212: Chapter 212 The Strongest Man Reduced to Slave
The burly man was stunned for a moment.
He had killed countless monsters and severed countless heads, but he had never heard such an absurd request.
His gaze swept across his surroundings; those demons from beyond the star sea were all grinning as they stared at him.
A sense of humiliation turned into molten lava, surging within his chest.
"Damn it, who are you looking down on!"
His rage completely detonated his sanity.
The burly man squeezed every bit of his remaining strength into his right arm, his muscles and bones groaning.
The ground beneath his feet cracked inch by inch, and his entire body, like a cannonball fired from a chamber, poured all his lifelong dignity and anger into this single punch.
The fist, capable of blowing up a heavy tank, carried a shrill whistle that tore through the air and landed solidly on Siso's face.
There was no expected sound of flesh and bone shattering.
"Snap!"
The crisp, teeth-gritting sound of a fracture came from his own arm instead.
Severe pain, like a red-hot iron rod, instantly pierced from his knuckles to his shoulder.
The burly man's pupils shrank to pinpoints, and he stared at his own fist in disbelief; it was twisted at an eerie angle, with white bone fragments piercing through his skin and exposed to the air.
Where his fist had made contact, it was not flesh and blood; the sensation was colder and a thousand times more stubborn than the hardest alloy he had ever known.
And Siso had not even blinked an eyelid.
He did not even tilt his head; on that cold face, not even a single red mark was left behind.
"Too weak."
Siso finally spoke.
"How is this possible?"
The man fell heavily to the ground, dust splashing everywhere.
He could not care about the severe pain all over his body, only staring intensely at his twisted, broken arm, his mind completely blank.
A punch force of 300,000 kilograms was the source of strength he was proud of, and the capital that allowed him to become the boss of this city.
This punch was enough to smash a main battle tank into scrap iron, but striking this alien's face was like an egg hitting a diamond.
The opponent was not only unscathed, but his body had not even swayed in the slightest.
This gap had reached a terrifying level.
"Boss, this native actually has some strength; it's almost enough to scratch an itch for you!"
A team member laughed.
Siso turned a deaf ear to his team member's comments.
His eyes, devoid of any emotion, locked onto the burly man's gaze.
"Tell me, where is the most valuable thing on this planet hidden?"
The most valuable thing?
The burly man was stunned, his brain unable to process it for a moment.
In this post-apocalyptic wasteland, weren't the most valuable things food and clean water?
He spoke with difficulty:
"It's the warehouse in the Shelter, all of our canned food and purified water are there."
"Canned food? Purified water?"
A smile curled at the corners of Siso's mouth.
"I am not interested in the garbage you natives use to fill your stomachs."
"Tell me, how did you get this strength? Some kind of special crystal? Or something else containing cosmic energy?"
The burly man stiffened.
If the previous humiliation was a raging fire, then the current terror was ice water poured over his head.
He didn't understand what cosmic energy was, but he understood what the other party was really asking. That was his greatest secret, the foundation upon which he had climbed from an ordinary survivor to the pinnacle of power in this city.
Seeing the hesitation on the burly man's face, Kyle clicked his tongue impatiently and clenched his fists, his knuckles popping like roasted beans.
This sound was a death warrant.
The burly man's psychological defenses completely collapsed.
He trembled, and with his remaining good hand, he pulled a box out from his bosom.
Inside the box, a fruit the size of a fist, completely blood-red, with faint flowing light flickering on its surface, was held in his palm.
The moment that fruit appeared, Kyle's eyes lit up, and without waiting for the burly man to make any further moves, he snatched the fruit along with the box.
He pulled a bracelet-like precision instrument from his waist and aimed it at the red fruit.
A pale blue beam of light swept across it.
"Beep—beep beep—"
The instrument emitted a series of rapid sounds, and a holographic data stream projected in front of Kyle.
The excitement on Kyle's face grew more intense, and he looked up sharply at Siso.
"Captain! The energy reaction completely meets the supply standards for the spaceship's energy!"
Siso took the blood-red fruit from Kyle's hand.
"Thousands."
"If we have thousands of such fruits, we can fully replenish the spaceship's energy, initiate interstellar jump, and return to the Malay Galaxy."
The excitement on Kyle's face solidified slightly, and he smacked his lips:
"Thousands? Boss, can this ghost place really have that many?"
Before his voice had faded, a female team member who had been silent all along—Lina, stepped forward.
"Captain, energy is only one part."
Lina's voice was cold and clear, "Don't forget the structural damage to the spaceship."
"Just now, the wide-area scanner detected a significant number of spaceship wreckage signals on the planetary surface."
"To fully repair the spaceship and achieve interstellar jump, we must fix the important components; otherwise, no one knows what accidents might happen during the jump."
Lina's words were like a stone thrown into stagnant water, causing the lingering excitement on Kyle's face to freeze for a moment.
Structural damage to the spaceship was a more fatal problem than energy shortage.
Siso was expressionless; he tossed the blood-red fruit back to Kyle, then, under the burly man's terrified gaze, walked step by step in front of him.
With a flip of his wrist, a pure black metal ring appeared in his hand.
The burly man wanted to retreat, wanted to struggle, but the severe pain of his broken arm and the fear brought by the person in front of him pinned him firmly to the spot like an invisible giant mountain.
Siso squatted down, ignoring the pleading in the burly man's eyes.
He held the metal ring and pressed it gently against the burly man's neck.
"Click."
The metal ring, like a living creature, unfolded on its own and then snapped shut in an instant, tightly clamping around the burly man's neck; the cold sensation made his blood run cold.
"From today on, you, and all your subordinates, work for me."
Siso stood up, looking down from above at this city overlord who had just been stripped of everything by him.
"You have only one task: use all your subordinates to find all the mysterious objects in this city that are rich in cosmic energy and bring them to me."
"Don't think about running away or playing any tricks."
Siso raised his wrist and tapped lightly on a tiny device on his arm armor.
"This collar allows me to know your location at any time; of course, it has some other functions..."
"As long as I control it slightly, it will slowly tighten; how tight it gets depends entirely on my mood."
"Until you die!"
