97: Chapter 97 Fusion Strike

After "Stellar Energy" obtained Evolution, Lin Sheng could obtain quite a few evolution points with every breath he took under the sunlight.

Lin Sheng's current balance of evolution points was 744 billion; he planned to wait until the amount reached 1.1 trillion before performing another Evolution.

1 trillion evolution points for Evolution, and 100 billion evolution points as a safety net.

After the Evolution was complete, he would upgrade those talents below "Balance Grade" to "Balance Grade" as appropriate, depending on the usage of evolution points.

Lin Sheng had actually always wanted to evolve the "Semiconductor" talent to "Balance Grade," simply because he wanted to see how powerful this sky-high priced talent really was.

But so many evolution points weren't something that could be obtained in a short time.

Moreover, even if Lin Sheng's evolution points reached the level where he could evolve "Semiconductor," he would still be reluctant to spend over ten trillion evolution points on a single talent.

"We'll see when the time comes."

Lin Sheng temporarily suppressed the thought.

Currently, he had only achieved a preliminary level of Evolution point freedom; he was still far from entering a fully prosperous Evolution point life.

After Eighteen Stars integrated with the Great Universe, several Warp Tunnels at Eighteen Stars broke because the time flow difference compared to the Solar System was too large.

However, after the Warp Tunnel connecting to Earth broke, several new Warp Tunnels quietly appeared at Eighteen Stars.

...

"Chief, giant unidentified biological entities have appeared again at Origin Star!"

"Dispatch the Second Fleet to intercept them, and the Third Fleet to evacuate the civilians."

The "Chief's" majestic voice rang out over the communication channel.

This was a star system filled with interstellar dust.

Because the system was full of interstellar dust, it made the system very bright.

There were four terrestrial planets in the system; one of them, further from the star, orbited the central star normally.

The remaining three terrestrial planets were smaller than the normally orbiting one; they were arranged in an equilateral triangle, with the star at the center of the triangle.

The red one represents the star, the black ones represent the terrestrial planets, and the gold ones represent the orbital paths of the terrestrial planets.

The "Origin Star" mentioned in the communication was the largest and most special of the four terrestrial planets.

With the "Chief's" command, two fleets flew out from two of the three terrestrial planets in the triple terrestrial planet system, trailing long plumes of exhaust as they headed toward the location of the Origin Star.

...

"Second Fleet, hear my command: lure these monsters out of Origin Star's atmosphere to avoid collateral damage to civilians from weapons of mass destruction."

"Do your best to draw the attention of these monsters and buy time for the Third Fleet's rescue operations!"

The commander of the Second Fleet issued orders to all members of the fleet through the communicator.

But just as his voice fell, an urgent inquiry suddenly rang out on the communication channel:

"Commander, many of the monsters appearing this time cannot fly!"

"Please give us instructions, Commander. How should we deal with these non-flying creatures?"

Hearing the question from the communication channel, the commander of the Second Fleet frowned.

Because the monsters that appeared in previous instances were all capable of flight, the commander subconsciously assumed that the monsters appearing this time would also be flyers.

After several emergency responses, the commander had gained some understanding of these suddenly appearing monsters.

They were massive, mindless monsters.

As long as their attention was drawn with something energy-rich, and they were then lured out of Origin Star, they could easily be killed using weapons of mass destruction.

But this time, the non-flying monsters directly disrupted the Second Fleet commander's plan.

Facing this unexpected situation, the battle-hardened commander thought for only a moment before continuing to order:

"Lead the flying units away from Origin Star. As for those non-flying areas, I will apply to the Chief for a 'Fusion Ray' strike."

After the "Commander's" voice fell, several ships of the Second Fleet immediately split into two groups.

One group of ships led the flying units among the monsters away from "Origin Star," while the other group flew at low altitude, drawing the attention of the Ground monster units to buy time for the Third Fleet to evacuate civilians.

For this civilization, these creatures, which were only ten thousand meters long, could be destroyed by weapons equipped on any single ship in their fleet.

But the problem was that the locations where these monsters appeared were always inconsistent; rashly using weapons of mass destruction would undoubtedly be a devastating blow to the surrounding civilians.

"Chief, there are Ground units among the monsters this time. I request to use a 'Fusion Ray' strike on the area after the civilians have been evacuated."

"Request granted."

The Chief's majestic voice came from the other side of the communication channel.

"Ensure the safety of the civilians at all costs!"

After the request was granted, the mesh-like sphere surrounding the star of that star system began to rotate; that was the "dyson sphere" built by this civilization.

The barrel-like devices around the star, resembling "telescopes," also began to adjust.

These barrel-like devices attached one end to the surface of the dyson sphere and pointed the other end toward a giant barrel-like device floating in the distance in the cosmic starry sky.

One end of this giant barrel-like device pointed toward several smaller barrel-like devices, while the other end pointed toward Origin Star.

...

"The civilians have been evacuated."

The Third Fleet connected to the Second Fleet's communication channel, and a deep voice rang out.

"Execute 'Fusion Strike'; the strike coordinates are (**, **, **)."

After the Second Fleet commander gave the strike coordinates, the ships drawing the fire of the Ground creatures accelerated and immediately left the vicinity of the creatures.

The next moment, the light emitted by the star began to focus under the action of convex lenses inside the barrel-like devices.

After hundreds of thousands of focusings, the temperature of the light had reached a terrifying level.

High temperature is the bane of almost all carbon-based lifeforms; if a carbon-based creature hasn't died under the effect of high temperature...

That only means the temperature wasn't high enough.

Without performing a warp or changing the Great Universe's Pattern, the speed of light is the fastest speed in the Great Universe.

The "Fusion Strike" landed on the heads of several monsters almost instantly.

Without even a struggle, these monsters turned into a cloud of ash under the blinding golden light.

"Boom!"

Just then, a strong vibration also came from space.

At the same time, a communication signal came through the Second Fleet's channel:

"Reporting, Commander: One standard unit of Antimatter Bomb consumed. The flying units have been eliminated."
