104: Thunder Knight Arrives

The loud bang from the direction of the East City Gate made Zhui Yun and the others' hearts pound, and they instinctively looked in that direction.

The once sturdy East City Gate had vanished, replaced by a huge gap.

Looking out past where the gate used to be, the swirling dust outside the city was vaguely visible.

Immediately after, on the distant horizon,

a curtain of dust, a massive cloud, was sweeping towards Panshi City with the force of a thunderbolt!

Within the dust curtain, the sound of thousands of horses galloping faintly echoed.

"That's... our army!" Zhui Yun exclaimed, his voice filled with surprise.

Lin Ye and the others beside him were even more dumbfounded, momentarily forgetting the surrounding danger.

The defending army within Panshi City was in chaos.

The original encirclement had suddenly turned into a city defense battle, throwing the entire defense system into disarray.

"Change direction! Quick!"

The Commander on the city wall roared hoarsely, "All trebuchets, aim at the East City Gate!"

The soldiers frantically pushed the cumbersome war machines, metal and stone grinding with an ear-splitting screech.

The deadly weapons originally aimed at Zhui Yun and his group were now being frantically re-aimed.

"Third and Fifth Legions, immediately reinforce the East City Gate!"

Another general waved his battle saber, his face ashen, "The rest continue to encircle the enemies within the city!"

Teams of heavily armored infantry began to urgently gather towards the East City Gate, the sound of their iron boots on the ground like dense raindrops, shaking the entire urban area.

However,

"No! Up there!"

A sharp-eyed Panshi City soldier pointed at the sky, letting out a terrified shriek.

Everyone instinctively looked up, only to see a dark cloud had appeared in the sky at some unknown time.

Immediately after, hundreds of agile figures, flashing with lightning, like legendary Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, tore through the clouds and swooped down!

The warhorses they rode were no ordinary beasts.

Their four hooves trod on air as if on solid ground, electricity coursing around them, leaving trails of lightning patterns in the void wherever they passed.

The dragon horses' foreheads were wreathed in blue-purple lightning, their manes flowing like clouds at the center of a storm.

They were none other than the Azure Thunder Dragon Riders!

The one leading them,

clad in silver-white armor, held a gleaming silver spear, its tip constantly spitting lightning.

It was Huo Jun, one of Infinite City's Commanders, the "Galloping Heavenly Blade"!

Huo Jun raised his arm high, his dragon horse neighed, and his silver armor shone brightly under the lightning.

His voice echoed throughout Panshi City.

"Thunder-Piercing Javelin!"

In an instant,

the lightning on the hundreds of Azure Thunder Dragon Riders behind him surged, and the power of lightning condensed in their palms, transforming into gleaming lightning spears.

All at once, the lightning spears rained down like a sudden shower of stars, tearing through the sky.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh—!"

"Pfft!" "Pfft!"

"Ah—!"

"Boom—!"

Screams and explosions erupted one after another.

In just a few breaths, the enemy forces besieging Zhui Yun's group were utterly wiped out.

Only scorched earth, scattered armor fragments, and unburnt severed limbs remained, the air filled with the smell of burning and electricity.

"Huo Jun! This is great!"

Zhui Yun looked at the figure descending from the sky, feeling a great sense of relief.

Zhui Yun's tense mind finally relaxed.

Huo Jun's arrival meant they were completely safe, because Infinite City's army had also arrived.

Huo Jun nodded slightly at Zhui Yun, scanned the battlefield, and said in a deep voice,

"Lord Commander has ordered me to lead the vanguard cavalry, to break through the enemy lines and rendezvous with you!"

He paused, then added, "Stone Rock's main force will arrive shortly."

Before his words finished, a familiar, slightly teasing voice sounded behind everyone.

"Yo, it seems no matter how fast I rushed, I was still a step slower than you guys on horseback."

Everyone turned around, only to see Su Jin had appeared behind them at some point, a gentle smile on his face.

His figure was tall and straight, his aura as steady as a mountain, as if he were strolling leisurely, completely devoid of the tension of an impending major battle.

Even more surprising was that he was carrying a person by his left hand.

That person wore a distinctive white hood, but it was now a bit askew, and their white robe was stained with some dust. They were being held by the back of their collar by Su Jin, their feet off the ground, with a look of utter despair on their face.

"Lord Commander!" Zhui Yun exclaimed, both surprised and delighted.

Su Jin nodded and set the Spirit Healing Physician Commander he was holding down on the ground.

The latter stumbled, almost falling, and gave Su Jin a resentful look.

"Ahem, I was rushing on the way, and he was too slow."

Su Jin explained without changing his expression, then said to the Healer Commander, "Zi An, check on Shadow One; he's badly injured."

Looking at Shadow One, who was protected in the middle by Zhui Yun and others,

the Healer Commander named Zi An dared not delay and quickly stepped forward, a soft holy light glowing on his fingertips as he began to examine Shadow One's injuries.

"Lord Commander, how did you... fly me over like this?"

Zi An asked, unable to help but complain softly while casting Holy Light Healing.

His tone carried the relief of having survived a disaster, "I thought I was going to experience being a high-altitude falling object."

Su Jin glanced at him: "Otherwise? If I waited for you to run slowly, the day would be over. Next time, intensify your physical training."

"..."

Zi An's mouth twitched, the holy light flickered slightly, almost losing control.

He muttered in his heart: I'm clearly a support healer!

"And? You clearly didn't have to carry me."

Thinking of this, the holy light on his fingertips suddenly intensified, and Shadow One let out a muffled groan.

"Sorry, I used a little too much force."

In the distance, Panshi City's defenses had been broken, and Infinite City's army poured in like a tide.

The Azure Thunder Dragon Riders in the sky continuously swooped down, their lightning spears raining down, each strike bringing chaos.

The battlefield situation was rapidly turning.

"Lord Commander, as per your orders, Stone Rock has led the main force to break through from the west."

Huo Jun came to Su Jin's side and reported.

Su Jin nodded calmly, his gaze shifting to the sky, where Bai Xiao was locked in fierce combat with Shi Potian.

Two terrifying energies collided like two comets, shaking all of Panshi City.

"First, send the wounded back to a safe area."

Su Jin ordered, his gaze sweeping over everyone present, "Prepare to assist Bai Xiao. That 'heart of god'... is not simple."

Zi An's holy light gradually receded, and he wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"Shadow One is out of danger, but needs further treatment."

Just as he was about to stand up, Su Jin's meaningful gaze made him shiver.

"Lord Commander... You're not going to..."

Su Jin smiled slightly.

"Huo Jun, you go command the front line. Zi An, come with me; the medical team needs you."

Zi An's face turned ashen...

"Can I... walk?"
