81: Chapter 81 Just a male witch

Fiona leaned on Cordelia's shoulder, eyes closed, motionless.

The Supreme Witch looked completely incapacitated.

Shaun stood where he was.

He looked at the blood at the corner of Madison's mouth, at Cordelia's pale face, and at Fiona, who was leaning on her daughter's shoulder as if asleep.

Marie Laveau stood opposite, with five Voodoo witches standing behind her.

They looked at him with calm eyes, as if looking at someone who had already fallen.

Shaun took a deep breath.

His hands were shaking, but he took a step forward.

There was no choice; he had to step up!

Seeing that everyone had fallen, even if he cowered... it wouldn't change anything.

Might as well... give it a try!

He truly hadn't expected that the whole thing was a trap set by Marie Laveau.

To take down the witches, she had truly stopped at nothing and had patiently laid out the plan.

Seeing Shaun step forward, Marie Laveau's eyebrows twitched: "You? You dare to step up?"

Shaun didn't speak; he took another step forward.

Marie Laveau looked at him. "There is indeed the aura of magic on you, but... you are merely a Warlock, not worth mentioning."

Shaun didn't speak.

This was basically a life-or-death moment; saying anything wouldn't be of any use.

So he focused his mind...

[Intermediate Magic · Full Release]

Golden light erupted from within his body.

It wasn't a soft halo, but an explosive, blinding light like lightning.

That power surged from his chest, smashing through the mist, through the air, and towards Marie Laveau.

Marie Laveau turned around.

She watched the golden light rushing towards her, neither dodging nor retreating.

She merely raised a hand and waved it, as if shooing away a fly.

Colorful light poured from her palm; it wasn't a wall, but a giant hand.

That hand was composed of viscous power, like swamp mud, with five fingers spread wide, meeting Shaun's golden light.

"Bang!"

The golden light collided with that hand, forming a powerful standoff.

"Huh?"

Marie Laveau exclaimed in surprise and quickly called out: "Together, everyone!"

Immediately, the other Voodoo witches exerted their power together, making that giant hand grow even larger!

Shaun's power, in front of that giant hand, was like paper; it was crushed, torn apart, and trampled.

Golden fragments scattered in the air, like fireflies, flickering, and then extinguishing.

Shaun's body jolted violently.

The recoil surged into his chest, as if he had been struck by a sledgehammer.

He stumbled back two steps, his feet slipping in the mud, almost falling.

A metallic taste surged in his throat, and blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.

His hands were shaking, his legs were shaking, and the golden light was completely extinguished, leaving nothing behind.

Marie Laveau withdrew her hand.

The colorful giant hand dissipated in the air, turning into mist and melting into the swamp.

She looked at Shaun, and in those black eyes, there was no triumph, no mockery, only a calm, condescending scrutiny.

"Is that all?"

Shaun really wanted to curse her for acting so arrogant!

If it weren't for the fact that they were outnumbering him, he wouldn't have been taken down in one hit.

Shaun stood where he was, panting heavily.

The blood from the corner of his mouth dripped down his chin, hitting the muddy water and spreading.

He couldn't move.

It wasn't that he didn't want to; his body wouldn't obey him.

His magic had been drained, like a well scooped dry, with not a drop left.

Madison rushed over and blocked him: "What are you doing?"

Marie Laveau didn't look at her.

Her gaze passed over Madison and landed on Shaun.

"The aura of magic on you is stronger than I thought, but your body cannot support it." She paused. "You are just like a child holding a sword bigger than yourself; it is a good sword, but you cannot swing it!"

Shaun didn't speak.

He couldn't speak; his throat was full of the taste of blood.

But if he didn't speak, he was definitely finished.

Marie Laveau had already turned around, and Shaun knew that once this female monster walked away, he would likely be done for.

So Shaun swallowed the bloody taste, endured the pain, and shouted: "Marie Laveau, you are crazy."

Marie Laveau's footsteps stopped.

She slowly turned around, looking at the person who had spoken.

To the side, Madison looked at him, Cordelia looked at him, and even Fiona slightly raised her head.

"What did you say?" Marie Laveau's voice dropped.

Shaun continued: "I said you are crazy. You leaked the news of the treasure, leaked it to Joseph White, leaked it to those Colombians; do you know who else heard it?"

Marie Laveau didn't speak.

Shaun smiled: "Vampires, The Countess Elizabeth, she is also looking for that treasure."

"And demons, although it is a low-level one, have you thought about the things behind it?"

"When you leaked the news, did you think about the fact that they would come too?"

Marie Laveau's smile disappeared.

Shaun, however, became more and more spirited as he spoke: "Do you think this is just a matter between you and the Supreme Witch?"

"Do you think the treasure is fake, and that once you wear Fiona down to death, it will be over?"

"Those Vampires, those demons, they don't know the treasure is fake. They only know that there is witch power here, things they want."

"They will come, they will search, they will turn this swamp upside down."

As Shaun spoke, he stared straight into Marie Laveau's eyes, but added: "They won't just look for the treasure; they will look for people, the people on your turf, your followers, your Voodoo sect."

Marie Laveau's expression changed.

Not white, but pale green.

Shaun continued to press harder.

"You leaked the news, so you have to bear the consequences."

"When those things come, can you stop them alone?"

"No matter how strong your Voodoo power is, can you stop Elizabeth? Can you stop the thing behind that low-level demon?"

"You wear Fiona down to death, and the next one will be you, your Voodoo sect."

Once Shaun finished speaking, the swamp was extremely quiet.

The mist rolled slowly between the two of them, like a river.

Marie Laveau looked at Shaun quietly and asked: "Who exactly are you?"

Shaun looked at her: "My name is Shaun, just a Warlock."

Marie Laveau was stunned for a moment, but quickly let out a cold snort: "You want me to give up a plan I've spent so many years preparing?"

Shaun immediately said: "Your goal has already been achieved; the Supreme Witch is about to fall, but do you want to kill them all, making the Voodoo sect isolated and alone?"

Marie Laveau was finally somewhat moved!

Looking at Fiona's miserable state, she knew that she was already like a candle in the wind; there was no need to do it herself, she would definitely die!

So she said: "Shaun... the matter of the Supreme Witch ends here; I will keep what you said in mind."

After speaking, Marie Laveau turned around and immediately took the others with her, disappearing into the mist together.

Only four people were left in the clearing.

Fiona leaned on Cordelia's shoulder, eyes closed. Her breathing was very weak, but it was still there.

Cordelia held her, face full of worry, without making a sound. Madison squatted to the side, her hand resting on Fiona's arm, not speaking, her face very pale.

Shaun stood where he was, looking at the rolling mist.

His hands were shaking, not out of fear, but because the surge of strength from just now had passed, and his body was paying the price...
