9: Chapter 9: A brand new individual campaign.
The Black Templars Space Marine drew his power sword and charged forward without hesitation, shouting, "For the Emperor! For humanity!"
As the smoke cleared, the players discovered that the Space Marine's enemies had purple skin, bulbous heads, and three sharp fingers.
"What is this? So disgusting."
"There's an introduction, brothers."
An introduction appeared on the virtual screen: Genestealer, the vanguard infiltration force of the Tyranids, usually produced by a Patriarch Genestealer infecting a host.
Immediately after, the system displayed some images.
"So gross!"
"The Space Marine is still cooler."
In the footage, the Black Templar began to slaughter everything in his path. He pummeled the Genestealers while contacting the Space Fleet to request a bombardment.
"Holy crap, brother, are you crazy? Requesting a bombardment while you're still fighting the enemy yourself."
"Hehe, I like it."
Before long, intense artillery fire rained down on the ground, and explosions erupted everywhere.
At this moment, a massive Genestealer launched an attack on the Black Templar.
"Brothers, this must be the Genestealer Patriarch."
"Exactly, it's huge."
However, facing an enemy several times his size, the Black Templars warrior charged forward fearlessly, his power sword humming intensely.
A flash of white light appeared, and the animation ended.
"Author, you [censored] are teasing me again."
"Brother Gao, don't mess with me, I want to see what happens next."
"Another game campaign has been added, brothers."
"It's a small solo campaign, and there's a description this time."
At this time, Li Pu clicked on the campaign.
"Brothers, your Brother Li is going to continue being the first one to try it out."
"The streamer is way too confident."
"It's normal. If you had trended on the hot search list like the streamer, you'd be this confident too."
"Is that trending topic even decent?"
"Heehee, who knows?"
In the animation, three Cadia soldiers were moving through the ruins, putting up a desperate resistance against the Necrons. By the time two of them found cover—
"Where's Sera?"
Sensing something was wrong, the two quickly peeked out, only to find Sera motionless. Then, a green light began to glow on his body, and with a "thud," he collapsed to the ground.
The soldier nearby wanted to flank the enemy with his teammate, but the moment he changed his magazine, his teammate also met his end. Looking at his teammate glowing with green light, he knew the situation was hopeless. Even so, he didn't lose his composure; he calmly raised his gun and began firing.
Just as he was reloading, the enemy appeared behind him in the next second and ended his life.
"Brothers, my Cadian Soldiers are getting nerfed way too hard."
"What is that thing with a head like a skeleton?"
"Brothers, another new race! Quick, look at the description."
Necrons, a race that should have died out... and then it's just ellipses.
"Brother Gao, is it really okay for you to play around like this?"
"Ah, teasing me again."
A few minutes ago, a creature with four legs appeared on the screen; its body seemed to be made of old metal, and its one large eye glowed with an eerie green light.
He opened a nearby Sarcophagus, and just like that, the Necron inside was awakened.
The newly awakened Necron looked at Zeras and asked a soul-searching question:
"Zeras, what are you doing?"
"I am executing the King's command."
"Then why did you wake me from my slumber?"
"As a Deathmark, I have the authority to command you."
The Deathmark looked at him in silence.
"I now have great doubts about your loyalty."
Astartes and Battle Sisters appeared on the green screen.
"Remember these guys; they are too resilient and have become out-of-control variables. My current experiment must not have any variables."
