201: Chapter 201 The Enemy Appears

No one wasted words.

Several people sat down on the spot almost at the same time and began to practice.

They had waited too long for this day.

Song Yang also found a spot to sit in front of the stone stele.

He closed his eyes and began to attempt "Focused Sensing" according to the description in the first chapter of the "Stellar Gene Evolution Method."

Discarding distracting thoughts, emptying body and mind...

This wasn't difficult for him.

His experiences in the apocalypse had long since tempered his nerves into steel; focus was a basic skill for his survival.

Mental energy, like invisible tentacles, probed outward from between his brows.

At first, there was nothing but a void, with only the air and the steady breathing of the people around him.

But gradually, as his spirit completely quieted down, the world changed its appearance within his "senses."

In the void, there seemed to be countless tiny particles emitting a faint, shimmering light, floating and wandering.

Some were dim, some were bright, like fireflies on a summer night, or like plankton in the deep sea.

Song Yang cautiously used his mental energy to touch one of the brightest spots of light.

There was no rejection as he had imagined.

That spot of light was like a traveler who had found a home, affectionately following his mental tentacles and slowly flowing into his body.

A comfortable warm current entered from the top of his head and spread to his four limbs and every bone!

Song Yang could clearly "internally view" that every cell in his body was emitting a joyful vibration under the washing of this warm current.

They were like parched land meeting sweet rain, greedily absorbing this higher-level energy from the outside world.

After an unknown amount of time, the first to open his eyes was the bald Zhao Yong.

He first blinked blankly, then suddenly leaped up from the ground, jumping three feet high in excitement.

“What a refreshing feeling! I feel like I have endless strength! It’s completely different from that feeling of being squeezed dry before!”

Immediately after, Zhou Yi, Li Zhenguo, and the others also opened their eyes one after another.

Shock that could not be concealed was written on everyone's face.

“One hour.”

Li Zhenguo glanced at the time on his wristband and sighed, “Just one hour of cultivation, and the effect has already surpassed our past week.”

“A week? You’re being too conservative!”

Zhao Yong grinned widely, feeling the surging power in his limbs, “This is worth a month of my past life-and-death efforts!”

“Alright, there will be plenty of time for cultivation later.”

Li Zhenguo spoke again: “Besides this evolution method, there is another discovery I gathered you all here for.”

“We found an armory in the spaceship. I know everyone's weapons are made of Earth alloys, but in front of Beast Emperor-level monsters, they aren't much better than fire pokers.”

“Follow me.”

Li Zhenguo said no more, turning to lead everyone deep into the spaceship.

The internal corridor of the spaceship was wide enough for two heavy trucks to drive side-by-side. The walls were made of an unidentifiable metal, perfectly integrated without a single seam.

The lights beneath their feet were bright, yet no light sources could be seen, as if the light was generated out of thin air.

At the end of the corridor was a massive space.

Row upon row of weapon racks that stretched out of sight stood quietly.

Various strangely shaped weapons were displayed on them.

Some looked like rifles, some like cannons—a great variety.

“Holy crap.”

Zhao Yong was practically drooling. He dashed forward, picked up an alien firearm with the coolest design and the thickest barrel, and tried to strike an aiming pose. “This! This is awesome!”

However, after fiddling with it for a long time, the firearm remained like a piece of dead iron, showing no reaction.

“Don't waste your energy.”

Li Zhenguo walked over and pointed at those firearms, “We’ve tried. We humans can't use these energy weapons.”

Zhao Yong immediately deflated like a punctured ball, grumbling as he threw the gun back onto the rack.

Everyone's gaze then moved away from those flashy but useless energy weapons and turned to the cold weapon section on the other side.

Sabers, swords, axes, halberds... though their designs were also full of alien style, at least their usage was obvious at a glance.

Zhou Yi picked up a simple-looking war saber. A dull light flowed over the blade. With just a gentle swing, a sharp tearing sound echoed in the air.

“A fine blade! The density is extremely high, and the center of gravity and mechanical design are flawless!”

Everyone stepped forward one after another, picking out weapons they liked.

Song Yang's gaze eventually rested on the deepest part of the armory, where there was a long spear that was pitch black all over.

He walked over and reached out to grasp the shaft.

The long spear didn't budge.

“Hmm?”

Song Yang raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised.

He applied a bit of strength.

“Rise!”

With a low shout, that black long spear was finally slowly lifted from the ground by him!

Tens of thousands of kilograms!

Song Yang instantly came to a startling conclusion in his heart.

This seemingly ordinary long spear had reached an inconceivable weight!

Everyone found weapons that suited them, their faces beaming with joy.

Song Yang weighed the black spear in his hand. With a thought, he also took out the Meteoric Iron Spear he had previously obtained from Boss Li.

He held the Meteoric Iron Spear in his left hand and this unknown black spear in his right.

Under everyone's curious gazes, he gently tapped the tips of the two spears together.

There was no sound.

The head of the Meteoric Iron Spear was sliced off silently, like a hot knife through butter, the cut as smooth as a mirror.

“Hiss...”

The sound of people drawing in cold air echoed one after another in the empty armory.

That Meteoric Iron Spear was already the best material obtainable on Earth and was indestructible in their hands, yet before this black spear, it was as fragile as a noodle.

Song Yang was quite satisfied.

With this spear, the Beast Emperor's indestructible scales would no longer be an advantage in front of him.

...

After selecting their weapons, the group did not stay long and took the elevator back to the Underground City.

Song Yang, however, left the Underground City alone and went to the outskirts of Dajing City.

This place was once a prosperous satellite city, but now only broken walls and ruins remained, reclaimed by overgrown plants.

He stopped in front of a particularly dense jungle.

“Come out. Aren't you tired of following me all this way?”

As soon as he finished speaking, a figure slowly stepped out from behind a large tree ten meters behind him.

Golden long hair, azure eyes, and a slender yet explosive physique.

The woman held two beautifully curved scimitars in her hands.

It was none other than the foreign female War God who had escaped from Danan City, Isabelle.

“I really didn't expect to see you here again.”

Unconcealed flames of hatred burned in Isabelle's azure pupils, “It took me a long time to find you.”

“Likewise.”

Song Yang smiled and said, “I also didn't expect a foreigner would choose to join The Authorities.”

“The Authorities?”

Isabelle acted as if she had heard a joke, “I came only for revenge. I know I am not your match alone right now. To be able to kill you with my own hands, I have paid a huge price.”

“Come out, my friends.”

Following her words, two more figures walked out of the dense forest, one on the left and one on the right, completely blocking Song Yang's path of retreat.

On the left was a burly white man, bald, with a hideous scar on his face, carrying a massive greatsword on his shoulder.

On the right was a black man with an even more robust build. His bulging muscles almost burst his combat suit, and he carried a large flail in his hand. The iron chain rattled as it swung in his hand.

“Isabelle, we had a deal. We help you kill the guy, and you let us play. You can't go back on your word.”

The white man's lecherous gaze swept across the woman's chest.

As an Evolver, only the powerful bodies of other Evolvers could withstand his wanton venting of desire; ordinary women could not satisfy him and would easily die unless he controlled his strength.

“Cut the crap, move!”

The moment Isabelle's voice fell, the three of them moved.

Isabelle was the fastest, her two scimitars tracing eerie arcs, aiming directly for Song Yang's throat and heart.

The burly white man carrying the greatsword said nothing. He stomped his foot, cracking the ground, and charged like a cannonball, his greatsword hacking down with a whistle that tore the air!

The burly black man grinned savagely, his arm muscles swelling as he threw the flail. It turned into a black whirlwind, curving at a tricky angle to strike at the back of Song Yang's head!

The three War Gods cooperated seamlessly, forming a certain-kill formation in an instant.
