63: Chapter 63 The Hidden Dangers of the Solar System

Watching Lin Sheng put away the crystal, Eighteen grinned, a happy smile appearing on its face.

Though by Lin Sheng's aesthetic standards, this smile was somewhat terrifying.

...

After staying with Eighteen for a while, Lin Sheng planned to leave.

But when he was saying goodbye to Eighteen, Eighteen stopped him.

Eighteen pulled Lin Sheng to a relatively flat area, then used its sharp claws to draw nine circles on the Ground.

This was drawn by Eighteen; please do not mistake such a scrawl for the author's work.

The nine circles were of different sizes; Lin Sheng could guess that Eighteen had likely drawn the planets of the Solar System.

However, he didn't immediately guess which planets they were, as Eighteen hadn't drawn the Sun as a reference.

However, with the aid of "Omniscience," Lin Sheng quickly deduced which planets they were by combining the sizes of the spheres.

The outermost one should be "Mercury," followed by "Venus," "Earth," "Mars," "Jupiter," "Saturn," "Uranus," and "Neptune."

As for the last one...

Lin Sheng frowned slightly.

He guessed that it should be Pluto.

Noticing Lin Sheng was deep in thought with knitted brows, Eighteen realized something.

It first pointed at the third circle in the drawing with its finger, then pointed at Earth.

"As I thought."

Lin Sheng glanced in the direction of Earth and then nodded to Eighteen.

Seeing that Lin Sheng understood, Eighteen's gaze suddenly became deep and serious.

Its body began to knot up unconsciously; this was a movement Eighteen would make instinctively when thinking.

Eighteen didn't know that Lin Sheng could understand its meaning, and Lin Sheng had no way of directly telling Eighteen that he could understand what it was saying.

Therefore, if Eighteen wanted to convey information to Lin Sheng, it could only do so through body language and facial expressions.

Eighteen was thinking about how to accurately convey its intended meaning to Lin Sheng.

After pondering for a long while, its eyes suddenly lit up, and its body, which had been tied in a knot, instantly loosened.

Eighteen used its claws to draw another small circle next to Earth and Pluto.

The small circle next to Earth was the Moon, and as for the one next to Pluto, Lin Sheng guessed it was one of Pluto's moons.

After drawing these two small circles, Eighteen turned around and, seeing that Lin Sheng was still watching, it directly emphasized and marked these two small circles.

Then, under Lin Sheng's gaze, Eighteen pointed at these two small circles and then at its own face.

At that moment, a look of fear appropriately appeared on Eighteen's face.

Lin Sheng understood.

There was great terror on the Moon and this moon of Pluto.

Lin Sheng guessed that Eighteen knew he would explore around after coming into contact with space, which was why it had specifically warned him.

Lin Sheng was quite moved by Eighteen's warning.

In this era, only this "big brother" of his would go to such lengths to explain things using images and body language.

"Roar, roar."

Lin Sheng let out a silent low groan toward Eighteen.

He nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face, and began to draw on the Ground with his claws.

Lin Sheng drew a sketch of himself and Eighteen, along with an indescribable Giant Monster.

The monster's size was much larger than Lin Sheng and Eighteen's.

This was drawn by Lin Sheng; the author's drawing skills are far superior to Lin Sheng's.

Eighteen stared at Lin Sheng's drawing.

Looking into Lin Sheng's eyes, it first nodded and then shook its head.

Lin Sheng was puzzled; although "Omniscience" could bring him great convenience, perhaps due to his subconscious, he couldn't use "Omniscience" to read Eighteen's mind.

Noticing that Lin Sheng was confused again, Eighteen also realized there was an issue with its expression.

It pointed at the Giant Monster Lin Sheng had drawn and the Moon, then nodded.

Then it pointed at Pluto's moon and shook its head.

Actually, Eighteen had never been to Pluto, but even so, through accidental contact, it could still feel the deep malice coming from that moon.

Even with just a distant glance, Eighteen would get the illusion that it could be torn apart by many indescribable things at any moment.

Two days ago, an Unidentified Flying Object had even flown from that terrifying place to Earth; Eighteen had only watched from afar and didn't—nor dared to—get too close.

"I can't go to the Moon, and I can't go to Pluto either."

"There's a Giant Monster on the Moon, but the things over on Pluto are still uncertain."

Lin Sheng silently noted down this information.

"Qiang, qiang."

Just as Lin Sheng was organizing this newly acquired information, Eighteen suddenly tapped him.

Lin Sheng turned his head and saw Eighteen pointing its claw at the planet representing Mars.

After Lin Sheng looked at Eighteen's claw, Eighteen then pointed its claw at the scale where Lin Sheng was hiding the crystal.

"So this thing came from Mars."

Lin Sheng nodded to Eighteen, indicating that he understood.

He planned to go check out Mars if he had the time.

Although based on the information previously given by "Omniscience," this method of converting living beings into energy crystals likely came from a technologically advanced civilization.

But Lin Sheng felt that the civilization should have already left the Solar System, and there was a high probability that Mars held no danger.

After all, if that civilization hadn't left the Solar System, Earth's species couldn't possibly be as diverse as they are now.

Lin Sheng swished his tail, and after saying goodbye to Eighteen, he left Eighteen's home.

He flew in the direction of Earth, but this was just a feint by Lin Sheng.

Lin Sheng's true destination was the Moon, which had now rotated to the other side of Earth.

...

Bypassing Eighteen's line of sight, Lin Sheng arrived near the lunar orbit.

He controlled the Electromagnetic Force to keep himself in a state of relative rest with the Moon.

Although Eighteen had said before that the Moon was very dangerous, and Lin Sheng was someone who took advice, under normal circumstances, he wouldn't have come to the Moon.

But from the recent exchange with Eighteen, Lin Sheng could feel that when Eighteen pointed at the Moon, its expression clearly fluctuated violently for a moment.

This made Lin Sheng realize that the Moon, or rather the terrifying creature on the Moon, likely had some connection to Eighteen.

As for what kind of connection, Lin Sheng could figure it out without even trying.

It was nothing more than Eighteen having suffered at the hands of that monster, perhaps even having been beaten to the point of being crippled, nearly dying.

Although Lin Sheng came to the Moon this time with the intention of avenging Eighteen, he wouldn't charge in brainlessly.

Having an understanding of his own strength, this visit to the Moon was just to observe the situation; he would return to deal with the monster on the Moon once he had the power.

The Earth Arc has temporarily ended; next is the Solar System Arc.

There might not be much content in this arc, but the amount of information will be substantial.
