97: Chapter 97 Unharmed: The Secret of the First Legion
Yang Gao stared in the direction where the Emperor had vanished, his mind a bit dazed. By the time he came to his senses, everything on the street had returned to normal. The bustling street and the surging crowds were all orderly, as if what had just happened had never occurred.
"What are you just standing there for? Hurry up and help me carry these. I bought so many groceries, they're heavy as death."
He saw Han Xiaoxiao, who had just been knocked unconscious by the Psychic Shock, now carrying the groceries safe and sound, chatting with him casually.
Seeing all this, Yang Gao couldn't help but grumble to himself: The old man Emperor is just too authoritative; he could actually make it seem like nothing had happened.
"I know, I know. You said you couldn't carry them, yet you still bought so much."
...
"Old Chen, how do you think Brother Gao's brain is wired? This plot, this modeling... it's just one word: 'God-tier'."
"Old Li, I'm not mocking you, but if you could do something like this, I, Old Chen, would kowtow to you."
Ye Kun was drawn into their dynamic.
"Then, big brothers, please take care of me in the future. After all, I've only just joined the community."
"Definitely, definitely."
After returning to the residential complex, Yang Gao lay back on the sofa and looked at the system panel. The system had just given him another mission, but no matter how he looked at it, the mission made him feel uneasy.
Introduce the First Legion and increase the players' willingness to become Dark Angels by thirty percent.
Seeing this, he could only seethe with impotent rage in his heart. What kind of ridiculous mission was this? Introduce the First Legion? What else was there to introduce? The secrets of the First Legion? He was joking; he was truly worried that the moment he finished making the video, some paranoid Interrogator-Chaplain would put a bullet through the back of his head.
After all, those who know the Dark Angels of 40k know exactly what they're like—they're practically fanatics. Anyone who gets involved with them can only consider themselves unlucky.
Now he could only pray that if he encountered Lion El'Jonson or some of those fanatics from the First Legion in the future, they would go easy on him for the sake of his 'service to the Emperor and having fought for the Emperor'.
Although the mission was a bit excessive, the rewards were truly generous. A whole company's worth of Terminator Armor, and a company from the Great Crusade era at that.
Let's do it! Fortune favors the bold. So what if it's the Dark Angels? I have a whole trunk full of their dirty laundry!
No sooner said than done, he immediately logged onto the official website and began writing feverishly, documenting every piece of dirt and every secret he knew about the Dark Angels. By the time he finished, he had enough content to make several pages of PPT slides, enough to give students a few full lectures.
(Yang Gao's inner monologue: "Family, do you think I'll survive?")
Meanwhile, in some unknown time period.
"Should we talk about the matter of you leaking our Legion's secrets?"
Of course, Yang Gao was completely unaware of this at the moment, his "wicked" hands tapping away at the keyboard. Just thinking about what he was about to do made him unable to stop chuckling.
"Sorry, Lion El'Jonson, but your old man offered such a generous price that it's really hard not to be tempted."
After the main text is finished, I have a few words for the readers who have remained loyal to me. Due to some personal matters of the author, I've been away for a while, and I sincerely thank the fans who have been waiting for me. So, I plan to start by resuming daily updates. Finally, I'll finish these few chapters first, and then I'll write about the Marines Malevolent and so on that I promised you before. Please be advised.
