123: Scarlet Lady's hunting time?

"Roar—!!!"

"Kill—!!!"

The earth-shattering cries of battle and the roars of monsters intertwined, instantly transforming the area into a meat grinder of blood and fire.

Countless grotesque monsters, brandishing claws and fangs, charged fearlessly at the Infinite City's defenses.

Some were as massive as small mountains, others as swift as specters, and some could spew corrosive venom and energy.

Facing such a fierce assault, the Infinite City's defenses seemed to be under immense pressure.

The shield soldiers in the front row, though still maintaining their Copper Wall Iron Wall state,

were visibly struggling as shockwaves and energy ripples constantly erupted on their shields, causing their line to shift slightly backward, as if it could be breached at any moment.

Behind them, the Halberd Warriors continuously swung their long halberds, slaying any stragglers who broke through the shield line.

But some fearless monsters always managed to reach them, forcing them into close-quarters combat.

For a time, the battle appeared somewhat 'stalemated'.

Su Jin stood on a high platform, observing the battle ahead, which had completely devolved into a 'stalemate'.

"My Lord, it seems the fish have taken the bait and are diligently swimming into the trap," Huo Jun said with a smile, his tone relaxed.

Su Jin smiled, but his attention was not on the 'excitement' before him.

Through the countless Sky-Peering Vine sub-bodies deployed around the camp, his vision had already locked onto a location tens of kilometers away.

A unit, currently moving towards the Infinite City's camp, was concealed by some kind of stealth device.

That unit numbered around five or six thousand, all clad in scarlet armor, riding bone-armored warhorses.

Moving silently, it was the Bloodline Knights, renowned for their surprise attacks, under Lilith, the 'Crimson Countess' of the Dark Star Empire.

At such a moment, acting in such a way clearly indicated malicious intent.

"Let them get a little closer," Su Jin said calmly. Regardless of the reason, since they had first shown hostility towards the Infinite City, a response was naturally in order.

Over the past few months, the Infinite City's conquests and accumulation in Woma World had already made his resources incredibly abundant, to an extent unimaginable by others.

All combat units, under the effect of his incredibly powerful Sublimation ability, had already advanced to the Silver rank, with a minimum of Rank Seven!

Even the original ten Bronze-ranked falcons had now transformed into Silver-ranked Sky-Dome Warhawks.

Not only had their reconnaissance range and accuracy greatly improved, but they also possessed formidable close-quarters combat capabilities.

An army with all Silver-ranked units, and a minimum of Rank 7 combat power – what terrifying strength was this?

Looking across the entire Woma World battlefield, even those six-level lords who had operated for many years,

their main forces were generally only Bronze-ranked, and having a few Silver-ranked units as elite trump cards was already an impressive foundation.

For Su Jin to use Silver-ranked units as standard troops was simply insane, enough to make anyone who knew the truth question reality.

At this moment, the soldiers 'fighting fiercely' on the battlefield were merely the Infinite City's warriors deliberately suppressing their strength, cooperating with their ordinary equipment, to put on a good show.

The true trump card must always be saved for the critical moment, to give the enemy the most 'surprising' 'welcome'.

...

The entire battlefield was like a pot of boiling porridge, chaotic and tragic.

In the distance, the "Sanctuary Stronghold" of Radiant City still emitted a sacred glow.

Its "Morning Star Punisher" ballistas and "Holy Light Guards" archers on the floating array continuously unleashed destructive light energy strikes, curbing the monster offensive on its front line.

In contrast, the Infinite City's defenses appeared much more 'unpretentious'...

At this moment, the Bloodline Knight unit led by 'Crimson Countess' Lilith had quietly approached to within five kilometers of the Infinite City's camp from the rear.

They lurked behind a low hill, like a pack of hungry wolves waiting to devour their prey, awaiting the optimal moment for a surprise attack.

Lilith wore a dark red cloak, its hood obscuring the upper half of her face, revealing only her delicate chin and a hint of crimson lips.

She toyed with a skull ornament that gleamed with an eerie red light, a cold and cruel smile playing on her lips.

"Heh, Infinite City... Su Jin... ranked ninth in points, how ridiculous. Does such a mere commodity deserve to be on par with us?"

Lilith looked towards the battlefield, observing the distant situation of the Infinite City, her voice tinged with disdain.

In her opinion, although the Infinite City's troops were brave, their unit levels and equipment were clearly inferior to those of the veteran factions. At this moment, they were clearly at the end of their rope.

As long as her Bloodline Knights launched a fatal blow from the flank, they could easily tear open the enemy's defenses and strike directly at their core.

"Give the order, prepare to attack." A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Lilith's eyes. "Let those lowly humans feel the despair from the Dark Star Empire!"

"Yes, Countess!" The knight beside her bowed in response.

Thousands of Bloodline Knights slowly drew the knight's longswords from their waists.

Their mounts, creatures resembling skeletal warhorses but with scarlet flames burning in their eye sockets, also began to paw restlessly, emitting low whinnies.

A suppressed and violent aura began to permeate behind the hill.

Meanwhile, at the rear of the Infinite City's front line.

"My Lord, those things that appeared on the Yong City front line... they've appeared again."

A Spirit Pivot Sword Envoy reported to Su Jin, "The numbers... are probably not small."

A playful smile slowly curved on Su Jin's lips.

"Finally... everyone's here?" he murmured to himself, his eyes deep, as if he had long seen through everything.

"Since all the guests have arrived, it's time for this play to reach its climax."

He slowly raised his right hand, and an order was transmitted.

The next moment, the entire battlefield seemed to fall silent.

"Buzz—"

A distant and profound hum, as if from beyond the nine heavens, yet also seemingly rising from the depths of the earth, instantly echoed across the entire Red Soil Plateau.

Immediately following, a brilliant and dazzling green light, with the center of the Infinite City's camp as its origin, suddenly erupted!

It spread outwards in all directions like a massive ripple, at an astonishing speed.

Wherever the light passed, even the bloody mist that had been creeping towards the camp receded.

Even more astonishing was that when this green light swept across the battlefield, all concealed, stealthy, and disguised units in the areas it covered were instantly revealed!

"What?!"

Lilith, who was about to order the charge, only felt a flash of green light before her eyes.

Then, an invisible barrier on them suddenly shattered, and their proudly maintained stealth status instantly failed!

At the same time, those invisible energy bodies lurking at the edge of the blood mist, attempting to infiltrate the Infinite City's lines,

also revealed blurry outlines after being swept by this strange green light, as if they had been splashed with a revealing potion!

"No! We've been exposed!"

Lilith's face drastically changed, and alarm bells rang in her heart.
