92: Blood is shed on the narrow passage, and the sword is pointed at the huge rock city!

Black Wind Canyon, true to its name.

Towering cliffs and jagged rocks lined both sides of the canyon.

Wild winds howled through the valley, kicking up sand and stones, creating a continuous, rustling crackle.

The wind, passing through the narrow mountain path, transformed into a mournful wail, as if countless tormented souls were weeping in this place.

Zhui Yun reined in his horse, raising a hand to signal a halt.

He narrowed his eyes, his gaze sweeping over the narrow canyon entrance ahead.

The wind was gushing out from that sole passage, carrying a strange scent mixed with blood and dust.

"Sir, our 'Ying' brothers have sent word. The people from Panshi City have already entered the 'One-Line Sky' ahead, about fifty or so. Their equipment suggests they are scouts."

A Riftwind Archer captain rode closer, reporting in a low voice.

Zhui Yun sneered, "Fifty-odd people dare to probe Infinite City? They've got some nerve."

He turned his head to look at the Spirit Pivot Sword Envoy squad beside him.

"You all will follow me and press forward from the front. Riftwind Archers, take the high ground on both sides, engage in free-fire, don't let them escape."

"Yes, sir!"

At this command, over a hundred Spirit Pivot Sword Envoys dismounted, their movements as light as civet cats.

Their toes barely touched the rugged mountain rocks.

Their figures transformed into streaks of white afterimages, stealthily and swiftly infiltrating the canyon, as if merging with the fierce winds of the gorge.

Meanwhile, two hundred Riftwind Archers quickly spread out.

Their movements were agile; using ropes and protrusions on the rock face, within a few leaps, they scaled the dozens of meters high steep cliffs like geckos.

Soon, black figures appeared on the high ground on both sides of the canyon.

Bows in hand, arrows on strings, the cold arrowheads gleamed with a predatory chill in the dim light, overlooking the narrow passage below.

Zhui Yun also dismounted.

He flexed his wrists, his knuckles emitting a series of crisp crackles.

He did not draw the longbow from his back; in his opinion, dealing with those scouts did not require his personal intervention.

His figure flickered, like a streak of green lightning, following closely behind the Spirit Pivot Sword Envoys, heading swiftly into the depths of One-Line Sky.

.......

Inside One-Line Sky, the scout team from Panshi City was advancing cautiously.

They wore earth-yellow leather armor and carried short crossbows and scimitars, appearing quite capable.

The captain, a burly man with a full beard, was vigilantly surveying his surroundings.

Suddenly, the sound of the wind ahead seemed different.

"Enemy attack!" The bearded captain's pupils contracted, and he bellowed sharply.

However, his warning came too late.

The foremost Spirit Pivot Sword Envoys had already rushed into the narrow passage, not even giving the enemy a chance to raise their crossbows.

White shadows flickered, and the longswords in the hands of several Sword Envoys had already been drawn, creating a flash of brilliant sword light.

"Pfft!"

"Ah!"

Screams instantly erupted.

The Spirit Pivot Sword Envoys' swordsmanship was swift and deadly; the Panshi City scouts had no time to react and were cut down like melons and vegetables.

Their leather armor was as fragile as paper before the spirit energy-infused blades.

"Soul Cry Slash!"

A Spirit Pivot Sword Envoy let out a low cry.

He swung his longsword, and a crescent-shaped spiritual energy shockwave roared out, instantly cleaving three scouts who attempted to resist in half at the waist.

On the cliffs on both sides, the Riftwind Archers also began their performance.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"

The sound of arrows piercing the air was incessant.

Each arrow was aimed at targets attempting to flee or counterattack.

"Hurricane Arrow!"

Several Riftwind Archers simultaneously activated their skills, and several arrows, wrapped in compressed cyclones, shot into the crowd.

The arrows struck the ground, exploding with a roar.

They formed several small suction vortices with a three-meter radius, pulling the surrounding scouts off balance and throwing their formation into disarray.

Zhui Yun leisurely entered One-Line Sky at this point, looking at the scene before him, and nodded in satisfaction.

These Panshi City scouts were roughly at the fifth-tier strength, but in front of the Spirit Pivot Sword Envoys and Riftwind Archers, they had almost no power to resist.

The battle started quickly and ended even faster.

In just about a quarter of an hour.

Over fifty Panshi City scouts were slaughtered, with only a handful deliberately left alive.

At this moment, they were being held by the Spirit Pivot Sword Envoys like chickens.

"Find out their origins and the specific situation of Panshi City," Zhui Yun commanded indifferently, walking up to a scout with a severed arm and a face full of terror.

The scout looked at Zhui Yun as if he had seen a devil, his body trembling like a sieve.

"You… who exactly are you…"

The scout's voice was hoarse, his eyes filled with intense fear.

Zhui Yun raised an eyebrow, "Right now, I ask, you answer."

He squatted down and patted the other's cheek.

"Tell me, why did your Panshi City send people to spy on us? Who gave you the courage?"

The scout still wanted to struggle.

A Spirit Pivot Sword Envoy's longsword was already pressed against his throat, the chilling edge of the blade making him instantly abandon resistance.

Soon, Zhui Yun obtained the information he wanted.

Panshi City was indeed a Legacy-grade city, located about five hundred li directly north of Infinite City.

Its City Lord was named Shi Potian, a peak tenth-tier expert skilled in earth-elemental spiritual energy.

The reason for sending out scouts this time was due to a special alert formation within the city, which detected traces generated by the 'Ying' team's activities nearby, thus noticing clues of 'outsiders.'

So, they wanted to ascertain the details and also use it as a form of probing.

"Probing?"

Zhui Yun sneered, "Since it's a probe, then there's a price to pay."

He stood up, his gaze directed northward.

"The Lord's order is to chop off every single one of their extended claws."

"Now that the claws are chopped off, it's time to go see the owner of those claws."

"Sir, are we going directly into the city?" a Spirit Pivot Sword Envoy asked.

Zhui Yun shook his head, "No rush. A Legacy-grade city won't be that simple. Shadow One should already have arrangements."

He paused, "We'll go ahead first, find a place to hide, and observe the situation."

"Pass down the order: clear the battlefield, bury the bodies, then advance at full speed towards Panshi City!"

"Yes, sir!"

Everyone set off again, galloping towards Panshi City.

After about two hours of travel, the terrain ahead gradually opened up.

In the distance, the outline of a majestic giant city appeared on the horizon.

Its city walls were entirely constructed from massive dark green and black rocks.

They were dozens of meters high, stretching as far as the eye could see, with patrolling soldiers and defensive structures shimmering with runic light vaguely visible on the battlements.

Even from afar, one could feel the heavy and oppressive aura emanating from the city.

"As expected of a Legacy-grade city," Zhui Yun murmured, his eyes growing sharper.

Just then, several blurred black figures emerged from the shadows by the roadside, silently approaching Zhui Yun's horse.
