90: Chapter 90 Shattering the Darkness
"Heh, is this your original appearance? Noble Player," Vincent sneered.
"That's right, my true image is actually that of a handsome guy!" Chen Mo revealed a confident smile.
Sadi, that dog, really didn't get along with Chen Mo.
Suddenly, he popped out with a remark.
"I'll give you an objective evaluation: you're a little handsome, but not super handsome!"
Chen Mo: "..."
"You'd better turn back into a normal dog."
As he spoke, Chen Mo gripped his staff, and a stream of dark night light shot toward the dog's mouth.
He dispelled the brick magic on Sadi, simultaneously causing Sadi to lose his magic power.
"Woof! Woof!" Sadi barked twice, having lost his ability to speak.
Alice and Peter were similarly released from the magic.
The wizard robes on their bodies automatically vanished.
Lying on the ground, they lifted their heads and stared at Chen Mo with surprised eyes.
"Are you Daddy?"
"A substitute daddy. I was your temporary daddy for three days, and I gave you quite a bit of pocket money over these few days. You should be very happy, right?"
Hearing this, Alice cupped her little face.
She nodded, "Sam certainly isn't this generous, and your behavior is more like that of a young man. I guessed correctly."
"You really are a big brother! Much more interesting than Sam."
Anna Catherine was the most shocked.
Seeing Chen Mo's young, handsome face and thinking about how she had actually been sleeping in the same bed for the past few days with a young man 10 years her junior.
She was simply dying of embarrassment; wasn't this just a classic case of an old cow eating tender grass?
Fortunately, Chen Mo had willpower, otherwise...
"Heh, noble Player, I don't know what method you used to escape the shackles of the rules."
"But your body is still with me. If I'm not mistaken, the body you are currently using should just be a substitute spell."
"It's very likely piled together from a bunch of broken stones or weeds."
"You won't be able to hold on for long!"
Before Vincent's words had even faded, his figure began to move, turning into a pitch-black afterimage, raising his wolf claws to strike at the two children on the ground.
Chen Mo waved his white cloak and snapped his fingers, his body turning into brilliant fireworks.
Countless fish-patterned flames appeared in front of the children.
The white cloak rose, its surface reflecting a metallic luster.
He used his own body to shield the two children.
Vincent stabbed a claw into Chen Mo's back, and with a "bang," his fingernails turned to powder on the spot.
"What?!"
Chen Mo raised his leg and kicked backward, sending Vincent flying.
Afterward, Chen Mo clenched his palm in the air, and the fallen angel was held in his palm.
He waved it, releasing a string of blue bubbles.
The bubbles continued to grow, shielding the three people and the dog inside.
Vincent spun rapidly in the air, drilling into the wall, a fish-like black shadow swimming quickly within it.
Then, he suddenly burst out from the side.
His claws slashed at the surface of the bubble, causing it to only slightly indent, feeling as if he had slashed at a sponge.
Next, Vincent was directly bounced away 360 degrees.
Chen Mo raised his white cloak, covering his body, and turned invisible on the spot.
Vincent held his head, stood up dizzily, and twitched his nose, searching for the scent of lavender.
"Found you!"
Vincent's pupils bloomed with light, and he rapidly lunged to the left.
A clear feedback of impact came from his fingertips; he felt he had successfully pierced through Chen Mo's head.
However, when his claws sliced through the air and embedded into the wall, the thing he had hit dispelled its invisibility, revealing its true appearance.
"What? A balloon person?!"
The balloon person Vincent had pierced wasn't in Chen Mo's image, but rather Vincent's own image.
It was a chibi Vincent, making faces and sticking its tongue out at him.
Blue veins throbbed on Vincent's forehead, and he crushed the balloon person of himself.
He roared loudly into the empty living room.
"Kid, are you ever going to stop? Is there any point in constantly playing these little tricks?"
"As for your body, it's about to turn back into stone soon, right? Hmph."
A purple lightning bolt shot out, instantly shattering Vincent's magic shell.
It was as easy as breaking a glass cup.
Blue mist kicked up the dust on the floor, sliding over Vincent's knees, forcing Vincent to kneel to speak with him.
Starting from his feet, cold air wrapped upward, frost began to condense over his entire body, and he gradually turned into an ice sculpture.
Chen Mo was hanging upside down on the ceiling, arms crossed, sighing helplessly.
"I could kill you instantly, but... my current power is like a trial card; once it expires, it's gone."
"So, I want to play a little longer."
Cracks appeared on the surface of the werewolf ice sculpture.
He used the bone-scraping knife to chisel out a small hole, reached out to grab the edge, and squeezed hard.
The ice sculpture shattered instantly, and Vincent rolled out from inside.
"Kid, stop bluffing. If you have the guts, kill me. Anyway, this is your body; do you dare?"
Vincent revealed a triumphant smile, as if the outcome of everything was entirely up to him.
Chen Mo waved the fallen angel, shooting out fireballs, lightning, water jets, vines, and a large flock of pigeons.
Vincent, having reverted to Chen Mo's image, dodged everywhere, looking completely disheveled.
"Anyway, if my body is ruined, your soul will have no home either. Mr. Vincent, our current situations are the same."
Chen Mo's magic power seemed inexhaustible, which proved that his MP bar might have already reached over 5000.
Mages consume a lot of MP; even at level 20, he wouldn't dare to consume magic so casually.
"This is level 30 power. Impossible! You are a level 9 player, why!"
"The rules set by Amy Seeger: while you were playing me, he also played you."
"When you used the coin, the hidden rules concealed within the coin were triggered, which contained the magic power injected by the Mother Goddess of Light."
"You NPCs cannot control this power, but I can!"
Hearing Chen Mo say that he was an NPC working for the game—that is, something similar to a fake artificial intelligence—Vincent felt incomparable rage.
"I am not an NPC! I was once a human, and I still am! Just use your body!"
With a roar, Vincent raised the fallen angel, aiming at Chen Mo's heart.
Twisted black lightning gathered at the tip of the wand, forming a black electric orb, which he shot toward Chen Mo.
"Heh, alright then, I'll leave you in the dust. The trial card only has 30 seconds left."
"I don't want to play anymore!"
With a roar, Chen Mo leaped down from the air, also waving the fallen angel.
White light condensed at the tip of the wand, and the negative emotions of all the town's residents detached from their minds, converging onto Chen Mo alone.
[fallen angel energy charge: 100%]
A powerful beam of light shot out suddenly.
It was like a brilliant galaxy pouring down onto the world.
The collision between darkness and light was initially evenly matched.
But at this moment, the light was incomparably powerful, directly shattering the darkness completely.
The white light completely swallowed the black lightning, transforming into a pure white dove that pierced through Vincent's body!
Chen Mo stepped onto the steel wire, reaching Vincent in a few steps.
Vincent's body tilted backward, his face full of astonishment.
Chen Mo's palm reached into the top of Vincent's head, grabbing that soul which was hiding in a dark corner, shivering.
"Get out of there, Vincent!"
Chen Mo's arm gave a forceful jerk, grabbing Vincent's soul from head to toe and dragging it out of his own body.
