26: Chapter 26 Hurry up!

Shaun saw something was wrong and hurriedly shouted, "Nell!"

But Nair didn't react at all.

She just took another step forward.

Cordelia reached out to grab her, but her hand slipped off Nell's arm, and Nell didn't stop.

Bobby Hill's smile widened.

Although... in truth, her smile couldn't even be seen...

"Yes! Just like that!"

"Come, come to me."

Nell continued walking forward.

She walked past Madison, past Cordelia, past Shaun...

Shaun tried to reach out and grab her arm.

"Nell!"

Nell turned her head and looked at him.

Those eyes... were no longer Nell's eyes.

It was as if something was churning inside...

But in that instant, Shaun saw her pupils contract slightly, as if in a flicker of struggle.

Then that look vanished, and she continued forward.

Bobby Hill spread her arms, waiting for her.

"Come," her voice was as sweet as honey, "come to me. Haven't you always wanted to end it? I can help you."

Nell's pace quickened.

Shaun rushed forward, trying to stop her...

But Bobby Hill just glanced at him.

An invisible force slammed into Shaun's chest, knocking him to the ground.

He fell onto the hallway floor, gasping for breath.

Nell had already reached Bobby Hill.

Bobby Hill reached out and caressed her face.

"What a good child, what a fine vessel."

Nell stood there, motionless.

Shaun struggled to get up.

Turning his head, he saw Madison also struggling, but her telekinesis wouldn't work.

Then he saw Cordelia chanting something, but Bobby Hill just watched her with a smile.

Finally, he saw Queenie rush forward, only to be repelled by a force.

Bobby Hill leaned down, leaned into Nell's ear, and whispered something.

Shaun couldn't hear what it was.

But he saw Nell's body shudder.

Then... Nell's eyes closed.

When she opened them again, Shaun clearly saw that there was nothing left in those eyes.

Bobby Hill laughed.

The laughter echoed throughout the house, as if countless people were laughing at once.

In that laughter was triumph, mockery, and an indescribable satisfaction, like a cat that had finally caught a mouse.

Nell stood beside her, her eyes vacant and unmoving.

Shaun climbed up from the ground, his chest still aching, but he couldn't worry about that now.

Madison was still trying to mobilize her telekinesis, but every time she raised her hand, it was as if she were being suppressed by something, only managing to emit a faint ripple.

Her face turned bright red, her expression shifting from anger to resentment, and then from resentment to... a look Shaun had never seen before.

Madison Montgomery, the woman who was always sharp-tongued, always stubborn, and always acted like "I don't give a damn about anyone," was now afraid.

Clearly, after losing her witch powers, she was just an ordinary woman.

Cordelia stood in front of Madison, her hands trembling slightly.

She was chanting something in a language Shaun didn't understand, but each chant made the surrounding air slightly warmer.

But that warmth was too weak; in this bone-chillingly cold house, it was like a drop in the bucket.

Queenie, having been repelled, fell into a corner and was struggling to get back up.

Over there... Bobby Hill had finally finished laughing.

Her gaze shifted from Nell and swept across everyone present.

Finally, it landed on Madison.

"You... just dispersed many of my children."

Although Madison was afraid, how could she admit defeat? She just stiffened her neck and shouted, "They deserved it."

Getting Madison to back down was indeed a very difficult thing.

And Madison's defiance made Bobby Hill laugh again, only this time the smile was deeper and more dangerous.

"Deserved it?"

"They are my family. You come into my home, kill my family, and then say they deserved it?"

Madison didn't say anything.

But she took a step forward.

Cordelia reached out to stop her, but Madison brushed her hand away.

"Cordelia, take them and go."

Cordelia was stunned...

"I said, take them and go." Madison stared at Bobby Hill without looking back. "I'll hold her off."

Shaun looked at her.

That back was trembling.

But even as she trembled, she continued to walk forward.

Bobby Hill raised an eyebrow.

"Little witch, do you know who you are talking to?"

Madison didn't answer.

She raised her hand, wanting to use all her strength again.

Shaun could feel that invisible power surging from Madison, stronger and more turbulent than before.

It was as if she had compressed all her anger, fear, and resentment into this one blow.

Around them... the air was vibrating.

But Bobby Hill raised a hand and gave a light wave.

That power, enough to blow away a dozen ghosts, exploded in mid-air and vanished without a trace.

Madison was overturned by the recoil, flying backward and slamming into the wall with a dull thud.

"Madison!"

Cordelia cried out and rushed over.

Madison leaned against the wall, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, unable even to open her mouth.

Then Bobby Hill was seen slowly walking... no, floating over.

"You have courage. I like people with courage."

Bobby naturally wasn't sincerely praising Madison; her hand was already raised!

"Pity... you cannot become a member here!"

Seeing that this was to be the final blow, Cordelia quickly stepped in front of Madison.

"Bobby Hill," her voice trembled, but she didn't retreat, "They are just children. If you want to kill, kill me first."

Bobby Hill looked down at her.

"Cordelia Foxx, you are a leader, but you are too weak."

Her hand rose a few inches higher.

Visible darkness coiled around that hand, like a living thing, squirming and hissing.

"I'll kill you first, then the others one by one."

The meaning in her words was to wipe them all out.

Shaun stood behind, watching it all.

Many voices were shouting in his head.

One voice said: Run! This is your only chance.

They are witches, they have magic, you have nothing!

Staying is just seeking death!

Another voice said: Who did Madison come for just now?

Who did Cordelia come for?

They were brought in by him.

He had taken for granted that it would be easy for witches to deal with evil spirits!

Now they were going to die.

Because of him.

If he just ran away like this, wouldn't he be condemned for the rest of his life?

Besides, realistically... if he ran now, would Hill Manor let him go?

"Maybe... I just have to take a gamble!"

The moment Bobby Hill's hand rose, Shaun knew there was no time to think.

Madison leaned against the wall, blood dripping from her mouth, no longer having the strength to resist.

Cordelia blocked the way in front of her, but that faint light before Bobby Hill's darkness was like a candle flame before an abyss.

Shaun's body moved faster than his mind.

He rushed forward, pulled Cordelia aside, and shielded Madison with his entire body.

"Shaun!"

Madison's voice rang out behind him, sharp, terrified, and... with a hint of an indescribable sentiment.

But... Shaun didn't look back.
