77: Chapter 77 The Life of Master Shen
"Young girls really can't handle being teased."
Within just over ten minutes, Zhao Qingyan and Ning Xi had both been teased offline by Shen Weiyue. With no one left to chat with, he logged off and headed over to the twins to work on the online store.
The moment he pushed open the door, he couldn't tell which one was the older sister and which was the younger sister.
The sisters were wearing identical pajamas, jumping around in excitement like four happy, plump, white rabbits.
"Brother Shen, Brother Shen, someone placed an order in our store! Come and take a look!"
Feng Jiayue rushed over, grabbed Brother Shen's arm, and pulled him toward the computer. The soft, bouncy sensation made him cough a couple of times as a subtle reminder.
There was another girl right there, so he thought, *Don't be so intimate, hey.*
Feng Jiaxin was also very excited and didn't think about that at all; she even ran over and grabbed his other arm.
The scene was like a Great General out on an inspection tour, surrounded and adored like the stars around the moon.
"Brother Shen, look, there are already nine orders now."
Feng Jiayue pointed at the computer; five orders were for batteries, two for data cables, and two for universal chargers.
The profit margin on batteries was the highest, nearly 100%. Even after deducting costs like shipping, labor, and rent, it still worked out to nearly 60%.
This could be considered a pretty good start.
"A flying start, not bad. I'm feeling more and more confident now," Shen Weiyue said, nodding in satisfaction.
"Then when should we go ship the goods?" Feng Jiayue asked eagerly.
"Let's set a fixed time for shipping every day, like three or five in the afternoon. We'll ship them all at once. Besides, we're right next to the electronics market, so there's no inventory pressure."
Shen Weiyue thought for a moment, then said to the sisters, "Once we're on the right track and orders increase, we can establish long-term partnerships with the sellers in the electronics market and courier companies to get better prices."
Feng Jiayue nodded repeatedly, feeling that this man really knew so much.
Feng Jiaxin asked proactively, "Brother Shen, I want to learn more about computers. Can you teach me?"
"What do you want to learn?" Shen Weiyue asked with a smile.
"Learn that software you made, and learn all sorts of useful knowledge."
"In that case, I'll buy you some books for absolute beginners. If you're truly interested, once we've earned some money, you can even enroll in training courses to learn graphic design and things like that."
As he spoke, Shen Weiyue remembered something else: "Your sister said your grades are good. Have you ever thought about going back to school to take the college entrance exams?"
"I..." Feng Jiaxin looked at her sister hesitantly and shook her head, saying, "Not to mention that we don't have the money for tuition, if I go back to school, what will happen to my sister? I can't leave her here all by herself."
While the two were talking, Feng Jiayue had already become excited; she had somewhat picked up on the hidden meaning in Shen Weiyue's words.
"Younger sister! If there's an opportunity, I want you to continue your studies."
"Older sister..."
"Listen to me first. I was never naturally fond of studying, but you're different. Your grades are good, and you have a chance to get into college. You can take a different path than me and be successful, just like Brother Shen."
"Mom and Dad won't let me continue studying, and there's no money at home."
Feng Jiaxin lowered her head in frustration. If there had been any possibility at all, her family wouldn't have let her drop out in her second year of high school.
Feng Jiayue had a stronger personality. Hearing her sister's words and remembering what Shen Weiyue had said about the economic base determining the superstructure, she spoke fiercely:
"As long as I can earn money, I'll have a say at home. When that happens, I'll support your studies. I'll pay Mom and Dad on time every month, and if they dare to stop you from studying, I'll cut off the funds!"
"Huh?"
"When I was little, they favored boys over girls and could control me, but now that I'm earning my own money, I can't continue to be a pushover."
Shen Weiyue liked Feng Jiayue's personality. He admired anyone who dared to resist injustice.
"Jiayue is right. Happiness is something you have to fight for yourselves. Keep working hard, and once you earn money, you can achieve your dreams."
Feng Jiaxin's eyes finally began to sparkle, and her heart stirred with excitement.
Near noon, Shen Weiyue suggested going out to eat, but the sisters both shook their heads and said they would cook themselves to save money.
So Boss Shen watched the shop alone while the sisters went to the kitchen to tinker.
Not long after, he smelled the aroma of food; it seemed their cooking skills were quite good.
During the meal, the sisters busied themselves, one serving rice and the other putting food in his bowl. Shen Weiyue felt a moment of trance, as if he had returned to the Director Shen era, receiving flattery at a banquet table.
He even had the illusion of being a great master in ancient times, enjoying the service of two beautiful wives and concubines.
Damn it, capitalism really does have its merits!
After the meal, Master Shen lay on the sisters' bed for a nap. The younger sister went to wash the dishes, while the older sister helped massage his head. This life was incredibly decadent.
"Jiayue, I'll take you to purchase supplies and ship goods in a while. Learn carefully."
"Alright, Brother Shen. Besides the online store, are there any other ways to make money? I want to send my sister back to take the college entrance exams."
"If you do this online store well, it will make more money than anything else you could do."
Shen Weiyue felt the softness and fragrance on his forehead and closed his eyes comfortably. "I know your little intentions. Let's wait and see after some time. I will help you where I can."
"Besides, I can't stay here forever. After I go to university, this place will have to depend on you. When things get busy, you won't have time to do other things anyway."
"Actually, it's good to let Jiaxin be tempered appropriately. She can't rely on your protection for her whole life. Her personality needs to be tougher, otherwise, she'll just be controlled by your parents again when she goes back."
Shen Weiyue analyzed calmly, and Feng Jiayue's momentary impulse subsided.
She thought about it and realized he was right. If she weren't at home, her sister was so timid right now, there was no telling how much she might be bullied—she might even be sold off to some old bachelor.
Waiting a year or so to go back wouldn't be a big deal; earning more money would give her more confidence.
Once the plan was set, she felt relieved.
Before leaving her hometown, Feng Jiayue had never made any long-term plans for her or her sister's future. If it was working in a factory, she worked in a factory; if it was odd jobs, she did odd jobs. She couldn't think of any other path.
But the appearance of Shen Weiyue was like a guiding light in the fog, instantly illuminating the way forward. All of this had happened in just ten days or half a month; it felt like a dream.
Feng Jiayue looked down at this young man, admiring and liking him from the bottom of her heart. She felt he was shrouded in mystery and could give her infinite security.
The more she looked, the more infatuated she became. Her gaze slowly became intense and languid, and she actually leaned down and kissed him.
Shen Weiyue frowned and whispered, "Jiaxin is still here!"
"Brother Shen~ How do you know so much, and why are you so amazing..."
Her voice was soft and coquettish. Shen Weiyue opened his eyes and saw that her face was flushed with shyness, unable to restrain herself.
"There's even more amazing stuff. Do you want to see it?"
"Yes~"
"Damn it, I can't wait."
Shen Weiyue rolled over and got up, pulling Feng Jiayue as he walked out, shouting without looking back, "Jiaxin, your sister and I are going out to ship the goods. You watch the place at home."
"Alright, Brother Shen." Feng Jiaxin's little face was also flushed red; she didn't even need to guess to know what they were going out to do.
After all, she could empathize with some of Feng Jiayue's emotions; that was really the only downside of being twins.
She was actually starting to envy her sister.
