32: Chapter 32 The Original Dialogue

Eighteen stared at Lin Sheng with its eyes, which were larger than Lin Sheng's entire body.

Although it couldn't understand what Lin Sheng was saying, it could sense that the strange syllable coming from Lin Sheng's mouth was a name for itself.

...

Breaking through the cloud layer, Lin Sheng discovered that he was still in the desert, and currently not too far from that giant scorpion's territory.

Now that he had a big brother covering for him, Lin Sheng planned to see if he could get Big Brother to help him vent some frustration later.

Thinking this, Lin Sheng led Eighteen down to the Ground.

Lin Sheng himself was fine; his current body length was only about thirty meters, so landing on the Ground wouldn't cause much of a stir.

But Eighteen was different. Its current body length had reached a thousand meters. Even if it didn't flap its wings while landing, its massive size caused the surrounding yellow sand to billow everywhere.

"Cough, cough."

Lin Sheng kept flapping his wings, trying to blow away the yellow sand surrounding him.

But being at the center of a sandstorm, it was impossible to blow away such a massive sandstorm relying on wings alone.

Seeing Lin Sheng's predicament, Eighteen lowered its head and exhaled a light breath.

This breath was much more effective than the wind from Lin Sheng's wings; the yellow sand dancing wildly around Lin Sheng was instantly blown away.

Then, Eighteen looked at the tiny Lin Sheng with a curious gaze, wanting to see what these Little Things wanted to do by bringing it here.

Seeing Eighteen looking at him, Lin Sheng didn't hesitate.

He extended a claw and pointed at the sandy Ground beneath his feet, then drew a lizard with three pairs of wings on the sand and wrote the two characters for "Lin Sheng" next to it.

Lin Sheng

Then he pointed his claw at the sand drawing on the Ground, and then pointed at himself.

After seeing Eighteen nod slightly beside him, Lin Sheng knew that Eighteen understood what he had drawn.

Afterward, he drew a creature with nine bodies next to himself and wrote "Eighteen" beside this creature.

Eighteen

Eighteen already knew Lin Sheng's purpose for bringing it to the Ground.

This time, without waiting for Lin Sheng to act, it took the initiative to point at the sand drawing with a claw even larger than Lin Sheng, then pointed at itself, accompanied by an "I understand" look in its eyes.

Lin Sheng nodded to Eighteen. He wanted to continue drawing, but Eighteen stopped him.

Setting Lin Sheng aside, Eighteen, who now understood how to communicate, began to draw.

Building upon Lin Sheng's artwork, it drew a circle that enclosed the two drawings representing Lin Sheng and Eighteen.

Then Eighteen drew a circle much smaller than this one next to it, and on the other side, it drew a circle infinitely larger than the first one.

After drawing these three circles, Eighteen picked Lin Sheng up and brought him over.

Lin Sheng instantly understood the meaning of these circles Eighteen had drawn.

Isn't this the Solar System?

The small one represented the Moon, the medium one enclosing them represented Earth, and the largest one was the Sun.

Thinking of this, Lin Sheng nodded at Eighteen and used his actions to prove he understood the drawing.

Using his claws, Lin Sheng added several more circles of varying sizes to Eighteen's artwork.

When Eighteen saw the small circles Lin Sheng had drawn, its eyes suddenly lit up.

It had thought Lin Sheng was just a native of this planet who hadn't seen much of the world, so it had only drawn the three celestial bodies it thought would be easiest to understand.

But to Eighteen's surprise and delight, this seemingly clever little thing actually knew about several of the major planets in this planetary system.

One must know that even it only had a superficial understanding of those planets.

Yet this creature, which couldn't even travel into the starry sky, also knew about the planets in this planetary system; this was something Eighteen had never expected.

Originally, Eighteen had tried communicating with Lin Sheng with a "give it a try" attitude, but to its surprise, Lin Sheng actually knew so much.

Amidst its surprise, Eighteen quickly wiped away the sand drawing on the Ground.

It now knew that Lin Sheng possessed high intelligence and considerable knowledge.

Next, Eighteen began drawing on the sand again.

It drew a very large sphere on the sand, and then drew a small sphere on each side of it.

Lifting Lin Sheng up to the front of its artwork, Eighteen stared intently at Lin Sheng with an expectant gaze.

Being stared at like that by Eighteen, Lin Sheng felt a bit nervous.

He looked at the three circles on the Ground, trying hard to interpret the meaning Eighteen wanted to express.

But no matter how he tried to associate them, he couldn't figure out what Eighteen's three circles meant.

Lin Sheng could only guess that the three circles Eighteen drew were three planets, but as for what those three planets were, Lin Sheng had no idea.

Seeing that Lin Sheng didn't react for a long time, Eighteen didn't get angry.

It raised its claw again and drew some graffiti in the middle circle that Lin Sheng couldn't understand at all.

Although he couldn't understand exactly what Eighteen was drawing, Lin Sheng could guess that the things it drew were creatures from that planet.

Among these creatures were long, strip-like beings with three bodies, creatures that looked like water droplets but had four legs, and strange creatures with four long tentacles...

Lin Sheng looked over the entire graffiti and couldn't find even a single creature he recognized.

Thus, he very simply shook his head at Eighteen, indicating that he didn't know the things it had drawn.

Seeing Lin Sheng shake his head, Eighteen silently set down Lin Sheng, whom it was still holding in its claw.

"Hu~"

A stream of air exhaled from Eighteen's mouth, blowing away its artwork and making that patch of sandy Ground smooth again.

Whether it was an illusion or not, Lin Sheng suddenly felt a sense of disappointment emanating from Eighteen.

Despite being different species, Lin Sheng could feel this emotion from Eighteen.

Lin Sheng now realized the meaning of Eighteen's sand drawing just now.

He thought for a moment, then flew up to the side of Eighteen's head.

Lin Sheng patted Eighteen's head with his claw, signaling it to look down.

Immediately after, Lin Sheng drew the Solar System on the Ground again, along with the three planets Eighteen had drawn earlier.

He drew many little Eighteens next to those three planets and used a box to frame all those Eighteens together.

Then he drew an arrow next to one of the Eighteens, pointing in the direction of the Solar System.

Lin Sheng wiped away the Eighteens and those three planets, then drew himself and Eighteen in the Solar System, also framing himself and Eighteen in a box.

After finishing these, Lin Sheng looked up at Eighteen.

"Dong dong!"

A somewhat muffled metallic sound came from within Eighteen's body.

It stared blankly at the drawing of itself and Lin Sheng framed together, and a surge of inexplicable emotion suddenly welled up in its heart.
