76: Chapter 76 Let me show you a magic trick!
The person who arrived was The Fat Guy, wearing a baseball cap and blue work uniform.
He had a thick goatee on his chin, and between the fine hairs, there were even vegetable scraps left over from lunch stuck there.
He chuckled, stepping into the puddles that had accumulated on the lawn, one step at a time.
Thunder rumbled again behind him, and purple lightning tore through the sky.
The lightning was a fleeting beam of light that illuminated the darkness of the earth.
The baseball cap had a string of English letters written on it: [HMCy].
It was the abbreviation for Happy Moving Company.
This The Fat Guy was the very same pale, fat man who had initially helped Chen Mo transport his luggage.
He lived right next door to Chen Mo.
Anna and The Fat Guy had both grown up together in this small town.
The town was not big; the distance from elementary school to high school was barely more than 3 kilometers.
The Fat Guy had not been quite right in the head since he was a child. When classmates discovered they could bully him, he would only laugh foolishly.
Consequently, The Fat Guy became a toy for all the other children.
Everyone abandoned him, except for one blonde girl who stood up for him.
She stopped those classmates who were bullying him right to their faces.
From that moment on, a seed took root in The Fat Guy's heart and continued to grow.
"Anna Catherine must like me. No one else was willing to help me, but she was the only one!"
"This is definitely love, she loves me! She is my future wife!"
Since then, The Fat Guy would use all his pocket money every day to buy delicious things for Anna.
Until the day he held flowers and confessed his feelings to Anna Catherine, only to be rejected in the end.
"Anna must be shy; she just thinks we're too young right now. I can wait for her, wait until I die!"
Afterward, The Fat Guy changed the way he cared for Anna.
He was willing to guard her silently, as long as he could see her every day, that was enough.
He believed that Anna Catherine was just hiding her feelings for him.
Since then, he would hide in dark corners almost every day, peeping at Anna.
When Anna was playing on the playground with friends, he would hide in the tree canopy.
On the way home from school, he would follow her, and if Anna turned around, he would hide behind a utility pole to the side.
After Anna returned home, he would lie outside her window, peeping at her.
Until Anna pulled the curtains shut.
Later, Anna got married and wed a Magician.
The Fat Guy was furious, but this Magician treated Anna very well, so he kept looking for an opportunity.
Looking for a chance to kill him!
Because Anna was his!
Finally, one day, this Magician revealed his true nature, beating and kicking Anna every day, hurling all sorts of abuse at her.
He knew that his chance to be the hero saving the damsel in distress had arrived!
He disguised himself as an evil spirit; he had heard Anna's call.
"Help me, I am willing to sell my soul, help me kill him!"
Every word of Anna's sounded like a stimulant to him, accelerating his desire to kill.
He appeared as an evil spirit, holding a scythe, and chopped off that man's head.
When he saw Anna wearing an expression of terror yet relief.
The Fat Guy felt the time was ripe.
He told Anna, "You should go find the person you truly love (me)!"
But he never expected that Anna would actually go find Sam.
They even returned to this small town and lived right here.
Although Anna was not as sunny as she was when she was a child, and she wrapped herself in clothing from head to toe.
But as long as Anna appeared in his line of sight, even if she were buried in the dirt, he would still be able to recognize that it was her corpse!
Anna had always felt that someone was peeping at her and following her.
She thought it was that evil spirit from back then, it definitely was that evil spirit.
Originally, when she lived in another city with Sam, everything was peaceful.
But ever since returning to this small town, that feeling of being secretly watched from the shadows had appeared again!
"He is here! It must be him, he has come again!"
"I sold my soul to him, he wants to kill me, he even wants to eat the rest of my soul."
Every night, Anna had to check the safe in the Basement to ensure her peace of mind.
A month ago, The Fat Guy received a letter from a mysterious person, saying they would give him a house for free.
And it claimed that Anna Catherine would also move in next door to him when the time came.
The man who called gave The Fat Guy a bottle of black particles, saying it could help him improve his creativity and hand speed.
He also wanted to become a Magician, and he also wanted to win Anna's heart.
So he ate those black particles three times a day, and gradually, he discovered that he seemed to possess power that ordinary people could not comprehend.
Now, he didn't just want to win Anna's admiration.
He wanted to do something even more!
Eat her, turn Anna Catherine into food, and then chew her to pieces.
Only then... would Anna truly belong to him!
Purple thunder flashed behind him.
The Fat Guy opened his mouth, the teeth inside all transformed into sharp blades, and the muscles all over his body began to expand.
Hair grew rapidly, and soon he became a humanoid monster covered in bristles.
He put on the devil's mask once again, and within those two pitch-black eyeholes of the mask, a pair of scarlet pupils were revealed.
Then, he drew the scythe from his back, stuck out a long, slender, slimy tongue, and licked around his lips.
"Hehehe, hahaha!" The Fat Guy covered his face, unable to stop himself from laughing wildly.
He leaped, jumping directly onto the roof of the Villa.
Although his body was huge, he was as agile as a monkey.
The heavy rain poured down, dripping along every one of his hairs, and flowed along the roof toward the balcony on the second floor.
The Fat Guy's neck stretched out, and he lay on the roof, hanging upside down there to observe Anna Catherine sleeping.
Golden, slightly curly hair, pink silk pajamas.
A prominent nose bridge, a fair swan-like neck.
It was just like the stunning beauty in King Kong.
"The story of Beauty and the Beast is all a lie; the beast did not turn back into a prince, but ate the princess instead!"
"Anna Catherine, let me perform a magic trick for you, a magic trick called Dismemberment!"
The Fat Guy's eyes narrowed into inverted triangles; he drew the scythe from his back, preparing to cut off Anna Catherine's legs.
"Hey! What is your situation, you guy?"
"The nun suddenly asked me to come out a bit earlier, even though it wasn't 3:15 AM yet."
The Fat Guy heard someone speaking behind him.
He immediately turned around, revealing a look of shock.
Appearing before him was a man wearing a black tuxedo, a black top hat, and black leather gloves, his fingers gently pinching the corner of the hat's brim.
The other person revealed a wild, arrogant smile, standing on the other side of the eaves.
He stood at a 45-degree angle, and the storm and heavy rain could not move his body in the slightest.
Dressed entirely in black, with a slender build, he stood straight on the eaves like an elegant pianist.
"Who are you? How did you suddenly get behind me?" The Fat Guy's fangs pierced out from his chin, oozing black blood.
His limbs were bent as he crouched on the roof, and dense black mist surged all over his body.
"I am the world's greatest Magician, a loyal believer of the Mother Goddess of Night, and at the same time... I am also your creator!"
Vincent smiled slightly, and his arm inside the black cloak flicked.
A black card was pinched between his fingers.
Then, he moved that playing card to his left eye, blocking half of his face.
He smiled and said: "Let me perform a magic trick for you."
"It is named: Death!"
