149: Chapter 149 Bait Believers

In this chaotic universe, even the appearance of a star emitting black light is unremarkable.

After all, the projection of any Subspace evil god in the Outer Universe is countless times more terrifying than a black sun.

But what if this black sun was an "Old One" existing in the Outer Universe?

To facilitate the spread of his faith in the Outer Universe, Lin Sheng created a spectacle unique to him.

He enslaved the holy land of an Orthodox God and parasitized the sun of that holy land.

Furthermore, the sun he parasitized was no ordinary sun.

This sun was the projection of that Orthodox God in the Outer Universe.

While parasitizing this sun, Lin Sheng also faced off against that Orthodox God.

During the battle with the Orthodox God, Lin Sheng was quite surprised.

He wasn't sure if this was an isolated case or if all the gods in this universe were like this.

He felt that this Orthodox God seemed surprisingly weak.

Although his battle with this Orthodox God took place in the Outer Universe, that god shouldn't have been this weak.

Lin Sheng barely even used his pressure; with just a few strands of chaotic information, the Orthodox God was defeated.

After this, even though Lin Sheng already had one foot in the Deep Realm, that Orthodox God did not dare to step forward.

He didn't even dare to steal a single glance.

Lin Sheng found such a cowardly Orthodox God boring, and as for stepping directly into the Deep Realm to find him, Lin Sheng currently couldn't do that.

There were still parts of the Deep Realm he found difficult to understand, and until he did, Lin Sheng didn't plan to rashly launch large-scale operations there.

After wandering around the entrance of the Deep Realm, he returned to the Outer Universe.

As for that Orthodox God, after leaving the Outer Universe, he completely abandoned this projection.

Even the believers protected by the projection were abandoned by that Orthodox God.

Lin Sheng naturally parasitized the projection abandoned by the Orthodox God.

Thus, a black sun covered in misty Tentacles and emitting black light was born.

The universe is naturally dark, but the black light emitted by the black sun was on another level; its darkness surpassed the darkness of the Outer Universe's rule level.

For the Fallen Ones, this black light was the ultimate enjoyment.

In the eyes of the Fallen Ones, this was the manifestation of the Old One's power.

Shrouded in black light, their ears were constantly wrapped in chaotic whispers, and their flesh became chaotic and twisted because of the light.

While the Fallen Ones thrived in the black light, for the believers of the Orthodox God, the light was a double torture, both mental and physical.

They not only had to endure the pain of being abandoned by the god they believed in but also had to withstand the chaotic information carried in the black light to avoid accidentally falling into corruption.

After the Orthodox God's projection turned into the black sun, although evil god believers occupied it,

strangely, those Fallen Ones did not attack the remaining Orthodox God believers.

This made the Orthodox God believers very confused.

However, even though the Fallen Ones didn't attack them, some Orthodox God believers who couldn't handle the pressure chose to fall and became Fallen Ones.

But the moment they became Fallen Ones, what awaited them was not release, but death.

That manner of death would make even a Legend powerhouse shudder at a single glance.

The Orthodox God believers didn't understand what the existence that defeated their Lord wanted to do by treating them this way.

...

In the chaotic space of the Outer Universe, Lin Sheng sat cross-legged atop the black sun.

He "piloted" the black sun, flying in a way that completely defied the Patterns of the universe.

Watching the Orthodox God believers struggling on the edge of the black sun, Lin Sheng pondered.

The reason he hadn't disposed of these believers was that he felt he could use them as bait to lure in other Orthodox Gods.

The number of normal creatures in this universe was far fewer than those contaminated by chaos. These former Orthodox God believers should be targets worth fighting over for those gods.

After all, among these creatures, there were two Demigods, and the number of Legend powerhouses reached double digits.

But to Lin Sheng's confusion, faced with such a large bait, those Orthodox Gods actually wouldn't bite.

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hit him as he thought of something.

"chaotic information" is a rule level talent; normally, only gods of the "Old One" level can master it.

In Lin Sheng's current situation, wasn't he an "Old One" who wasn't suppressed by the Outer Universe?

Facing an existence of Lin Sheng's level, lower-level gods didn't dare provoke him, and gods of the same level weren't willing to provoke him for a few believers.

As for higher-level gods...

Lin Sheng wasn't sure if this universe even had any.

Thinking of this, when Lin Sheng looked at those Orthodox God believers again, he no longer suppressed the chaotic information he carried.

...

"System Godfather, use 1 trillion evolution points for a random draw."

Lin Sheng instructed the system as usual.

Currently, evolution points were like a string of numbers to him.

He wanted to use evolution points to do something big, but they weren't enough.

For example, using evolution points to resurrect Eighteen.

Although he had many evolution points now, it was still impossible to accomplish this.

Lin Sheng even had a feeling that if he wanted to rely on evolution points to resurrect Eighteen, he would have to devour a "Great Golden Immortal."

The "Great Golden Immortal" wouldn't need to be too strong—one with a third-grade flower would do.

Or devour more than half of a civilization the size of the "Creator."

These things were still far too distant for Lin Sheng.

Nowadays, besides saving evolution points, Lin Sheng would habitually draw a few times every day.

Although the system had secretly changed the drop rates of the random draw at some point, resulting in Lin Sheng not getting anything good recently,

Lin Sheng firmly believed that his daily unremitting draws would eventually move the system to drop something good for him.

[Ding]

[Congratulations to the Host for obtaining evolution points * 250 (100)]

[Congratulations to the Host for obtaining...]

...

[Congratulations to the Host for obtaining one use of "oracle (1.0)"]

[Congratulations to the Host for obtaining the talent: Harmonizing Light with Dust (Concept). Harmonizes oneself, can neutralize talents, and allows oneself to reach the most perfect state.]

[Congratulations to the Host for obtaining: talent evolution card (Truth Level)]

"Your son thanks you, Godfather!"

Seeing those few golden lights emitting from the draw interface, Lin Sheng immediately bowed his head in gratitude.

How many years had it been?

Lin Sheng had lost count of how long he had been drawing.

After so many draws, the bitterness finally ended and the sweetness arrived today; three golds in a row, and all three were of great use to him.

The use of the "oracle" goes without saying.

Even "Harmonizing Light with Dust," which seemed useless, was of great use to Lin Sheng.

Lin Sheng knew how much the Tiger Talisman meant to the Holy Lord, and because of that, Lin Sheng felt that "Harmonizing Light with Dust" was his own "Tiger Talisman."

He had too many talents now, and his body had even undergone significant changes because of them.

The appearance of the talent "Harmonizing Light with Dust" was like sending charcoal in a snowstorm for the current Lin Sheng.

Finally, Lin Sheng turned his gaze to that "talent evolution card."

"talent evolution card (Truth Level)": Can evolve a Concept Level talent into a Truth Level one.

Looking at this Evolution card, Lin Sheng didn't even need to think twice before he already knew what to use it for.
