4: He is a dealer, not a wishing well

To make it easier to receive the goods later, Jiang Fei drove to Linbei District and found a barbecue restaurant for dinner.

It wasn't the busy dinner rush, so the waiter quickly served her meal.

The lamb skewers were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, leaving a fragrant taste with every bite. The grilled squid, covered in a secret spicy sauce, was fresh, tender, and smooth. Jiang Fei couldn't resist and called the waiter over: "The items I just ordered, please grill another hundred of the same sets. I'll take them to go."

The waiter: "???"

"Miss, you can't possibly eat all of that by yourself..."

"Company dinner," Jiang Fei casually offered as an excuse.

The barbecue restaurant became a hive of activity, and the large order even brought the owner out.

After all of Jiang Fei's barbecue was prepared, the owner even brought out several ceramic jars: "These are complimentary pickled garlic, pickled radishes, dried cucumbers, and our secret spicy sauce. They help cut through the richness."

"Thank you."

Jiang Fei declined the waiter's help and put the packed barbecue into her truck herself.

Using the closing of the car door as a cover, Jiang Fei quickly stored all the barbecue into the Gold Swallowing Supermarket's warehouse.

System: "Ding—Detecting that the host has hoarded more than 100 food items. Shelves have been automatically generated for neat storage."

Jiang Fei curiously used her mind to check the Supermarket's warehouse.

The previously empty warehouse now had a row of towering iron shelves, neatly stacked with a hundred portions of barbecue.

The side of the shelf also had a label, reading 'Barbecue'.

Five jars of pickles were placed on the shelf next to the barbecue, labeled "Pickled Goods."

Only one jar of secret spicy sauce sat alone on the "Condiments" shelf.

Not only was it convenient to retrieve, but it also saved her the time of organizing.

Jiang Fei happily finished her inspection, then heard the system's voice again.

"Congratulations, Host, for unlocking a new function! You are awarded one spin on the Lucky Wheel. Would you like to use it?"

Recalling the previous "Thank You for Your Patronage," Jiang Fei hesitated for a few seconds before choosing "Yes."

After a bizarre, bone-snapping-like music ended—

"Life is unpredictable. Please don't be discouraged, Host. Keep up the good work. You have received the 'Distorted Features Pill.'"

She was unlucky again.

Wait!

Distorted Features Pill???

Jiang Fei stared blankly at the small box that had appeared in her hand.

Inside was a brown pill, the size of a pomegranate seed.

System: "Hint: The Distorted Features Pill melts in the mouth. The consumer will experience severe abdominal pain for three days. Please do not consume it by mistake, Host."

If I get something bad, you congratulate me, but if I get something good, you offer comfort. No wonder you're not human, System.

Despite her complaints, Jiang Fei put the Distorted Features Pill into the Supermarket's warehouse.

She'd find an opportunity to use it on some unfortunate soul from Li Yanping's family.

The delivery time from the wholesale market hadn't arrived yet, so Jiang Fei, again using "company dinner" as an excuse, bought 100 cups of milk tea, 100 cups of juice, and 100 cups of coffee, half hot and half cold, from this food street.

Including all sorts of snacks—mala tang, grilled cold noodles, stir-fried rice noodles, jia bing, hamburger sets, fried chicken, chicken wings stuffed with rice, coconut jelly, and so on—Jiang Fei ordered 100 portions of each. Including the previous barbecue, she spent a total of 30,000.

Discovering a cake shop at the end of the street, Jiang Fei directly bought out everything with a wave of her hand, spending another 5,000.

While waiting for her order, Jiang Fei opened a shopping app and bought 100 boxes each of cat litter, warming patches, alcohol, masks, protective suits, various insect repellents, and mosquito products, as well as diving equipment and oxygen tanks.

Buying these items online was more convenient and cost-effective than buying them at the wholesale market.

After the heavy rain, mutated insects would crawl up through the pipes, and with the water cut off, toilets would be unusable, making cat litter the best choice.

Jiang Fei also ordered two bags of cement, planning to seal off the drains in her house later. Her bank card balance was now only 203,689.

She was too poor.

Jiang Fei closed her phone with a sigh, and the vendors had also finished packing her meals.

Using the truck bed as cover, Jiang Fei stored all the food into the Supermarket's warehouse and drove to the foot of a barren mountain.

The warehouse she rented had been abandoned for a long time, but it was large enough to hold all the purchased supplies, and it was cheap and secluded, so she didn't worry about being discovered.

Similarly, this was also a good place for murder and robbery.

Jiang Fei hadn't forgotten the person who had followed her in the market during the day.

The wholesale market was a mixed bag, and her young age, combined with spending nearly a million, would inevitably attract the greed of some people.

She didn't mind a bit of 'black-on-black' action.

Perfect, she was short on money.

A little 'emotional compensation' wouldn't be too much, would it?

Jiang Fei tucked the dagger she had bought on the way into her pocket and got out of the truck.

At exactly 9 PM, the delivery workers from the wholesale market began to arrive.

Jiang Fei had them move everything into the warehouse, mentally tallying the quantities.

As the last company finished moving, Jiang Fei roughly guessed who was trying to pull a fast one.

The owner of the hardware and building materials store, Crippled Wang, hadn't come.

The tracking incident today had also occurred after she left his hardware store.

Jiang Fei's eyes flickered, and she looked around, deliberately raising her voice when speaking to the workers:

"Everyone worked hard tonight. Please be careful on your way back. I need to stay and count the goods. I'll contact you if there are any issues."

After the workers drove away, Jiang Fei walked into the warehouse alone and closed the large door.

The warehouse had a few small windows, through which the faint light inside could be seen.

Under the cover of night.

A man stealthily ran into the woods near the warehouse. It was the henchman who had followed Jiang Fei earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Crippled Wang and ten other men were lying on the ground, holding knives or clubs.

Henchman: "Boss, everyone from the wholesale market has left, and no one else has driven over. Now, it's just that woman in Warehouse No. 11."

Crippled Wang's tense nerves relaxed: "I thought she had some bodyguards. I overestimated her."

"You few stay here as lookouts. The rest of you follow me. Be quiet. I'm going to tie up this girl and demand money from her family."

"If she gets hurt or dies, none of us get to have fun."

The five men behind Crippled Wang quietly agreed and crept towards the warehouse.

No one noticed a dark shadow silently dropping from a tree.

The intermittent chirping of insects in the mountains covered the sound of what seemed like a knife plunging into a body.

—

Crippled Wang led his men around to the back door of the warehouse, raised his knife, and charged in, only to be dumbfounded.

The warehouse, which he expected to be full, was now empty.

The girl was also gone.

Where was she?!

Before Crippled Wang could react to what was happening, *clunk*—

The warehouse lights suddenly went out, and the back door closed.

"Ah!!!"

"Ah ah ah!!!"

In the darkness, screams rose one after another.

"No good! It's an ambush! Run!" Crippled Wang frantically ran towards the back door, but was suddenly struck in the knee by a heavy object, collapsing to the ground in pain.

The warehouse lights came back on, and Crippled Wang's face turned pale.

The five men he brought were lying in pools of blood, eyes closed, their fates unknown.

The black-haired girl stood before him, silhouetted against the light, a baseball bat in her hand still dripping blood.

He hadn't expected to run into such a tough opponent!

"I was wrong! I was blind! Please don't kill me!"

Crippled Wang ignored the pain in his legs, knelt down to beg for mercy, but at the moment he looked up, he pulled out a gun hidden in his embrace: "Go to hell!"

Bang—!

"Ah!"

As Crippled Wang's finger touched the trigger, Jiang Fei struck him on the head with the bat, snatching away the gun.

The next second, Crippled Wang, who was wailing with an open mouth, felt a chill in his mouth as something slipped down his throat.

A severe cramping pain suddenly struck Crippled Wang's abdomen, making him roll on the ground in agony, his features contorted into a grimace.

"Ah ah ah! What did you make me eat?!"

Jiang Fei calmly lied: "Poison. Without an antidote for three days, you will be in agony until you die."

Crippled Wang was completely terrified. Enduring the abdominal pain, he begged for mercy: "Sister! No! Boss! I was wrong! I was really wrong!"

"Please give me the antidote! I can give you money! Anything you want!"

Bang!

A bullet embedded itself in the iron door of the warehouse, instantly silencing Crippled Wang in fear.

Jiang Fei raised an eyebrow slightly, playing with the gun in her hand.

So it was a real one.

"The country has strict gun control. Where did you get this thing?"

Afraid that Jiang Fei would shoot him, Crippled Wang told the truth: "I bought it."

"Before I opened the hardware store, I was a middleman. I had a wide network and many channels, so I bought this gun, thinking it would make things easier for certain tasks. But I've never killed anyone! At most, I've just scared disobedient hostages..."

Jiang Fei: "Then can you also get large quantities of medicine, gasoline, and diesel?"

Crippled Wang felt a big trap waiting for him, but he didn't dare to lie.

The people outside hadn't come in yet, presumably because Jiang Fei had dealt with them.

His life was still in her hands; he had no choice.

"Yes..."

Jiang Fei found Crippled Wang more agreeable and began to place her order: "I want 20 boxes of medicine. I'll add you on WeChat and send you the specific list later. Besides that, I also want 100 barrels of 100-liter gasoline, 100 barrels of 100-liter diesel, 10 machine guns, 10 ordinary handguns, and as many bullets and bombs as possible."

"Including all the items I bought from you, I want double the amount returned."

Crippled Wang: "..."

He was a dealer, not a wishing well!!!

And machine guns and bombs? Why didn't she ask for a fighter jet to fly into the sky?!

But Crippled Wang dared not voice his thoughts and honestly replied:

"Boss, I can get you medicine, gasoline, and diesel, but I really can't do anything about guns and bombs."

"The rules of the black market are that you cannot resell firearms; only the individual can purchase them."

Jiang Fei: "Black market?"

"It's like a trading market that sells contraband and illicit items. It only opens once a year, but their location always changes, so you need to ask the contact person for the location and opening time in advance."

"Last year, it opened at the end of May, and it should be around the same time this year. I have a way to contact the black market people; I can ask as soon as I get back."

Crippled Wang didn't hold anything back, telling Jiang Fei everything he knew.

Jiang Fei: "I'll leave this matter to you."

It would be best if she could buy guns.

If not, she still had a gun, a chainsaw, and cold weapons.

Crippled Wang nodded in agreement, forcing a fawning smile despite his distorted features from the pain:

"Boss, I'm in a lot of pain right now. Do you think you could give me some antidote to relieve it a bit?"

"Endure it. Just think of it as menstrual cramps."

Crippled Wang: "..."

How could an old man like him have menstrual cramps?!

Forget it, he'd just treat it as an experience.

Crippled Wang comforted himself, glanced at his henchmen on the ground, and cautiously asked: "Do I need to deal with these bodies?"

Jiang Fei: "No need. They're not dead."

The apocalypse hadn't arrived yet, and it was still a society governed by law. She didn't want to be responsible for taking a life.

Jiang Fei added Crippled Wang on WeChat, composed her phone number and the list of desired medicines, and sent it to him:

"If you haven't prepared and delivered the items to this warehouse by this time two days from now, you can wait to die from the poison."

Crippled Wang nodded repeatedly, respectfully watching Jiang Fei leave, then reached out to check the breathing of his henchman next to him.

Hey! They really weren't dead!

Crippled Wang immediately called for help, never once thinking to ask Jiang Fei about the missing items in the warehouse.

The more you know, the faster you die; he understood that rule!

The boss must have a professional bodyguard team! It's just that his henchmen were too useless to notice!
