194: Chapter 194 Leaving Here

"The moment I entered that Great World, I was attacked. My assailant was a 'Filth' with the combat power of a Great Overarching Golden Immortal."

"Fortunately, I had the protection of the Jianmu, allowing me to narrowly escape the pursuit of that 'Filth'."

"It truly was the Jianmu."

Lin Sheng nodded inwardly as he listened to Nan Feng's experiences.

Nan Feng continued his narration, gazing at the tall phantom of the Jianmu behind him as he spoke unhurriedly:

"I was heavily injured during the encounter with that Filth, and while I was recovering, another accident occurred."

At this point, Nan Feng looked up, his gaze falling upon Lin Sheng.

Combining everything Nan Feng had said, Lin Sheng already guessed what happened next.

Sure enough, Nan Feng continued:

"A technological civilization suddenly appeared. They forcibly broke into that Great World and tore away a whole region from it."

"The location where I was staying happened to be within that region."

"That technological civilization brought this fragmented piece of the Great World to an unknown location, and I was forced to come here along with it."

"Sigh."

Nan Feng sighed before continuing:

"After I recovered from my injuries, I thought about leaving this place."

"But unfortunately, the framework of the Great World's laws outside this fragmented world is too strong."

"Under the pressure of a law framework of that level, even with the protection of the Jianmu, I can at most exert the strength of a Golden Immortal."

"If I were to encounter powerful natives there, it would be almost certain death."

By this point, Lin Sheng fully understood the hardships Nan Feng had faced along the way.

He also roughly guessed why this Yinglong, whom he was meeting for the first time, was so enthusiastic, even eager to please.

Firstly, Nan Feng had truly been cooped up for too long; Lin Sheng was the only fellow Daoist practicing The Great Overarching Way he had seen in all this time.

As for the second reason, Lin Sheng speculated that Nan Feng might have perceived something and hoped to rely on him to leave this place.

Thinking of this, Lin Sheng didn't hesitate and asked directly:

"Has Fellow Daoist perceived something? Do you wish for me to take you away from here?"

Nan Feng didn't expect Lin Sheng to be so direct. He was stunned for a moment before nodding immediately.

"Fellow Daoist's guess is correct; I do indeed have that intention."

"I observe that what Fellow Daoist practices is not only The Great Overarching Way, but also the ways of this world and the Great World outside. I presume Fellow Daoist must have a method to travel freely between these worlds."

"If Fellow Daoist is willing to take me away from here, I would be eternally grateful."

"In the future, should Fellow Daoist face any hardship, no matter where I am, I will come to provide my full assistance."

Nan Feng stood up, cupped his fists toward Lin Sheng, and made a solemn promise.

When making the promise, Nan Feng appeared very confident, not at all like he was making an empty threat or a false promise.

He indeed possessed such confidence.

Nan Feng's realm had been stuck at the peak of the Golden Immortal stage for many years. As long as he could leave this place, he was confident he could become a Great Overarching Golden Immortal in a very short time.

Once he became a Great Overarching Golden Immortal, where in the countless chaotic space-times could he not go?

Seeing Nan Feng like this, Lin Sheng stepped forward to help him up.

He didn't agree immediately, but instead asked Nan Feng curiously:

"We have just met. Why does Fellow Daoist trust that I will take you away?"

"Does Fellow Daoist not know that the technological civilization you speak of is naturally opposed to civilizations like yours that cultivate to strengthen themselves?"

Regarding Lin Sheng's question, Nan Feng thought for a moment, shook his head, and explained:

"I have some understanding of what Fellow Daoist says."

"But the world I came from did not have a technological civilization, so this opposition is not intense for me."

"While I am wary of technological civilizations, it hasn't reached the point of immediate hostility upon meeting."

"As for why I would trust Fellow Daoist upon our first meeting..."

"To be honest, I know a bit of the 'Heavenly Deduction' technique. From it, I learned that Fellow Daoist possesses a noble character and is surely an upright existence."

Hearing Nan Feng "praise" him so, Lin Sheng smiled.

He patted Nan Feng's shoulder hard and said with a laugh:

"Rest assured, Fellow Daoist Nan Feng. With those words of yours, I, Lin, will certainly take you with me when I leave this place."

Hearing this, Nan Feng also smiled.

He picked up the teapot on the table, poured a cup for Lin Sheng first, and then poured one for himself.

Nan Feng raised his teacup and said with a smile:

"Once again, I thank Fellow Daoist."

"By the way, I still do not know the purpose of Fellow Daoist's visit."

"If I can be of help, I will certainly do my utmost."

"Even if I cannot help much, I will still do my best."

Lin Sheng raised the teacup and poured the tea onto his true body.

After savoring it for a bit, he spoke:

"To be honest, my purpose for coming here is for the Dragon Race of this world."

"I would like Fellow Daoist to relinquish the position of leader of the Dragon Race. I wonder if Fellow Daoist can part with it?"

Upon hearing Lin Sheng's words, a flash of disdain crossed Nan Feng's face.

However, this disdain was not directed at Lin Sheng, but at the dragons below the Grotto-Heaven.

Nan Feng glanced down, his gaze seemingly able to pierce through the Grotto-Heaven to see the dragons below.

"Them? They are worthy of being called 'Dragons'?"

"If Fellow Daoist wants them, just take them all."

It was truly no mistake that Nan Feng was called the 'Dictator'; in his words and tone, he didn't treat those dragons as his kin at all.

In his eyes, those dragons were like items that could be discarded at will. Since Lin Sheng had asked, he was perfectly happy to give these items to him.

"Since Fellow Daoist has said so, then those dragons—no, those creatures—belong to me now."

Lin Sheng nodded with a smile.

He hadn't expected things to go so smoothly, but considering Nan Feng's attitude toward those dragons, it was all quite logical.

Subsequently, Lin Sheng's consciousness returned to his body.

He looked at Nan Feng before him and invited:

"Fellow Daoist, I need to go and take over those creatures. I wonder if you would like to come with me?"

"Since Fellow Daoist has invited me, I must certainly go along."

Nan Feng nodded. Then, revealing his true form, he opened a passage from the Jianmu Grotto-Heaven to the outside world with a wave of his hand.

Seeing Lin Sheng and Nan Feng emerge from the Grotto-Heaven together, the dragons below were all greatly shocked.

Even Rona's face showed a look of shock.

At this moment, in the eyes of outsiders, Lin Sheng and Nan Feng looked like old friends, both of their faces filled with smiles.

"Could it be that the Venerable God and the Dictator know each other?"

"That shouldn't be. If the Venerable God and the Dictator knew each other, he definitely wouldn't have said something like 'killing the Dictator' before."

Rona was filled with doubt, unable to understand what the relationship between Lin Sheng and the Dictator actually was.
