83: Chapter 83 Kuiper Belt

The Giant Millipede opened its mouth, its mandibles grazing past Lin Sheng's wings in a hair-raising close call.

"Zzzzt."

Lin Sheng's lightning struck the Giant Millipede's body, but the result left him deeply disappointed.

When the lightning hit the Giant Millipede, it only produced a few stray arcs of electricity, with almost no effect.

Lin Sheng withdrew the lightning and switched his attack method back to the Anti-Life Equation.

The grayish-white mist landed on the Giant Millipede, but the outcome made Lin Sheng's eyelids twitch.

The Giant Millipede seemed unaffected; under the devastation of the Anti-Life Equation, it continued charging toward Lin Sheng without slowing down.

This time, Lin Sheng wasn't as lucky as before. The Giant Millipede's massive mandibles pierced right through him.

It reared up its upper body, lifting Lin Sheng high as if showing off its trophy to the surrounding insects.

Lin Sheng struggled frantically in the Giant Millipede's mouth. Seeing Lin Sheng's miserable state, Eighteen suddenly accelerated to his side.

It opened its mouth and spat out the milky-white "Remnant Grace," which slowly adhered to the Giant Millipede's massive body.

Because the Giant Millipede's body was so enormous, Eighteen's meager remaining "Remnant Grace" could only barely cover two-thirds of its frame.

The remaining one-third of the Giant Millipede's rear body remained exposed in space.

But this was enough.

The "Remnant Grace" didn't cause any harm to Lin Sheng, but the part of the Giant Millipede's body it covered stopped moving after only a single struggle.

The rear third of its body, not covered by the "Remnant Grace," began to struggle violently, but no matter how hard it tried, the front two-thirds remained unresponsive.

Lin Sheng took the opportunity to escape from the Giant Millipede's mandibles.

This time, Eighteen did not retract the expelled "Remnant Grace," as it had completely dissipated after this use.

While the Giant Millipede was still struggling, Lin Sheng and Eighteen quickly accelerated, putting their escape back on track.

Perhaps because the two of them had dealt with the Giant Millipede, the Zerg Swarm seemed to feel some fear, as their encirclement wasn't as tight as before.

However, this state only lasted for a few minutes before ending.

Insects have no fear; the previous situation was merely due to the pressure from the Giant Millipede, which had prevented them from stepping forward.

Now that they had left the Giant Millipede's territory, the insects became dense once again.

Lin Sheng switched back and forth between the lightning and the Anti-Life Equation to ensure the Zerg Swarm couldn't easily adapt to either ability.

...

After flying non-stop for an unknown amount of time, Lin Sheng drew closer and closer to the Sun.

After reaching a critical threshold, Lin Sheng began flying along the edge of the Sun.

In this position, Lin Sheng could hardly see any sign of the insects.

Upon discovering this, Lin Sheng finally had a rare moment to catch his breath.

At this location, Lin Sheng only had to open his mouth to devour the energy produced by the Sun's Nuclear Fusion.

Furthermore, in this position, Lin Sheng's "Stellar Energy" talent could be utilized to its fullest extent.

After bypassing the Sun, the evolution points Lin Sheng had previously consumed were significantly replenished.

With his evolution points replenished, the pressure on Lin Sheng eased considerably.

But just as he was about to leave the Sun, Eighteen suddenly patted him on the shoulder.

Lin Sheng turned his head to look, and his eyes instantly lit up.

But this wasn't because he had found something good.

Rather, something had blinded his eyes.

Several golden-red fireballs, shining as brightly as the sun and about one kilometer in diameter, burst out from the Sun.

These fireballs were extremely fast, catching up to Lin Sheng in just a few flickers.

Compared to the sizes of Lin Sheng and Eighteen, these fireballs might not look like much.

However, their stellar-level surface temperatures ensured that neither Lin Sheng nor Eighteen dared to underestimate them.

"Are these f*cking insects too?!"

"God d*mned Creators, just what kind of thing did you guys create?!"

Lin Sheng cursed loudly in his heart, but his internal swearing had no effect on the reality of the battle.

The insects continued their pursuit, and Lin Sheng still had to flee.

However, compared to these Stellar Insects, their speed was still a bit lacking.

The Stellar Insects trailed golden-red plumes of fire as they flew toward the two brothers. The burning sensation stimulated Lin Sheng, forcing him to increase his speed by another notch.

But no matter how he accelerated, the Stellar Insects remained glued to his tail, impossible to shake off.

Faced with this situation, Lin Sheng suddenly swapped positions with Eighteen.

Then, a massive cloud of extremely dense Anti-Life Equation erupted from the [censored] at the base of his tail, completely enveloping the foremost Stellar Insects.

After being enveloped by the Anti-Life Equation, the brightness of the Stellar Insects began to plummet.

A few seconds later, the Stellar Insects were completely extinguished, leaving only a few Beetle-like Little Bugs in their place.

Seeing the miserable fate of their companions, the remaining Stellar Insects quickly pulled back to a distance from Lin Sheng.

The Stellar Insects were much smarter than ordinary insects. Having witnessed the horror of the Anti-Life Equation, they did not advance again. Instead, they maintained a safe distance and surrounded Lin Sheng in a U-shaped formation.

However, they didn't strike immediately, instead just hanging behind Lin Sheng's tail.

Although these Stellar Insects gave Lin Sheng a sense of urgency, under their encirclement, the number of insects coming from ahead to block him began to decrease.

Those insects only dared to follow the Stellar Insects from a distance, not daring to keep too close a watch.

This was good news for Lin Sheng; at least he didn't have to worry about being blocked by insects ahead.

...

After flying for an unknown amount of time, perhaps days, a ring-shaped region composed of countless frozen small celestial bodies suddenly appeared before Lin Sheng's eyes.

If Lin Sheng remembered correctly, this was the Kuiper Belt.

Leaving this place would mean leaving the Solar System.

At this moment, Lin Sheng turned his head to look back.

To his surprise, the Zerg Swarm behind them showed no intention of accelerating, still following unhurriedly.

Seeing this, Lin Sheng didn't think much of it and dove straight into the Kuiper Belt.

A sensation of being enveloped by something unknown spread throughout Lin Sheng's body. Once he was fully inside the Kuiper Belt, the feeling vanished instantly.

Lin Sheng looked around.

The Kuiper Belt was very quiet.
