101: Chapter 101 Everyone in Dorm 404 has a rebellious streak.

It was ten o'clock at night. Dorm 404 was buzzing with conversation.

Qi Hui, the hero from Yanzhao, was being called "Little Hui" over and over, feeling incredibly frustrated inside.

Just then, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in."

"Hello, juniors."

Several male students wearing name tags walked in first. After a quick glance to make sure there was nothing inappropriate for children to see, they called out to the outside, "Teacher Chen, you can come in now."

Then, the crisp sound of high heels clicking against the floor rang out. A young woman wearing gold-rimmed glasses walked in. She swept her gaze across the room and introduced herself, "Hello everyone, I am your Counselor, Chen Ruobing. I came here today with the Student Union to check on everyone and get to know you."

The three of them, including Qi Hui, were stunned into silence. Shen Weiyue looked over at the sound of her voice, and his eyes lit up as well.

What a charming woman, truly charming! Oh, wait, not just charming—she was perfectly alluring.

The Counselor looked very young, likely under thirty. She wore a beige V-neck long-sleeved blouse tucked into a black, back-slit pencil skirt that reached her knees.

This was a common outfit in the workplace, though usually seen in private companies.

For Counselor Chen Ruobing to dress like this at a university, combined with her dizzyingly curvaceous figure and those glasses, she radiated the aura of a mature, sophisticated older sister.

However, in terms of overall temperament, she still couldn't compare to Liang Yuting. So, while his eyes lit up, it was just a momentary appreciation; it wouldn't turn him into a lovesick fool.

Seeing the three idiots all staring blankly, Shen Weiyue cleared his throat to remind them, then greeted her naturally, "Hello, Teacher Chen."

"Hello, Teacher Chen." The three idiots came to their senses and greeted her one after another.

Counselor Chen Ruobing glanced at Shen Weiyue, whose eyes were clear, and nodded, "Hello. Since everyone is here, get to sleep early. We'll have a small class meeting tomorrow morning to discuss the military training schedule. I will send a text message with the time and location."

"Understood, Teacher Chen."

"Xiao Peng, why don't you and the Department of Living explain the living regulations to the juniors? I'll wait outside."

Counselor Chen Ruobing didn't like staying in the men's dormitory for long, so once her goal was achieved, she went to wait in the hallway.

As soon as she left, those seniors with name tags started acting arrogant. Among them was the bastard who had pushed the bedding on them—that was Xiao Peng.

"We are from the Student Union's Department of Living. According to the college's arrangements, we are here to remind you of some regulations: freshmen are not allowed to bring computers during their first year, high-power electrical appliances are prohibited at all times, and smoking, drinking, and gambling are strictly forbidden…"

After reciting a long list of rules, Shen Weiyue frowned deeply.

Qi Hui and the other two were already seething with anger over the bedding incident. Seeing that bastard senior who scammed them acting so high and mighty, their fists clenched involuntarily.

The room was silent; none of the four spoke.

The members of the Student Union frowned. They didn't receive the respect they expected and felt that the freshmen in this room were more troublesome than the previous ones; everyone seemed to be in a bad mood, making them difficult to deal with.

But it was understandable; who hadn't been through this stage? Freshmen who got into prestigious universities had all been the pride of their high schools, so it was normal for them to have some arrogance.

However, what was with the cold glares directed at the seniors? Those eyes even held disdain and contempt—this was very disrespectful to them.

An unknown senior frowned and asked, "Is there something you don't understand? Why is everyone so quiet?"

Qi Hui rolled his eyes and asked, clearly annoyed, "I can understand the rest, but what's the deal with banning us from going shirtless or sleeping naked in our own dorm? Is this a school regulation?"

The senior replied, "No, this is a regulation from the Student Union's Department of Living, intended to avoid harassing the female students."

Qi Hui asked again, "This is a men's dormitory. Where would there be any female students?"

The senior argued confidently, "Counselor Chen Ruobing is a woman, and the dormitory building across from you is the women's dormitory. Being shirtless might harass them."

Qi Hui looked completely bewildered. Shen Weiyue was also stunned by this explanation.

Wasn't it said that only third-rate schools made such bizarre rules? How could Jiang University, a prestigious, well-established institution, be this ridiculous? Oh, wait. This wasn't a school regulation; this was the Student Union acting like fawning sycophants on their own initiative!

This was absolutely intolerable. Shen Weiyue looked coldly at the senior, "We are in our own dormitory. Forget about being naked; even if we were fencing, it's none of anyone else's business. You're overstepping your bounds."

"Exactly. Even if we don't count the summer, the temperature in Hangzhou often reaches thirty-eight or thirty-nine degrees in September. There's no air conditioning or fans in the dorm, and you won't even let us go shirtless or sleep naked—are you trying to bake us to death?" Xie Dongming chimed in.

The seniors exchanged glances, feeling a major headache coming on. Except for the guy with the center-parted hair, everyone in this dorm was a rebel; they all had a rebellious streak.

Just then, Xiao Peng's eyes lit up. He jumped forward, pointed at the deck of cards on Zhang Chengbin's desk, and shouted, "This student, playing cards are also prohibited items. Gambling is forbidden, and we are confiscating these."

With that, he actually went over to grab the cards. Zhang Chengbin was taken aback and quickly explained, "Those are for my magic tricks, not for gambling."

Xiao Peng didn't believe him and insisted on taking them. At that, Zhang Chengbin got angry too. Now it was complete—a room full of rebels, all of them troublemakers.

Outside the door, Counselor Chen Ruobing heard the voices inside and subconsciously felt that the people in Dorm 404 made sense.

This year's Student Union had overstepped their bounds. The rules set by the Department of Living were too heavy-handed, and she didn't know why the Student Affairs Office allowed them. Perhaps it was for the convenience of management, but since the leaders of the Student Affairs Office hadn't said anything, it wasn't her place to criticize.

The atmosphere in the dorm was already tense and ready to explode.

Just as Counselor Chen Ruobing was preparing to go in and take control of the situation, she heard a voice say coldly, "You can't bring this, you can't bring that—why don't you just not bring your dicks either? Those could also be tools used to commit crimes against women!"

Ugh, how vulgar. Counselor Chen Ruobing stopped pushing the door open and peeked through the crack. The person speaking was actually the young man sitting by the window who looked so refined and gentle.

As soon as Shen Weiyue finished speaking, the three idiots burst into laughter, and the room was filled with a cheerful atmosphere.

The Student Union members were rendered speechless by his retort, and they secretly noted down all four people in Dorm 404, determined to make them pay later.

Seeing their expressions, Shen Weiyue knew what they were thinking. He sneered and said in a deep voice, "Jiang University is a sacred place for academics, not a place for playing office politics. I advise you not to use the Student Union to throw your weight around."

"With the airs of authority you're putting on today, someone who didn't know better might think a bureau chief, a college leader, or even the President of the country was here for an inspection. Fooling others is one thing, but don't get so carried away with your act that you end up fooling yourselves."

The seniors' faces looked as ugly as if they had swallowed flies. Xiao Peng, with a dark face, was about to speak, but Shen Weiyue stared right at him, "Senior, that bedding you sold us has no manufacturing information. Manufacturing and selling counterfeit or substandard products is against the law!"

"I didn't sell fakes…"

"Then do you want me to report this to the Administration for Industry and Commerce to have it verified?"

Xiao Peng's expression changed drastically, and he hurriedly exchanged glances with the others. Selling bedding to freshmen wasn't a business he ran alone; everyone in the Department of Living was involved, and he was just the one standing at the front. The profit margins on these bedding sets were so high, and they really lacked manufacturing information—they couldn't stand up to an investigation.

Sweat poured down Xiao Peng's back, and he said with a forced laugh, "Classmate, let's talk this over. There's no need to burn bridges."

"Heh, and the playing cards…"

"It's fine, they're for practicing magic tricks. No need to confiscate them."

"And sleeping naked?"

"That's a matter of personal freedom."

"Alright then. We're going to sleep, so you can leave now. And close the door on your way out."

Without another word, Xiao Peng led his people out of the dorm and closed the door behind him. The room was finally completely quiet.
