50: Chapter 50: Orders Issued, Separate Operations Launched to Attack the Industrial Zone

"Brother Chen, what is going on?"

Chen Mo wiped the blood seeping from the corner of his mouth with the hem of his clothes, his tone laced with confusion.

"Yeah, isn't he our enemy?"

"This... I suppose we've formed an alliance?"

At this moment, the Chaplain of the Flesh Tearers Chapter stepped forward to express his apologies.

Upon hearing this, Chen Mo was stunned for a moment, then realized what was happening and began to comfort them: "It's alright. Who could have foreseen that there would be so many Tyranids? You have already done well enough."

"Mortals, your courage also earns my admiration."

After some mutual flattery, the two sides reached an agreement: the Flesh Tearers would lead them in splitting up to search for any remaining Tyranids, organizing into small combat squads so they could provide mutual support if needed.

On the other side, Chapter Master Dante issued an operational plan to each company: a unit of Necrons would head to Tartarus to recalibrate the grand prism.

Commander Dante and the Traveler would personally lead a team to the fallen Industrial Zone of this world to retake the mechanical spire capable of controlling the energy transmission system; the Flesh Tearers and Battle Sisters on the planet Lexios would need to protect the safety of the local Helios data relay system.

And the newly awakened Ineffable One, Garatusa, would work with Blood Angels Second Captain Aphil to ensure the passage to the galaxy on the gas giant Eros remained unobstructed.

Before the operation began, Commander Dante sent a secret astropathic message to the Segmentum Command: "To halt the advance of the Tyranids Leviathan Hive Fleet, I, as Chapter Master of the Blood Angels, hereby issue an Exterminatus order upon the Pluto Galaxy."

Pluto Galaxy.

Asford.

The Imperial forces, along with their newly allied xenos, the Necrons, launched an assault on the fallen Industrial Zone. Led by Commander Dante and the Traveler Anrakyr, they split into two forces, advancing toward their target from both the frontal battlefield and the Underhive area below.

By now, Asford was a ruin, and the Hive Fleet was consuming all available resources in the warzone with astonishing efficiency.

When the first wave of Tyranid bio-drop pods smashed into the planet's surface, the corruption of the world's entire ecosystem had already begun.

Accompanying them were clouds of Tyranid spores; these spore clouds would continuously destroy the local ecosystem, reshaping it into an environment conducive to the survival of the Tyranid Swarm.

Huge, eerie Tyranid biological tentacles reached into the clouds to reclaim biomass.

Biomass was stored by the Tyranid Swarm in vast digestion pools. These creatures not only devoured living things but also consumed soil, minerals, rocks, and even usable substances from the oceans, leaving behind only a scorched, barren wasteland.

The Industrial Zone that the allied forces were attacking had now been transformed by the Tyranids into a massive digestion field, heavily guarded by the Tyranid Swarm.

As soon as Dante stepped onto the battlefield, he locked his sights on a Hive Tyrant and engaged it in an aerial dogfight.

As a battle-hardened veteran, Dante quickly realized that his opponent had excellent mobility, capable of relying on agile aerial maneuvers to dodge his ranged attacks.

Thus, after one exchange, Dante deliberately shut down the thrusters on his back, feigning a fall, and then, as the Hive Tyrant pursued him excitedly, he suddenly drew the melta pistol at his waist and pulled the trigger at almost point-blank range.
