111: Chapter 111 The Yellow-Eyed Demon

Sean stood in place, his hands still raised at his sides with his palms facing outward.

Golden light flowed beneath his skin for a moment before dimming.

He lowered his hands and looked at the two men.

The shorter one scrambled up from the ground, leaned against the wall, and clutched his chest, gasping for air.

The taller one crouched on the ground and picked up his short knife, but he did not raise it again.

The two of them looked at Sean, and the look in their eyes had changed—

This book is first released across the entire network.

"I said," Sean's voice was flat, "I am not a demon."

The shorter one opened his mouth but could not find the words.

The taller one stood up and sheathed the short knife at his waist.

He looked at Sean, constantly assessing the gap in combat strength between the two sides.

"What are you?" the taller one asked.

Sean looked at him: "I am a police officer."

..

The shorter one scrambled up from the ground, walked to the sofa, bent down to pick up the revolver from underneath it, and holstered it at his waist.

He glanced at Sean, said nothing, and walked over to the taller one's side.

The two of them stood together, looking at Sean.

The shorter one spoke first: "We got the wrong guy."

The taller one also nodded: "The wrong guy."

Look at that!

See, they can talk civilly after all!

Sean grumbled inwardly and looked at them: "What are you looking for?"

The taller one was silent for a while before telling the truth: "A demon. The kind that possesses people. It killed one of ours."

He looked at Sean, thought for a moment, and said clearly: "The aura on you is very similar to it. But it's not you."

Sean said nothing.

He knew what that aura was—

The demon that had lived inside Ratchet for eighty years had been swallowed by him.

The aura remained on him like an indelible mark.

Though it definitely wasn't the same demon, the demonic aura was already flowing through him.

Sean wanted to confirm the identities of the two men, so he asked: "What are your names?"

The taller one was silent for a moment and said: "Dean Winchester."

Then, he pointed to the shorter man beside him: "This is my brother, Sam Winchester."

As expected, it was the Winchester brothers!

Sean's heart stirred, and he silently focused on the golden book in his mind.

The pages did not turn.

He called upon it again, but they still did not turn!

There was no reaction at all.

No character profile, no favorability rating, and no skills.

Sean was a bit disappointed.

The golden book could not be opened for every TV show character he encountered; the most basic requirement was... the other party had to have enough emotional fluctuation toward the host, or rather, favorability.

Without favorability, it would not open.

Sean felt a bit anxious; he knew the capabilities of the Winchester brothers!

Sam's belonged to the 'chosen' type of superpower, while Dean's was more like a 'cursed' passive enhancement.

Sam's power stemmed from being force-fed demon blood by the Yellow-Eyed Demon as an infant, which left a vast power latent within him.

His main abilities included precognition; he could foresee the presence of nearby demons or deaths through 'visions.'

Dean himself was a mortal; his 'enhancement' came from an inescapable curse later on.

Sean remembered he possessed immortality, gaining an extremely strong regenerative ability that made him nearly unkillable.

If he could get the two of them to open the golden book, he would clearly gain some special abilities!

Thinking this, Sean's expression became a bit more polite as he said to the two: "If you don't mind, why don't we sit down and talk?"

Dean glanced at Sam, and Sam nodded slightly.

So, one of them sat on the sofa while the other stood by the window with his arms crossed, both looking at Sean.

Sean sat opposite them as moonlight streamed through the window, falling upon the three of them.

He looked at Dean, then at Sam, and spoke slowly: "I swallowed a demon in the basement of the Lucia State Hospital. It had been possessing a woman for eighty years."

"I swallowed it not because I wanted its power, but because it wanted to kill my friend."

Dean looked at Sean and said nothing, nor did Sam; clearly, the two needed to digest this information.

Sean continued: "I'm human. Not a demon, not a monster, not anything you need to hunt. I'm a police officer, just joined the FBI."

"Of course, I'm also a bit special. I've dealt with witches, Vampires, Ghosts, and even... demons."

Dean listened with some surprise, looking closely at Sean as if weighing whether the man was trustworthy.

Sam leaned against the window with his arms crossed, his brow relaxing slightly, yet he asked: "You say you swallowed it—do you know what that means?"

Strictly speaking, it wasn't Sean who devoured the demon, but the golden book.

Combined with the one that escaped from the New Orleans Church, there was no doubt that demons would come looking for him!

Sean knew this full well, so he nodded: "It's inside me. Its aura is on me. It will attract other things."

Sam looked at him and, seeing Sean's calm expression, felt a bit of admiration, but simply said: "As long as you know."

Dean leaned back on the sofa and crossed his legs: "You say you're a cop, just joined the FBI. So how many supernatural cases have you handled?"

Sean didn't go into detail, only saying: "A lot!"

Dean's eyebrow twitched: "A lot?"

"A lot!"

Sean spoke with certainty, then thought and added: "I might not have seen as many demons as you, but I've seen no fewer types of creatures than you."

Sean was bragging, but to open the golden book and keep the conversation going, he went ahead with the bluff.

Dean leaned back with his arms crossed and looked at him: "Then of all the demons you've seen, which was the most powerful?"

Sean was silent for a moment.

It wasn't that he didn't know how to keep making things up, but rather he was wondering whether to drop a bombshell.

Sean knew the brothers were hunting the Yellow-Eyed Demon, the Prince of Hell, Azazel.

The culprit who killed their mother, destroyed their home, and pushed them onto the path of hunting.

Azazel is one of the four Princes of Hell, transformed by the Archangel Lucifer himself, the oldest and most powerful of the first-generation demons.

He isn't an ordinary demon; he's nobility among demons, Lucifer's direct subordinate, a Prince of Hell.

His power isn't possession or curses; it's something more fundamental and pure.

He can manipulate time, foresee the future, and resurrect the dead.

He can't be killed, only sealed or destroyed by specific weapons and methods.

The Winchester brothers had chased him for many years at great cost, and likely still hadn't caught him.

However...

Right now, to open the golden book, perhaps he could only drop a bombshell.

So Sean spoke eight words with absolute certainty: "The Yellow-Eyed Demon, Azazel."
