30: Chapter 30: The two sides of the game's "Blackie" exchange insults.
"Hiss, take it easy, I can't breathe."
Yang Gao was tightly embraced by Han Xiaoxiao, his head buried against her chest.
At first, he found it somewhat enjoyable, but gradually, he began to find it increasingly difficult to breathe.
"Stop, stop for a second, I can't breathe."
Yang Gao gently patted Han Xiaoxiao on the back.
Only then did she snap out of her daze, blushing as she released him.
"Um... are you really okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Then what do you want to eat? I'll go make something for you."
Yang Gao felt a jolt of panic as he instantly recalled the terrible cooking she had made before.
In his desperation, he gave a sharp tug, accidentally pulling Han Xiaoxiao into his embrace.
The two were pressed tightly together, their warm breathing clearly audible to each other.
"You... you pervert!"
As soon as the words left her lips, Han Xiaoxiao slapped Yang Gao across the face, though her cheeks remained flushed with embarrassment.
Yang Gao felt a burning pain on his face and complained inwardly: If you hadn't insisted on making that terrible food, would I have been so worked up?
Han Xiaoxiao realized what she had done, and seeing the clear slap mark on Yang Gao's face, a tinge of regret welled up in her heart.
"Um... are you okay? I didn't mean to, who told you to..."
She stopped halfway, her face turning red again.
"As long as you don't make that terrible food, anything is fine."
"Fine, then what do you want to eat? I'll go buy it for you."
After Han Xiaoxiao left to buy food, Yang Gao let out a long sigh of relief, relaxing as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
But the next second, he remembered the promise he had made to the players.
"No rush, I'll drag it out a bit longer. At worst, I'll just finish the second phase of Vraks first; it's not urgent anyway."
Yang Gao thought to himself, unaware that this decision would later nearly get him beaten half to death by angry players.
Afterward, Yang Gao logged onto the game promotional website prepared by the organizers for the competition entries.
The moment he opened the backend, he saw the haters attacking him directly.
"What kind of trash game is this? Aren't you afraid of corrupting children!"
"Whoever made this game is definitely an antisocial freak; I suggest the police arrest him!"
Various insults rose one after another in the comment section.
Yang Gao was somewhat surprised; he had expected his game to have haters, but he hadn't anticipated them being this aggressive.
"Are you kidding me? Officer?" Yang Gao muttered.
"I remember back in my previous life, even warhammer 40k didn't have this many haters. Could it be that I'm just too handsome?"
As he spoke, he picked up the mirror on the table and combed his hair.
In the comment section, someone was inciting others: "Don't worry brothers, as long as we keep spamming negative reviews, this antisocial game will definitely be taken down! We're counting on our righteous society members!"
Yang Gao couldn't figure out the reason, so he simply picked up a can of cola by the bedside and drank it contentedly.
"A can of cola after things are done, just one word — refreshing."
Yang Gao didn't care about these insults, but to the players, this was a sign that he didn't take them seriously.
Soon, players who supported Yang Gao joined the argument:
"Is he eating your food?"
"Exactly, exactly. Didn't you see the 'Anti-war' slogan on the game banner?"
"I'm actually laughing. Did you not see the anti-war slogan under the game title?"
"Are you people just unable to stand seeing the gaming industry do well?"
The two sides argued incessantly, and in the end, the server, unable to bear the weight of this fierce flaming war, was on the verge of crashing.
