68: Chapter 68 Gang Fight

"Come, bolt the main gate for me! If the money isn't repaid today, no one leaves through this gate!" Chen Hu ordered his subordinates arrogantly with his hands on his hips, a cold sneer curling at the corners of his mouth.

Seeing this, Qin Yi remained calm and unhurried. He walked slowly to Qin Jianye's side and whispered comfortingly, "Dad, take Mom inside first. I'll handle things here!"

"Son, don't do anything reckless. They have many people; if we can't handle it, let's just call the police!" Qin Jianye looked at Qin Yi with a face full of worry, his tone thick with anxiety.

Qin Yi only smiled slightly and said with full confidence, "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing! Two hundred million is nothing; your son can afford to pay it back!"

Hearing this, Qin Jianye felt slightly more at ease. He looked at Qin Yi, a surge of warmth rising in his heart, and then retreated to Wu Xiuhua's side.

"Son, be careful," Wu Xiuhua also reminded him from behind.

Qin Yi smiled at the two of them and waved his hand. "Dad, Mom, go inside quickly. It's enough to have me here."

Although Qin Jianye and Wu Xiuhua agreed verbally, how could they feel at ease letting their son face so many thugs alone? The two of them held hands nervously, staring at their son's back with worried expressions.

Qin Yi strode toward Chen Hu, his gaze fixed on him, and said in a flat tone, "Chen Hu, do you want to make a move first, or do you want to collect the money first?"

Hearing this, a cold sneer curled on Chen Hu's lips as he looked at Qin Yi provocatively. "Heh, what? From the sounds of it, you're the one paying the debt?"

Qin Yi met Chen Hu's gaze without a hint of fear, his tone revealing an unquestionable determination. "Naturally. It is only right for a son to pay his father's debts. I don't care if you're a loan shark or not; I will pay back the money our family owes!"

"Fine! You're a real man!" Chen Hu said, giving Qin Yi a thumbs up before snapping his fingers at the lackeys behind him.

A lackey behind him immediately pulled out the loan contract and a POS machine from a bag. Chen Hu tilted his chin at Qin Yi and continued, "As agreed, two hundred million! Swipe your card, and the loan contract is yours! If you can pay, I can also let bygones be bygones regarding what you did to my subordinate earlier! How's that? Fair enough, right?"

After Chen Hu finished speaking, he looked at Qin Yi with a playful expression, thinking to himself: 'Are you kidding? Two hundred million! In six months, fifty million became two hundred million; this deal couldn't be more profitable! Compared to two hundred million, what does one of my subordinate's fingers matter? But can this kid really produce two hundred million?' Chen Hu silently placed a question mark in his heart.

"No problem!" Qin Yi said, pulling out his China Merchants Bank card. Just as the lackey was about to take it, Qin Yi suddenly pulled it back. A cold sneer curled at the corners of his mouth, but his tone remained calm as he continued, "However, I have one condition!"

"Heh," Chen Hu scoffed upon hearing this, a flash of disdain in his eyes. He continued, "A condition? Kid, get your facts straight! You owe me money, not the other way around. You're paying back a debt and you want to set conditions?"

"So what? Don't they say these days that the debtor is the master and the collector is the grandson? Today, I just want to enjoy being the master for once. Is that not allowed?" Qin Yi did not back down, staring directly into Chen Hu's eyes with a tone that revealed an unquestionable dominance.

The lackey who had just been about to take Qin Yi's bank card turned to Chen Hu and reminded him with a frown, "Boss, this kid is fucking taking advantage of us!"

Chen Hu's face was dark, his eyes staring coldly at Qin Yi, but he raised his hand and slapped the lackey across the face, barking, "Get lost! Out of all these people, you're the only fucking one who understands!"

The lackey clutched his face, throwing a resentful look at Qin Yi, but he didn't dare say anything more and obediently retreated to the side.

After a moment of silence, Chen Hu looked at Qin Yi and said coldly, "Kid, if you can't pay up later, don't blame me for being heavy-handed! Speak, what's the condition!"

"Don't worry, I will definitely pay you back today!" Qin Yi scanned the crowd of lackeys behind Chen Hu, paused, and then continued, "However, there must be an explanation for the matter of kidnapping my father!"

"Pah!" Chen Hu spat upon hearing this. Then, with a darkened face and a disdainful tone, he replied, "So you want to stand up for your old man! Fine, tell me, what kind of explanation do you want?"

At this moment, Qin Jianye hurriedly interjected from the side, "Son, let the past be the past. Let's not pursue it anymore."

"Dad, you don't need to worry about this. I know what I'm doing. I want them to know that our Qin Family isn't someone anyone can just touch!" Qin Yi raised his hand to interrupt Qin Jianye, his gaze continuing to sweep over the crowd as he continued word by word, "Who gave the order to kidnap him? Who laid hands on him? Who beat him? Today, slap yourselves a hundred times, then kowtow and apologize to my father! Then this matter will be settled!"

Hearing Qin Yi's demand, everyone present, including Qin Jianye and Wu Xiuhua, was shocked.

Then, Chen Hu and the crowd of lackeys behind him burst into wild laughter. Chen Hu pointed at Qin Yi, a cold and sinister smile curling on his lips. His eyes were full of contempt as he said coldly, "Fine, kid. I, Chen Hu, have been around Jingnan for so many years, and this is the first time I've met someone as boastful as you! You've got guts, kid!"

Having said that, Chen Hu turned and glanced at his subordinates, roaring, "What the fuck are you still standing there for? All of you, get him! Wreck this kid for me! Just leave him with a breath of life!"

In an instant, cries of battle rose within the small courtyard. Chen Hu's lackeys brandished steel pipes, shouting together and lunging at Qin Yi like a pack of frenzied beasts.

Meanwhile, Chen Hu retreated to the side, crossing his arms. A cruel light flickered in his eyes, and a cold arc curled on his lips as he enjoyed the upcoming show.

...

"Clang, bang..." The sounds of steel pipes colliding with walls and the ground were incessant, disturbing the neighbors so much that they couldn't help but walk out to see what was happening.

They gathered outside the Qin Family's courtyard, craning their necks and widening their eyes as they listened to the commotion inside, discussing it in a flurry of voices.

"What's going on? What happened?" A middle-aged man in a floral shirt scratched his head, his face full of confusion.

"I don't know. Could it be those debt collectors coming to cause trouble again?" a woman holding a child said worriedly.

"Hey, hasn't Qin Jianye's son returned? He still hasn't paid the money?" a tall, thin young man interjected.

"Who knows? I saw his son last night. He was dressed very smartly and seemed quite wealthy. How could they still be fighting..." The middle-aged woman who had claimed to be Qin Yi's Third Aunt last night shook her head, looking puzzled.

"I say, should we call the police? We're all neighbors; we can't just watch..." another middle-aged woman said softly.

However, as soon as she finished speaking, she was interrupted by an old man. "Oh, forget it. Those debt collectors are not to be trifled with. If they find out we're the ones who called the police, they'll come looking for trouble with us later..." He waved his hand as he spoke, looking helpless.

Others also chimed in agreement. "Sigh, that's true... Look at this mess..."

...

Outside the courtyard, some neighbors peered through the door cracks, some climbed onto roofs to look, either shaking their heads and sighing or whispering to each other, but not a single person dared to take the initiative to call the police.

Inside the courtyard, more than a dozen lackeys swung their steel pipes at Qin Yi, but they either hit the air or collided with other people's pipes; they couldn't even touch the corner of his clothes.

Qin Yi's figure was like a leopard, his movements precise and rapid. As he shifted and dodged, he was like a roaming dragon playing in the water, weaving through the dense shadows of the clubs. His eyes were sharp as an eagle's, accurately capturing the movement of every steel pipe and nimbly evading every attack.

Although it's said that 'two fists are no match for four hands, and a good tiger can't withstand a pack of wolves,' and despite the thugs' superior numbers and weapons, Qin Yi felt no fear in his heart. After all, he already possessed the strength of the Middle Stage of Ming Jin and was proficient in Xingyi Quan; even going head-to-head with these thugs wouldn't be difficult.

It was just that being hit by a steel pipe would still hurt. Since he was currently empty-handed, wouldn't he be asking for trouble?

Moreover, Qin Yi had to consider a foolproof plan in case the police intervened later. He should have switched the Miniature Bionic Tracker back to follow mode earlier to leave some evidence.

It just so happened that at this moment, Qin Yi noticed several people on the roof of the next-door neighbor's house pointing their phones in his direction, presumably recording. Qin Yi was delighted; now that there were witnesses and physical evidence, this would definitely count as legitimate self-defense...

Just as Qin Yi was preparing to stop dodging and give these thugs a lesson, one thug thought Qin Yi had left an opening and suddenly swung his steel pipe, aiming for Qin Yi's head.

Qin Yi was quick of eye and hand. He grabbed the steel pipe and gave it a sudden, forceful yank, snatching the pipe from the thug's hand. The thug was also pulled along, stumbling toward Qin Yi.

Qin Yi dodged to the side, and four or five steel pipes slammed into the thug's back. The thug fell to the ground in pain, wailing incessantly.

Nearby, Qin Jianye and Wu Xiuhua watched with hearts in their throats. Wu Xiuhua's tears flowed out of nervousness, and she shouted to Qin Jianye with a sob, "What are you still standing there for? Call the police!"

Qin Jianye was about to respond when he heard Qin Yi approach them and say in a low voice, "Dad, Mom, don't call the police yet. Wait until I'm finished here!"

Then, with the steel pipe in hand, Qin Yi's Aura surged. He brandished the pipe, going head-to-head with the thugs. With the strength of the Middle Stage of Ming Jin combined with his Peak value of 10 in all six attributes, Qin Yi's power was heavy and forceful. Every strike accurately sent the steel pipes in the thugs' hands flying.

The steel pipes flew out of their hands, and the thugs' webs of their thumbs were stung with pain, feeling as if their bones were about to crack!

For a time, the sounds of steel pipes clashing rang out throughout the small courtyard, and the cries and wails of the thugs were also incessant.

Chen Hu, who had been standing to the side watching the battle quietly, was now dumbfounded. He stared blankly at the scene before him, his eyes filled with shock and terror.

"Damn it, a bunch of useless trash! All of you, get the hell out of the way!" Chen Hu roared and strode forward, his hands clenched in a boxing guard and his feet stepping in a staggered pattern, assuming the stance of a boxer.

The lackeys, clutching their aching hands, stumbled to the side one after another, clearing the field for their boss.
