76: Chapter 76 Observation Notes
It wasn't just Lin Sheng's evolution points balance that was skyrocketing; his body length was as well.
With a single gulp, his size grew by dozens of meters.
Immersed in the joy of the dual explosion of evolution points and body length, by the time Lin Sheng snapped out of it, the Red Crystals on the ground had completely vanished.
Lin Sheng glanced at his body length and evolution points balance.
Body Length: 1,570 meters
evolution points: 112.4 billion
With plenty of evolution points, Lin Sheng decided to undergo an Evolution first.
Out of the 112.4 billion evolution points, he would use 100 billion for Evolution, keeping the remaining 12.4 billion as a reserve for emergencies.
"System, spend 100 billion evolution points to perform an Ordinary Evolution."
[Ding]
[This Evolution will last for 100 Earth stellar days. Please wait patiently, Host.]
"So little? Only 100 days?"
Lin Sheng was slightly surprised.
As his size continued to grow, the time required for Evolution would lengthen, and the evolution points consumed would inevitably become an astronomical figure.
If he wanted to use "Evolution" to avoid damage in the future, he would need to save up even more evolution points.
...
Pluto has a "moon" with a diameter of over 1,000 kilometers; the mass of this "moon" even exceeds that of its primary planet, Pluto.
This moon is the "Di Star," which later generations of humans named "Charon."
Approaching the Di Star, one could see its grayish-brown surface undulating from time to time, as if some kind of organism were breathing.
At one point, the Di Star suddenly stopped "breathing."
It seemed to be gathering its strength, a force that it released in the next moment.
Several Flesh Balls, ranging from dozens to hundreds of kilometers in diameter, were expelled from within the Di Star.
After expelling the Flesh Balls, countless strange-looking creatures also emerged from the surface of the Di Star.
The smallest of these creatures were at least a kilometer long; though numerous, they did not appear chaotic.
After emerging from the Di Star's surface, they began searching for the Flesh Balls that best suited them.
Once all these insects had crawled into the Flesh Balls, the balls began to spin frantically.
A tail flame of unknown principle emerged from the bottom of the Flesh Balls. Driven by this flame, the Flesh Balls broke free from the shackles of gravity and soared into the sky.
These Flesh Balls had different destinations.
Besides Earth, some headed for Mercury, some for Jupiter, and the largest one even headed toward the Sun.
The insects were highly adaptable; except for the one on a suicidal mission to the Sun, the Flesh Balls that went to other planets had already taken root.
Even the one that went to Jupiter had settled on Himalia, beginning its adaptive Evolution for Jupiter.
In time, these Flesh Balls would inevitably become a disaster for the entire Solar System.
...
Lin Sheng was unaware of what was happening in the outside world.
After the Evolution was complete, Lin Sheng reflexively checked his body length on the system panel.
Body Length: 2,600 meters
...
After understanding his physical condition, Lin Sheng scanned his surroundings.
He found that even though his size was twice as large as when he entered, he still didn't feel crowded within the Four-Dimensional Slice.
However, though Lin Sheng didn't feel cramped, now that his size had increased, the two items he hadn't had time to inspect before appeared smaller in his eyes.
Lin Sheng gazed at the Flesh Ball that was now almost too small to see compared to his current size.
[Information Storage Device, contains important information]
Lin Sheng touched the Flesh Ball with his claw, and a vast amount of information, translated by "Omniscience," flowed into his mind.
This information was somewhat similar to an observation report, but compared to a report, Lin Sheng felt it was more like...
A diary?
...
"Why am I the one staying behind to observe?! Argh! @%%!"
"Sigh, whatever, I guess it's just my bad luck."
"In order to stay and develop in the Great Universe in the future, and to avoid having to develop 'Lesser Universes,' I'd better keep good records."
...
"Not bad, I actually managed to apply for two Patterns."
"According to the team leader's intentions, one will serve as the test subject's ability, and the other will provide energy for the test subject in the future."
...
"Lan is really something, forcing something rejected by the Great Universe's underlying logic into this place. What if that thing destroys the test subject?"
...
"It seems the Great Universe's underlying logic has already noticed that pet."
"Forget it, since Lan went to so much trouble to get that thing, I'll help Him disguise it."
...
"It's time to start formally recording the test subject's data."
"First Cosmic Year: The test subject hasn't changed much, but it has adapted to Pluto's gravity."
"Third Cosmic Year: The test subject has left Pluto and officially stepped into the Solar System."
"Tenth Cosmic Year: The main experimental body has stabilized in Pluto's orbit, and other splinters have begun searching for nutrients for the main body."
...
"No, relying solely on the organisms of that one life-bearing planet isn't enough; the test subject's growth rate is too slow."
"Let me give you guys a little boost."
...
"It seems I accidentally overdid it. The test subject is actually showing signs of defeat; that won't do."
"Hmm, I've got it!"
"Converting living organisms into the purest energy—I'm an expert at that."
...
"It seems a bit too monotonous; I feel like something is missing."
"Right, I lack someone to communicate with!"
"Sigh, if it weren't for the fact that the time dimension information of this star system is different from that of the Great Universe, making it impossible for me to communicate effectively with the outside world, I wouldn't have needed to create you all."
...
"The Evolution of intelligent life this time went surprisingly smoothly, beyond my imagination."
"Now that they have high intelligence and self-awareness, to be safe, I'd better add a Mental Seal to them."
...
"Did I forget to evolve a lifespan limit for them?"
"Whatever, let's just call it my gift to you."
"A group of living energy storage devices with no lifespan limit? Not bad, not bad."
...
"They respect me so much, saying everything in the universe was created by the 'Creator.' How is that possible?"
"I am but a low-level member of the 'Creator' organization, but no wonder many members enjoy playing with primitive civilization Evolution; so this is why."
...
"The ...th Cosmic Year. How long has it been? I've almost lost track."
"If only time could go a bit faster!"
"Even though the time flow rate outside is already 1,000 times that within the Four-Dimensional Slice, after a long time, it's still unbearable."
"Isn't there anything interesting happening?"
