9: Chapter 9 Marriott Auto Dealership

As he stepped onto Jiangzhong Road, Qin Yi's memories came flooding back.

Jiangzhong Road, the luxury car street of the Magic City, was filled with a dazzling array of various brands and models. It was an overwhelming sight and could be called the most prestigious gathering place for luxury cars in the Magic City.

Brands that ordinary people considered luxury, like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi, didn't even make the cut here; they were merely supporting characters on this street.

Top-tier sports cars like Ferrari and lamborghini were everywhere, like street stars drawing the gazes of passersby.

If a dealership didn't have a few such luxury cars parked at its entrance, it only showed that the dealership's strength might be lacking.

Truly rare, limited-edition hypercars like Koenigsegg, Pagani, and Bugatti—cars that easily cost tens of millions—were the true treasures of these shops.

Of course, these limited-edition hypercars were extremely few in number. Some might only have a few units or a dozen units worldwide, while others might have a hundred or so at most. Not just anyone had the ability to buy one.

After all, rarity increases value.

This was also why the wealthy were so keen on chasing limited editions.

He remembered the bmw m4 his father had given him when he first started university. Six months ago, to help pay off the family's debts, Qin Yi had sold that bmw m4 to a second-hand car dealer on this very Jiangzhong Road at a price far below the market value.

It was, in a way, a gesture of filial piety toward his parents.

Though it was a drop in the bucket, it had repaid a small portion of the family's debt and relieved some pressure.

When he sold the car, Qin Yi felt quite reluctant.

After all, that car had accompanied him for over three years and carried many 'sweet' memories of him and his ex-girlfriend, Su Mo.

He remembered how he had foolishly told the dealer that the car meant a lot to him, and that once he had money, he would definitely buy it back...

At this moment, Qin Yi shook his head gently and gave a self-deprecating smile.

Times had changed. He had long since seen through Su Mo's true nature and no longer had any obsession with buying that car back.

Perhaps he should be like those second-generation rich kids, like Wang Hao, and be a scumbag who toyed with emotions, but was that really what he wanted?

He wasn't sure and didn't want to try for the time being. After all, if he really did that, he'd probably be 'beaten to death' by his mother...

Forget it, let the past be the past.

Qin Yi took a deep breath, reminding himself not to get lost in the memories of the past.

He came here to buy a car, to spend money, and to complete his 'task'!

A car is a major purchase. Normally, people buy cars they like within their budget, but not Qin Yi.

He was here with a 'task,' so he had to stick to the principle of 'only buying what's expensive, not what's right.'

After all, he used to be a rich kid himself and had done some research on luxury cars and hypercars.

Although his father's ride back then was only a Maybach GLS worth less than two million, it didn't stop him from understanding and yearning for those luxury cars that cost millions or tens of millions.

What if his father's company had gone public one day?

His fingers continued to tap on his phone to send gifts while he looked up to scan the dealerships on both sides of the road.

Outside the dealership on the left was a white Bentley Continental convertible, likely priced around four or five million. In the past, Qin Yi might have taken an interest.

But now, buying such a car would only slow down his rate of making money; it would be a pure waste of time.

First impressions were important. Qin Yi lost interest in the dealership on the left and turned his gaze to the one on the right.

Outside the dealership on the right was a black rolls-royce cullinan.

The rolls-royce cullinan was hailed as the 'best SUV under ten million.'

He had twelve million in his card now. Naturally, he should first buy the car closest to this price to maximize his returns.

You're the one!

Having made up his mind, Qin Yi walked toward the dealership on the right.

It was now 11:30 AM. The dealership was empty as the sales staff had gone to lunch.

Only two people, who were at the bottom of last month's performance rankings, remained at the door as receptionists.

Inside the sales department, there was an unwritten rule: judge a book by its cover!

If the guest was female, priority was given to male sales staff.

If the guest was male, priority was given to female sales staff.

If the guests were a couple or a married pair, it depended on who was older.

If the woman was older, priority went to male sales; if the man was older, priority went to female sales.

As for the reason, it was naturally 'opposites attract'!

After all, there are magnetic fields between people.

Only when magnetic fields attract and frequencies resonate can a transaction be facilitated more effectively.

Seeing a guest enter, the two receptionists immediately bowed: "Welcome to Wanhao Car Dealership!"

Seeing that the visitor was a handsome young man, the female receptionist greeted him enthusiastically.

"Hello, sir. Welcome to Wanhao Car Dealership. Are you looking for someone or looking at cars?"

In a dealership like theirs, there weren't many guests on typical days. Even on holidays when there were more guests, there were many lookers and few buyers.

The saleswoman noticed the visitor's clothes; although they were all big brands, they were clearly out-of-season styles.

Furthermore, the phone in Qin Yi's hand was a previous-generation 'Fruit' phone.

Hmm, he has money, but not much...

This was the saleswoman's first impression of Qin Yi.

Qin Yi, in turn, quickly sized up the saleswoman. She was quite pretty, with the currently popular 'pear flower' perm. Her skin was fair and she wore light makeup. Her attire looked very professional: a white short-sleeved shirt on top, revealing slender, fair arms, a full chest with a sales consultant name tag pinned to it, and a black pencil skirt on the bottom with nude stockings and black high heels. He estimated her height to be around 170 cm.

Hmm... her legs are quite long...

Being sized up like this, although the saleswoman was used to it, she still felt somewhat displeased.

Hmph ╭(╯^╰)╮, men...

The saleswoman curled her lip inwardly, thinking that if this kid wasn't so good-looking, she would have poked his eyes out!

After a moment, Qin Yi withdrew his gaze and nodded slightly, responding to her enthusiasm by calmly saying three words: "I'm buying a car."

Hearing this, the receptionist was delighted. This young hunk was actually here to buy a car.

The slight displeasure from being sized up by Qin Yi vanished instantly.

More importantly, she hadn't closed a single deal last month and only received a base salary of three thousand yuan. She had even used her credit card for rent. If she didn't close a deal this month, she would really be in trouble.

Therefore, she paid extra attention to this potential customer and, suppressing her joy, invited him inside: "Certainly, sir. Please follow me."

While walking toward the showroom, the receptionist introduced herself: "Hello, sir. I am Xu Qian, a sales consultant at Wanhao Car Dealership. It's a pleasure to serve you. May I ask how I should address you?"

“Qin Yi.”

Qin Yi responded casually, his eyes scanning the layout and decor of the dealership before shifting his attention back to his phone.

This dealership was massive, spanning two floors with a large area. It wasn't apparent from the outside, but looking at it from within, Qin Yi estimated that this dealership alone occupied at least a quarter of Jiangzhong Road.

This alone was enough to see its impressive strength.

However, he currently had forty million Moyin coins sitting in his Douyin account that hadn't been spent yet, so he had to hurry up.

"Oh, hello Mr. Qin. Do you have any preferred brands or models in mind? I can make some recommendations for you."

"Our Wanhao Car Dealership mainly deals in various luxury brands. Bentley, Rolls-Royce, aston martin, lamborghini, and Ferrari—we have all these top-tier sports cars here."

"Of course, we also have mid-to-high-end brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, imported Toyota, Lexus, and Lincoln."

"Whether you want a sedan, an SUV, a business vehicle, or a sports car, Wanhao Car Dealership can meet your needs."

That's how sales worked: first introduce the dealership's strength, then understand the customer's needs.

Only by doing so could one make targeted recommendations and facilitate the transaction.

After Xu Qian finished her long pitch, she stopped and stared at Qin Yi, waiting patiently for an answer.

However, one second, two seconds, three seconds... more than ten seconds passed.

Xu Qian's expression changed from initial anticipation to confusion...

The atmosphere between the two became slightly awkward.

Xu Qian frowned slightly. This Mr. Qin said he was buying a car, but his mind didn't seem to be on it at all.

From the moment he walked in, he had been fiddling with his phone the entire time, completely ignoring her questions.

Xu Qian was already a bit annoyed; she began to doubt whether this customer really intended to buy a car.

But, considering her soon-to-be-due credit card and Huabei bills, she silently took a deep breath to calm herself.

Still adhering to the principle that 'the customer is king,' she gave a light cough to try and get his attention: "Ahem, Mr. Qin? Mr. Qin? Are you listening to me?"
