299: Stupid dog, you're still alive!

The person huddled in the wardrobe struggled to get up.

“Captain...”

Su Liuyuan called out to Jiang Fei weakly, his voice hoarse.

His eyes were bloodshot, making his sallow and gaunt face look even worse.

His chin was covered with stubble, completely devoid of his former handsomeness.

“Don’t speak yet.”

Jiang Fei helped Su Liuyuan onto the boat.

Lu Yu came down from the cockpit and called Xiao Chuxia to come out and help.

As Little Black and Su Liuyuan came up, Jiang Fei noticed that the cabinet contained many dirty trash bags, empty cans, fish heads, and bottles filled with an unknown yellow liquid.

It was hard to imagine how one person and one dog had survived these days.

Lu Yu carried Su Liuyuan on his back and took him to Room 4 of the yacht.

Jiang Fei followed, holding Little Black.

Upon reaching the room, Lu Yu laid him on the bed.

Little Black was placed on the sofa.

Xiao Chuxia examined Su Liuyuan’s body.

His ten fingers were bloody and mangled, and the wounds, not having been disinfected in time and having been soaked in water, were already moderately infected.

There was a bite mark on his left shoulder, also infected.

Fortunately, Su Liuyuan did not have a fever.

“Miss, I need a first-aid kit to bandage Liu Yuan’s wounds.”

Jiang Fei retrieved two first-aid kits, two bottles of spring water, a miraculous ointment, and a dispensing box from the Supermarket warehouse.

She squeezed half of the ointment into the dispensing box.

She handed one first-aid kit and the dispensing box to Xiao Chuxia.

“The miraculous ointment is from the Supermarket; it can heal all external wounds and relieve pain. Apply it after disinfecting Su Liuyuan’s wounds.”

With that, Jiang Fei gave a bottle of spring water to Lu Yu.

Lu Yu fed it to Su Liuyuan.

Jiang Fei went to feed Little Black water and checked its body.

Little Black’s muzzle was covered with thick scabs.

Both of its front paws were injured and infected.

Opening the first-aid kit, Jiang Fei wanted to disinfect Little Black’s wounds.

But Little Black avoided her hand, whimpering softly.

“Sorry, fierce woman… Its mouth was too small, it didn’t bite everyone…” Not understanding Little Black’s words, and thinking it was scared, Jiang Fei gently hugged it and rubbed its head.

Her tone was unusually gentle.

“Good boy, don’t be afraid, you’re home.”

“The infection is very serious and must be treated as soon as possible. Will you stop hiding from me, okay?”

“Woof…” Little Black cooperatively raised its paw, allowing Jiang Fei to disinfect and bandage it.

By the time she finished bandaging, Xiao Chuxia had also treated the wounds on Su Liuyuan’s body.

Both the person and the dog drank a whole bottle of spring water, and their wounds were smeared with the miraculous ointment, no longer hurting, and they both looked more energetic than before.

Su Liuyuan even had the strength to sit up.

He looked eagerly at Jiang Fei, but before he could speak.

Jiang Fei, understanding, took out a bowl of pumpkin yam porridge she had made earlier.

The porridge was not hot and could be drunk directly.

Lu Yu consciously took the porridge bowl and fed Su Liuyuan.

Jiang Fei took out a can of dog food, poured it into a plate, and fed it to Little Black.

Little Black devoured it ravenously.

Soon, it finished all the canned food on the plate.

“Woof!”

More!

“I’ll give you another can later. You’ve been hungry for too long, eating too much at once isn’t good for you.”

Little Black obediently lay down, snuggling into Jiang Fei’s arms.

Meanwhile, Su Liuyuan ate the porridge fed by Lu Yu, tears falling.

In the end, he simply burst into loud sobs.

“Heaven, you’ve finally opened your eyes this once!”

“I thought I would never see you again, I thought I would die at sea.”

Su Liuyuan spoke, breaking down.

The next second, soft, sweet-smelling porridge was fed into his mouth.

Lu Yu: “Save some energy.”

“You’re so heartless to me, man.” Su Liuyuan grumbled indistinctly at Lu Yu, yet he opened his mouth again.

“Ah—”

Lu Yu helplessly raised his hand to feed him porridge.

After drinking the entire bowl of porridge, Su Liuyuan finally felt alive again.

“This is the best I’ve eaten in over half a month.”

Jiang Fei: “What about the others?”

“I don’t know…”

Su Liuyuan looked into the air, lost in thought: “That day I went to the warehouse to pick up goods, but who knew a tsunami suddenly occurred.”

“The tsunami directly destroyed Ping An Small Mall. At the critical moment, Little Black bit me and pulled me into the cabinet.”

“But the waves were too big, I couldn’t get out to check on Uncle Jiang and the others. I could only hold onto the cabinet tightly until I couldn’t withstand the impact and passed out.”

“When I woke up again, I was with Little Black on the vast sea, and Uncle Jiang and the others were nowhere to be found.”

At this point, Su Liuyuan’s voice trembled noticeably: “I couldn’t find anyone to ask for help, nor could I find land, so I just drifted with the ocean currents.”

“Someone tried to eat me, tried to steal my wooden cabinet, but Little Black bit them to death.”

“There was no food or fresh water at sea, so we had to pick up trash to eat. If we were lucky, sometimes we could catch a fish.”

“Little Black and I split it evenly, and when we were thirsty, we drank urine or fish blood.”

Xiao Chuxia asked nervously: “How many fish did you and Little Black eat?”

“Mo Yan’an said that marine life is contaminated by nuclear wastewater, and humans cannot eat it.”

Su Liuyuan was dumbfounded: “We only ate three small fish, palm-sized…”

“It’s over, am I going to get cancer and die, or mutate?”

“I can’t just kick the bucket after reuniting with you all. I also promised Little Black that I’d find him a wife later.”

Seeing that Su Liuyuan was about to cry again, Jiang Fei quickly took out anti-cancer medicine, enhanced new special medicine, and anti-inflammatory medicine.

One of each, she put into his mouth.

Then she gave him a bottle of spring water to take the medicine.

“You often ate Supermarket-produced vegetables and fruits to strengthen your body before, so you should be fine.”

“Besides, you didn’t eat many sea fish.”

“If you feel something is wrong with your body, tell us.”

“I’ll find a way to make you live a little longer.”

Su Liuyuan’s eyes just reddened with emotion when he heard Jiang Fei say:

“If it really comes down to it, I can at least make sure you eat well in your final days.”

Su Liuyuan: “…”

Indeed, the Captain still wasn’t good at comforting people.

After drifting at sea for over half a month, Su Liuyuan needed a good night’s sleep.

Leaving behind daily necessities, spring water, clean clothes, shoes, and other supplies, Jiang Fei, Lu Yu, Xiao Chuxia, and Little Black left.

Lu Yu and Xiao Chuxia went to patrol the deck.

Jiang Fei took Little Black to the No. 1 restroom.

Putting waterproof paw covers on Little Black’s injured front paws, Jiang Fei took out pet shampoo and gave it a bath.

She finally understood what Little Black’s whimpers meant earlier.

It was blaming itself for not saving the others.

“You did great by saving Su Liuyuan.”

“Starting today, I promise you’ll have meat with every meal.”

“Woof woof!” Little Black wagged its tail happily.

As expected, it splashed Jiang Fei with foam and water droplets.

Jiang Fei had no choice but to take a shower herself.

After drying, she took Little Black to Big Yellow’s room, No. 3.

“Meow meow!”

You stupid dog, you’re still alive!

Big Yellow wagged its tail for the first time, imitating Little Black, expressing its joy.

Little Black hobbled around Big Yellow in circles.

Fat cat, it’s great that you’re okay!

Smack—

Big Yellow swatted Little Black’s face with its paw pad, without extending its sharp claws.

Who are you calling fat!

Little Black wasn’t angry about being swatted; it rubbed its head against Big Yellow.

Knowing that the two cubs wouldn’t fight, Jiang Fei closed the door.

Hope rekindled in her heart.

She had no time to think about her racing heartbeat on the deck. She took out a jet ski, preparing to search for people nearby.

Su Liuyuan was here, so perhaps the others were too?

Lu Yu walked over: “I’ll go with you, two people can search faster.”

“Okay.” Jiang Fei took out another jet ski, plus a box of weapons.

She picked two machine guns, one for her and one for Lu Yu.

“Chu Xia, if anything happens, contact me on the walkie-talkie, and Lu Yu and I will rush back immediately.”

Xiao Chuxia: “You two be careful.”

Lu Yu had previously taught Jiang Fei how to operate a jet ski, but she hadn’t practiced it yet.

Jet skis were easier to operate than helicopters. Jiang Fei practiced a few times and quickly became proficient.

The two searched the surroundings for familiar figures, gradually expanding their search area.

When they encountered people trying to steal their jet skis, they swiftly opened fire and killed them.

When they got tired, they returned to the yacht to sleep, and then woke up to continue searching on the jet skis.

For two consecutive days, they found nothing.

Just as Jiang Fei was about to return to the yacht to search in a different location, she suddenly caught sight of a familiar face.
