184: Infinite City's Medic

At the distant edge of the world,

A vast, supreme will, commanding all phenomena, declared its existence.

That was Su Jin's “Heaven's Mandate.”

He had returned.

And, much faster than expected.

The Dark Star Monarch's battle intent slowly faded, replaced by a cold caution.

Dealing with a “Nirvana” who had unleashed his true name was already a stalemate.

If he had to add a “Heaven's Mandate” whom he had barely managed to contain…

This battle couldn't be fought.

The strategic objective had been partially achieved.

The Blue Star Alliance's deployment here had also been disrupted.

Remaining here to fight to the death with two transcendent beings was meaningless.

He glanced at the battlefield below.

Infinite City's army, like an efficient war machine, was systematically segmenting and devouring his legions.

If he continued fighting, even these elites would be lost here.

“This battle ends here.”

The Dark Star Monarch's voice echoed across the battlefield.

He took one last look at Bai Xiao, his gaze like he was examining an interesting collection.

“Nirvana, this Monarch has noted your name.”

As his voice fell, his figure transformed into a streak of light, soaring into the sky and disappearing into the horizon.

With his departure, the oppressive black-gold domain in the sky shattered with a roar.

A desolate horn sounded from the Dark Star Empire's formation.

The Dark Star soldiers, who had been attacking frantically, began to retreat in an orderly fashion, covering each other like a receding tide.

On the Youfeng Valley battlefield, cheers of victory soared into the sky.

In the high sky, that pale world gradually dissipated.

Bai Xiao's figure swayed.

He leaned on his sword, half-kneeling in the void, his face as white as paper, but his spine remained perfectly straight.

A soft light glowed beside him.

Apolosi had arrived by his side at some point, floating silently, not speaking, nor rashly reaching out to help him.

She was simply there, like a warm sun, dispelling the last trace of coldness remaining after “Nirvana.”

......

The ground battlefield was a mess.

Li Mo leaned against a broken piece of cover, panting heavily.

He had a deep, bone-visible wound on his arm, inflicted by the claws of a Dark Star vassal soldier just now.

He wanted to tear off his clothes for a simple bandage, but found he barely had the strength to lift his other hand.

Just then, a figure in a white robe knelt before him.

It was a woman with a beautiful face and a sacred aura.

On her chest, she wore a unique Infinite City emblem.

She was a Spirit Healing Physician.

Before Li Mo could speak, the healer extended her right hand.

A soft white light emanated from her palm, gently covering his wound.

A warm sensation spread, and the intense pain in his arm quickly receded.

He watched with wide eyes as the hideous wound healed at a visible rate under the white light, leaving no scar behind.

“There, warrior, is there anything else bothering you?”

The healer's voice was gentle.

Li Mo opened his mouth, his throat feeling blocked, unable to squeeze out a word for a long time.

He looked down at his perfectly intact arm, then at the healer with the sacred aura before him.

His mind was a bit muddled.

“Um…”

He finally found his voice, but asked a question that even he thought was foolish.

“I… I shouldn't have any internal injuries, right?”

The healer's eyes curved into beautiful crescents.

Without answering, she simply extended a finger and lightly tapped his chest.

Another warm current surged in, instantly sweeping through his limbs and bones.

Li Mo felt that the fatigue and soreness accumulated from days of continuous battle were swept away.

He felt as if he had taken a hot bath, comfortable from the inside out.

He stood up.

He jumped in place, feeling better than ever before.

“This… this is…”

Li Mo was completely at a loss for words.

Seeing that the healer had already risen, preparing to move to the next injured soldier.

He hurriedly added,

“Um, Miss Healer! Thank you very much!”

The Spirit Healing Physician turned back, her eyes holding a hint of mischievous amusement.

“You’re welcome.”

He stood rooted, looking around.

Only then did he realize that such white-robed figures were spread across the entire battlefield.

Not far away, an Alliance soldier, whose legs had been crushed by an Obsidian Destroyer and was on the verge of death,

was being rescued by another Spirit Healing Physician.

The healer chanted profound incantations.

A brilliant pillar of light descended from the sky, enveloping the dying soldier.

As the light dissipated,

The soldier not only fully recovered from his injuries but even sprang up from the ground full of vigor, picked up his weapon, his eyes filled with disbelief.

“The Soul Revival Secret Art… I’ve heard old-timers in the army talk about it, it’s a divine skill that can pull people back from the gates of hell.”

A knowledgeable soldier exclaimed.

What made Li Mo even more incredulous was that these Spirit Healing Physicians were not merely performing one-on-one treatments.

Each of them radiated an invisible aura of life.

All friendly forces within the aura's range were continuously recovering from fatigue and minor injuries.

Three thousand Golden Order healing units, mastering the “Soul Revival Secret Art,” appeared on the battlefield in organized formations, just like ordinary field nurses.

Li Mo looked at this scene, feeling his worldview intensely challenged.

He recalled the invincible cavalry.

He recalled the impenetrable shield formation.

He recalled the swordsmen who, with their Golden bodies, directly confronted Legends.

“Infinite City…”

He muttered to himself, this name in his heart had become completely synonymous with “miracle.”

Youfeng Valley, temporary command center.

General Wei, Lord Qin, and several other Legendary powerhouses were gathered here.

On the sand table,

The light dots representing friend and foe were rapidly changing, showing the Dark Star army's retreat route.

“Damn it, we finally beat these bastards back.”

General Wei plopped down on a chair, grabbed a water bottle, and took several big gulps.

“However, our losses aren't small either.”

Lord Qin looked at the extinguished light dots representing his own troops on the sand table, his expression grave.

“If not for Infinite City's soldiers, Youfeng Valley might truly have changed hands today. That army under his command… I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“Indeed.”

Another Legendary who came to support added.

“Golden Order soldiers, able to hold down a Legendary, can you believe it?”

Everyone fell silent.

The combat power displayed by Infinite City had exceeded their understanding of a Lord.

“The Dark Star Empire really went all out this time.”

General Wei's finger traced across the sand table.

“A Sixteenth Order Monarch, six ordinary Legends. This scale of force is definitely not just for a small Youfeng Valley.”

No sooner had he spoken than ripples appeared in the space beside him, and Su Jin's figure emerged from it.

The imperial robe woven from starlight and shadows on him had faded, and he had returned to his usual attire.

“General Wei.” Su Jin nodded.

“Good lad, you're finally back!”

General Wei, seeing it was him, immediately stood up, walked over, and clapped him hard on the shoulder, laughing heartily.

“If you, lad, had been half a step later, this old bone of mine would truly have been left here!”

“General Wei is joking.”

Su Jin's gaze swept over the Legends present.

“With all you seniors here, Youfeng Valley is as solid as a fortress.”

Just then, a communications soldier rushed in.

“Report, General! Southern Border War Zone Headquarters, highest-level communication.”

The command center instantly fell silent, all eyes focused on the communications soldier.

General Wei's smile faded, and he said in a deep voice, “Read it.”

The communications soldier swallowed, his voice trembling as he read the message on the light screen:

“To all units in the Southern Border: Windbreak Corridor… has lost contact.”
