can take the path of an artist in the future."

"Oh, and what about her own thoughts?" Qin Yi asked curiously.

"She doesn't seem to want to continue as a streamer," Xu Zilin recalled. "She said the internet is too complicated and that she only did it before to earn more money. If there's a chance, she still wants to return to her major's field of work."

"Well, a Business Administration major working as a secretary is indeed a relevant field." Qin Yi nodded in understanding.

"Yeah, so my sister signed her," Xu Zilin added.

Qin Yi looked at Xu Zilin and noticed he remembered the girl's details very clearly, which piqued his curiosity. He gave a sly smile. "Out of so many people coming for interviews, you remember this girl quite clearly. You haven't fallen for her, have you? Is she very pretty?"

Hearing this, the tips of Xu Zilin's ears instantly turned red. He defended himself, "No way, Brother Yi, don't talk nonsense. I'm only 18, and that sister is the same age as my sister..."

Seeing Xu Zilin's shy look, the corners of Qin Yi's mouth curled up. He thought to himself: This kid is quite thin-skinned. That won't do; how will he chase girls in the future?

So, Qin Yi teased, "What's wrong with that? Older-woman-younger-man romances are popular nowadays. You're an adult now. Wouldn't university life be boring if you didn't have a girlfriend?"

Hearing Qin Yi say this, Xu Zilin's face turned even redder. Seeing this, Qin Yi smiled and put his hand on his brother-in-law's shoulder. "Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore. After we finish eating, I'll arrange for two Senior Sisters to show you around the campus."

Before Xu Zilin could respond, the girl being interviewed had already stood up.

The girl bowed slightly to Xu Qian and the others, politely said her thanks, and then turned to walk quickly toward the door. As she passed by Qin Yi and the others, her gaze lingered on him for a moment, appearing somewhat shy and nervous.

Qin Yi merely gave her a polite nod. The girl's face immediately flushed red, and she quickly left the conference room.

...

At that moment, Qin Xiaoyue stood up from her chair wearily. Stretching her body, she let out a long sigh of relief and complained, "Oh, I'm exhausted. This whole morning has finally been dealt with."

"Alright now~ You're not the only one who's tired. The teachers haven't said anything yet, but you're already complaining," Qin Yi said with a smile as he stood up to scold her.

"Pfft~ You, the hands-off boss, shouldn't talk so lightly while doing nothing," Qin Xiaoyue rolled her eyes and retorted.

Everyone laughed upon hearing this. Qin Yi also shook his head helplessly and then called out to everyone, "You've all worked hard. Time is tight at noon, so let's just go to the cafeteria for a simple meal together. After the special recruitment fair is over, I'll thank everyone properly."

Dean Liu Changshan stood to the side with a kind smile and agreed, "Yes, I've already booked a private room on the second floor of the cafeteria. Shall we head over now?"

The teachers who came to help smiled at each other, exchanging looks of understanding, and then nodded in agreement.

The group walked out of the conference room chatting and laughing. At the same time, Wang Tengfei and the others filed out from the conference room on the other side.

Zhao Ying and Yoyo were still standing in the hall, waiting. The moment they saw Qin Yi walk out, their originally relaxed mood immediately tightened again.

Qin Yi walked up to Zhao Ying with a smile like a spring breeze. He raised his hand to greet her, "Zhao Ying, don't just stand there. Let's go and have a simple meal at the cafeteria with everyone."

Zhao Ying responded with a soft "Mhm," her voice carrying a hint of a tremble. She gently pulled Yoyo's hand, and the two followed closely behind the large group as they walked out of the college building together.

...

The large group left the college building in a grand manner and headed toward the cafeteria, chatting as they walked.

Wang Tengfei enthusiastically approached Qin Xiaoyue to ask about the various details of the morning's interviews, while Xu Qian curiously leaned in toward Qin Yi and asked, "Young Master Qin, were those two beauties also your classmates?"

Qin Yi smiled and replied calmly, "You could say they're alumni. Zhao Ying is from the Conservatory of Music, and the one next to her is named Yoyo, from the Performance Department. She'll be starting her senior year. They were originally scheduled for interviews in the afternoon, but since we're acquaintances, I just took their resumes directly. Let them start their jobs later."

"Oh~ I see." Xu Qian nodded but didn't say much more. Looking at Qin Yi's reaction, he didn't seem to have any romantic intentions, but a woman's intuition told Xu Qian that this girl named Zhao Ying seemed to have special feelings for Qin Yi. Moreover, she suddenly remembered that Qin Yi's ex-girlfriend, Su Mo, also seemed to be a music student...

At the back of the group, Yoyo quietly approached Zhao Ying, her voice kept very low as if afraid of being overheard. "Ying'er, look at the woman next to Brother Qin Yi; she seems to be his girlfriend. Wow, she's really tall, and her figure is top-notch! Brother Qin Yi is too much of a playboy, isn't he? Didn't he just break up with Su Mo not long ago? How did he find a new girlfriend so quickly?"

Zhao Ying had actually noticed Xu Qian's presence long ago. Hearing Yoyo say this, a wave of inexplicable irritability welled up in her heart. But when Yoyo called Qin Yi a playboy, she couldn't help but defend him, "No way, Brother Qin Yi and Su Mo have been broken up for a long time."

"Oh, Ying'er, I'm on your side. Since you like Brother Qin Yi, then try to fight for him. If you always keep your feelings hidden in your heart, good opportunities will be snatched away by others," Yoyo urged anxiously.

Zhao Ying's face turned slightly red. She glared at Yoyo and lowered her head as if angry. "Enough, stop talking. Do you still want that internship opportunity..."

"Fine, fine. My good intentions are being treated like dirt. I'll stop," Yoyo muttered, making a zipping motion over her mouth with her hand.

...

Before long, the group arrived at the cafeteria chatting and laughing. Dean Liu Changshan had given advance notice, so the private room on the second floor was already prepared. Everyone filed in and took their seats.

Qin Yi scanned the room with a gentle smile. Picking up the teacup by his hand, he spoke with sincerity, "There's still work to do this afternoon, so I can't drink with everyone today. I'll use tea instead of wine to thank the Dean, the counselor, and the teachers for their support. You all taking time out of your busy schedules to help us with recruitment has truly been a huge help."

Hearing this, a gratified smile appeared on Dean Liu Changshan's face. He waved his hand. "Student Qin Yi, you're being too polite. It's an honor for our school that you could return to hold a special recruitment fair. The President also wanted to come in person, but he had an urgent matter in the capital. He asked me to express his gratitude on his behalf and hopes that Student Qin Yi won't mind."

"Dean Liu is too polite. It's I who should be thanking the school," Qin Yi said, lightly clinking his teacup with everyone's. Then he gestured, "Everyone, please start eating. Don't let the food get cold."

...

The atmosphere at the table was lively. After taking a few bites, Qin Yi turned to Dean Liu to talk about business. "Dean Liu, regarding the establishment of the student aid fund and the entrepreneurship fund I mentioned to you before, I think we can start preparing for them now. I wonder what the school's thoughts are?"

A flash of joy crossed Liu Changshan's eyes. He put down his chopsticks and responded seriously, "We've already held a meeting to discuss this, and the school fully supports your proposal. Whatever specific plans or requirements you have, feel free to bring them up."

"Alright, then." Qin Yi nodded, operated his phone for a bit, and sent President Xu's contact information to Liu Changshan. Then, he showed his screen to Liu Changshan. "This is the contact information for President Xu of the Modu Branch of China Merchants Bank. I've already communicated with him. You can contact him later to open two fund accounts directly at their bank."

"That's great. I'll definitely get on this as soon as possible," Liu Changshan said. After pausing for a moment, he suggested, "For such a significant matter, once the school semester starts, we could hold a donation ceremony to officially announce this news. Student Qin Yi, what do you think?"

Qin Yi didn't actually mind using the donation to expand his influence, but he still had to keep up appearances. Qin Yi frowned slightly, and after thinking for a moment, he said, "Isn't a donation ceremony a bit too high-profile? I just wanted to make a contribution to my alma mater."

"Haha, Student Qin Yi, you're joking. One should be low-profile in character but high-profile in action. Such a benevolent act must be celebrated grandly. I think announcing this news during the freshman convocation would be perfect. It'll let the incoming students see how outstanding the talents produced by Modu University are. By the way, Student Qin Yi, would you like to give a speech on stage to inspire your juniors then?"

"Eh~ Let's discuss that later~" Qin Yi neither refused nor agreed. After all, it was still early before the semester started, and he wasn't sure what might happen then.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the table, Li Xitong and Xu Qian were also chatting animatedly.

As Qin Yi's counselor during his university years, Li Xitong knew his college life like the back of her hand. Xu Qian asked curiously, and Li Xitong shared every detail of Qin Yi's time on campus without reservation.

The others sat nearby. Although they appeared to be eating, their ears were all involuntarily pricked up.
