52: Chapter 52 Seizing the Energy Transfer System

As the Blood Angels' offensive was hindered, the Necron forces led by Anrakyr The Traveller were also advancing from beneath the Hive City toward the Industrial Zone. Their objectives also included destroying the tips of the Tyranid Capillary Towers rooted deep underground along the Silver Road, weakening the swarm's supplies and efficiency.

Anrakyr The Traveller's eyes, glowing with an eerie green light, flickered constantly, his thoughts unknown.

Whenever Genestealers roared and lunged from the shadows at the Necrons, the Necrons' Gauss Rays would deconstruct them into an atomic state. Yet the minions of the great devourer seemed endless; for every one that fell, countless more rushed forward. In the darkness, the Tyranids began to tear at the Necrons' Living Metal bodies.

To accelerate their breakthrough of the swarm's defenses, Anrakyr teleported in more Necron forces from the rear to force a way out. When The Traveller's forces fought their way from underground to the surface, they found that Commander Dante's offensive had been stalled—a powerful Bio-Titan blocked their path.

Currently, neither the Necrons nor the human forces could inflict effective damage on this gargantuan conflict unit. To solve the problem, The Traveller unleashed his trump card.

Whether it was the Blood Angels fighting beside the Reclamation Pools or the warriors engaged in a tug-of-war against the Tyranids in the ruins, all were drawn by the sight of a fire descending from the sky.

"Could this be an Orbital Bombardment ordered by the Chapter Master?"

However, as the object plummeted rapidly, people spotted a strange humanoid figure within it. Soon, a massive figure wreathed in flames appeared in the center of the battlefield.

"Taro, is that you?"

"Brother, don't get excited, you're on the wrong channel."

The moment The Burner Nyadra'zatha slammed into the ground, the surrounding ruins and hundreds of Tyranid Warriors were incinerated into ash.

"Holy crap, what is this now? That's so cool."

Even the massive Bio-Titan hesitated for a moment before launching an attack on The Burner with the two Bio-Cannons within its body.

But those incoming Living Bombs were reduced to ash before they could even get close to The Burner. Seeing this, Commander Dante made a swift decision and ordered his troops to retreat, staying far away from these two monsters.

As the troops withdrew, The Burner and the Bio-Titan began to clash. Flames continuously scorched the Bio-Titan's flesh; even a powerful Tyranid creature could not contend with an avatar of the laws of physics.

Then, The Burner threw a punch, shattering the Bio-Titan's Chitinous Carapace and triggering a series of explosions.

In an instant, the tide of battle turned. Having easily slain the Bio-Titan, The Burner began destroying the Tyranids' living capillary towers under The Traveller's command.

The troops led by Dante began to climb from the base of that building through its labyrinthine terrain. The Commander hoped to reach the Control Room before their Necron allies, thereby gaining some degree of initiative.

But he was still a step too late. Before The Traveller, the remaining security systems of the Adeptus Mechanicus were useless, as defense gates opened one after another for the Necron Overlord. The Necrons cleared the remaining Tyranid units from the Control Room, and The Traveller successfully gained control of the Energy Transmission System.

And The Traveller, naturally, would prioritize the interests of the Necrons.
