82: Chapter 82 The Blood of a Young Girl

In the iron cage, Anna Catherine had tape across her lips, struggling to make a sound.

Her eyes revealed terror and disbelief.

"You seem to have something to say." Vincent snapped his fingers.

The tape stuck to Anna Catherine's mouth was violently ripped off by a pair of invisible hands.

With a "rip" sound.

Her originally delicate lips were instantly covered in countless lacerations, with blood seeping out from within.

Her fair skin was covered in red marks left by the tape.

Anna Catherine hunched over, clutching her mouth and groaning in pain, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Wh-why? Why is it you!"

"Oh? You remember me?" Vincent raised an eyebrow.

"My aunt's name was Elina Catherine!" Anna shouted.

Upon hearing this, Vincent's pupils instantly constricted.

Veins throbbed on his forehead, his anger evident.

"That bitch Elina, she betrayed me. She and that bastard Amy Seeger conspired to kill me."

"I had to act before them. She had always been Amy Seeger's secret lover; she only approached me to find out the secrets of the Mother Goddess of Night."

"Her death was well-deserved!" Vincent roared.

The Elina Vincent spoke of was the blonde woman he had assassinated in the water tank, and she was also Anna Catherine's aunt.

The reason Anna Catherine possessed the bloodline of a Magician was precisely because she was a descendant of a Magician.

"My aunt passed away before I was born. My family told me it was just an accident during a magic performance."

"Everyone thinks you're the most pitiable person, but in reality..."

"That wasn't an accident at all."

"There was nothing between her and Amy Seeger; it was because of you!"

"It was because you were obsessed with surpassing Amy Seeger, you gradually fell into madness, and for the sake of fame and fortune, you used unscrupulous means and descended into depravity!"

"For the sake of those things, you could even kill your own mother with your own hands."

Upon hearing the last sentence, Vincent's pupils instantly went blank.

His heart stung as if it had been cut by a knife.

He clutched his chest with his hand, feeling his breathing become difficult, as the blood in his entire body boiled and burned.

Flashes of memory fragments were like an inescapable nightmare.

Seeing his mother drink the potion he gave her, her soul breaking free from her body, escaping, and being sacrificed to his master.

But his mother did not blame him; instead, before she died, she still wore a peaceful smile.

"Why? I did this to you, why would you still show such a smile?"

"Shut up! Shut up!" Vincent roared.

Terrifying energy fluctuations surged throughout the space, causing all the iron cages hanging from the ceiling to shake violently.

Anna Catherine covered her ears, and blood gushed from her nostrils.

"Right! I must quickly drink the maiden's blood, before 3:15 AM."

Vincent's eyes were scarlet, and he frantically knocked over the furniture nearby, clutching a tool hammer in his hand.

He sniffed, searching for the girl who had escaped.

He smelled the unique fragrance on the young girl, the corners of his mouth curled up, and his eyes revealed a look of infatuation.

"Hehe, I know you're hiding in this room. I'm coming for you, little lamb."

Vincent walked with a strange gait across the floor. His hair began to turn white, wrinkles grew on his face, and he gradually transformed into a white-furred monster.

Once Vincent's figure disappeared in the living room.

The girl who had been hiding behind the fireplace suddenly ran out, holding a magic wand, aiming at Anna Catherine's iron cage.

Looking at the little girl in front of her, dressed like Little Red Riding Hood, Anna frowned tightly.

She warned, "Don't come over here, hurry and hide."

"Big sister, I'm here to save you. I can feel that you are also a Magician."

"As long as I save you, and with Uncle, the three of us can let everyone out together."

"Uncle?" Anna Catherine was a bit confused.

The magic wand in the girl's hand lit up with stars, aimed at the keyhole, and shot out a yellow beam of light.

The mechanism imprisoning Anna Catherine was opened, the cover at the bottom of the iron cage flipped, and Anna fell from the air.

"Where are the people you're talking about?" Anna asked.

"Eh! Big sister, aren't you a Magician? I can feel the magic totem inside you." The girl looked confused.

Anna Catherine now understood that the potion she had concocted according to the parchment Sam had left behind was wrong.

The evil spirit she saw at the time was just that white, chubby man in disguise.

Therefore, she still couldn't see ghosts, let alone the human souls imprisoned in the iron cages on the ceiling.

What she could see... were just those empty iron cages shaking, and it seemed like someone inside was grabbing the bars, desperately calling for help.

"Anyway... let's find a way to leave first, it's too dangerous here."

"This is not something you as a child can handle."

Before Anna could finish her sentence, Vincent's eerie laughter came from behind the door connecting to the hallway.

Pitch-black smoke spread from the end of the hallway, like a crawling lizard, approaching little by little.

"You cannot escape. Before 3:15 AM, none of you can leave here!"

"Of course, that half-baked Magician you're expecting, Sam Ricardo, he cannot enter here either. This is the rule!"

"Facing an existence as powerful as me, he only dares to run away. I will kill him in an instant."

"As simple as crushing an ant!"

A werewolf's head appeared in their line of sight, and Vincent, with a wolf's head and human body, walked out of the darkness.

He was over 3 meters tall, and with every step he took, the ground would emit a "rumbling" sound.

Vincent was still hunched over; if he stood up completely straight, his head would hit the ceiling.

Standing in front of Anna and the little girl was like an adult standing in front of a kindergartner.

The wolf mouth opened, and a long, slimy tongue lolled out, licking around his lips.

Saliva splattered in the air.

"Hehe, let me taste how delicious the blood spurting from your neck really is."

Vincent's figure turned into an afterimage, instantly arriving in front of the two, raising his claws, and swiping at the little girl's neck!

"You, hurry and leave here!" Anna pushed the little girl aside.

She swung her arm, trying to dodge quickly, but the speed of those claws was as fast as a bullet.

Anna's pupils reflected those sharp claws, and her intuition told her.

Those claws would hit her head immediately.

Her head would be crushed on the spot like a watermelon, with juice and flesh mixed into mush.

"Blood! I want to drink more blood!" Vincent shouted excitedly.

"Peter, Alice, Mommy might not be able to stay with you anymore, and also... Sam."

Anna Catherine's body went completely rigid, her neck lifted.

The huge werewolf shadow completely engulfed her.

As if prepared to accept the judgment of death.

"Don't jump to conclusions so early, Mr. Great Magician."

An invisible thread shot out from the mirror in the living room, swiftly piercing through Vincent's hands.

Chen Mo flew out of the mirror, stepping onto a steel wire bridge suspended in mid-air.
