22: The sword servant draws his sword, targeting the wolf rider!

Gelu’s massive body crashed to the ground with a thunderous roar, kicking up dust that billowed outwards, and the battlefield instantly fell into an eerie silence.

All the Goblins engaged in battle, whether ordinary green-skinned grunts or those Big Goblins who considered themselves elites, subconsciously halted their movements, looking in disbelief at the figure lying in a pool of blood, and at the figure slowly sheathing his sword, still wreathed in the burning cyan-blue spiritual pressure and flowing flames, standing like a demon god.

Their backbone, the Commander of Greystone Keep, just… died?

He died so easily, so abruptly, without even managing to exchange a single move with that human?

“Com… Commander Gelu…” a Big Goblin nearby stammered, trying to confirm this cruel reality.

His response was Bai Xiao’s cold, indifferent gaze, and the long sword, wreathed in scorching flowing flames, that swung out again.

“Pfft!”

That Big Goblin’s head flew into the air, his astonished expression frozen forever.

This act, like a lit fuse on a powder keg, completely ignited the pent-up fear within the Goblin lines!

“The Commander is dead!”

“Run!”

“We can’t win! They’re devils!”

Panic spread like a plague, and the Goblin lines, already suppressed by the Infinite City army, instantly crumbled!

The leaderless Big Goblins also fell into chaos; although some still tried to resist stubbornly with brute force, more were seized by fear and began to flee, even fighting among themselves to secure an escape route.

“Kill!” Stone Rock roared, pushing the shield wall forward with force, and the Heavy Shield Guards, like bulldozers, crushed through the chaotic enemy ranks, carving out a bloody path for their comrades behind them.

“For Infinite City!” Mu Yang commanded the Halberd Warriors, forming a sharp offensive wedge, their halberds flashing, precisely harvesting the lives of the fleeing Goblins. Huo Jun followed closely, his halberd techniques ruthless and merciless.

“Fire arrows! Covering fire!” Zhui Yun seized the opportunity, the sound of bowstrings becoming a continuous roar, and a dense rain of arrows pursued the fleeing Goblins, pinning them to the ground.

The tide of the main battlefield had completely turned in favor of Infinite City.

The Goblins were in disarray, being segmented, surrounded, and annihilated, and this land on the edge of Sunset Plain was thoroughly stained with green blood.

Bai Xiao did not pursue the fleeing soldiers; with Gelu slain, and the enemy’s command core and morale shattered, his mission was complete.

He merely stood coldly in place, his cyan-blue battle armor and pale aura still exuding a chilling pressure, like a stabilizing force, intimidating all remaining enemies, while also greatly boosting his own side’s morale.

He slightly tilted his head, scanning the entire field, confirming that the battlefield situation was settled, before unhurriedly beginning to clear out the scattered Goblins attempting to counterattack around him, his movements clean and decisive; whenever sword light flickered, it marked the end of a life.

That composure seemed to belong to a different world from the surrounding noisy and cruel battlefield.

On the high platform, Su Jin looked at the one-sided battle below, yet his face showed little joy.

His gaze was sharp as he looked at the Spirit Pivot Sword Servant who had just come to report.

“Three kilometers west, one hundred Wolf Cavalry?” Su Jin confirmed.

“Yes, Lord, the last message from the falcon confirmed it; the Wolf Cavalry are approaching our position at high speed,” the Sword Servant replied with a steady voice, bowing.

One hundred Wolf Cavalry!

Su Jin’s brow furrowed slightly. Wolf Cavalry were known for their speed and impact force, and Goblins capable of taming Direwolves were certainly not ordinary grunts.

Although there were only one hundred of them, the main Goblin force on the battlefield had just collapsed, and his own troops were in the stage of pursuing and segmenting the enemy, making their formation inevitably somewhat scattered.

If this fresh force were to charge into the battlefield now, it would not only cause direct casualties to his side but also disrupt the pursuit rhythm.

What was more troublesome was that those Goblins, already terrified and only concerned with escaping, might rekindle a glimmer of hope due to the appearance of these reinforcements, and even a momentary hesitation and confusion could allow the routed soldiers to escape or even regroup to make a last stand.

They must not be allowed to interfere!

They must be intercepted before they reach the main battlefield!

Who should be sent?

Huo Jun’s wasteland riderss had just endured a bitter fight on the flank, suffering significant casualties and horse fatigue, so sending them to intercept the well-rested Wolf Cavalry would likely be insufficient. The main infantry and archers were too slow to catch up.

And Bai Xiao also needed to maintain the Ashen Extinction Ring to preserve their combat advantage.

Su Jin’s gaze finally fell on the fourteen Spirit Pivot Sword Servants standing silently like spears below the high platform, guarding him.

Their aura was composed, their spiritual power restrained; they were truly elites. Moreover, they were “freshly deployed” and full of stamina.

The best way to deal with cavalry might not be with cavalry, but with… stronger individual combat power, to directly decapitate them before they could gain momentum!

A bold idea formed in Su Jin’s mind.

“Pass on my order,” Su Jin’s voice was steady and powerful, echoing across the high platform, “Order Stone Rock, Mu Yang, and Zhui Yun to fully clear out the remaining enemies and clean up the battlefield! Huo Jun, gather the cavalry, be vigilant around the perimeter, and prevent routed soldiers from escaping or other enemies from appearing!”

“Bai Xiao…” Su Jin looked at the cyan-blue figure in the center of the battlefield. He pondered for a moment, then finally issued the command, “Stabilize the battle, clear out the remaining enemies.”

After confirming that the main forces on the battlefield had received and were executing the orders, Su Jin no longer hesitated.

He turned around, his gaze sweeping over the fourteen Spirit Pivot Sword Servants in front of him.

“Prepare for battle.”

Without any unnecessary words, the fourteen Spirit Pivot Sword Servants instantly understood their Lord’s intention.

Almost simultaneously, they slightly adjusted their stances, their previously restrained auras suddenly becoming sharp and pressing, and the light of battle flickered in their eyes.

“Target, the Wolf Cavalry to the west.” Su Jin drew the sword from his waist, a surge of heroic spirit rising in his heart.

He knew that he had awakened the [Lord’s Power], allowing him to use all of Bai Xiao’s abilities.

This was not simple imitation, but rather like a replication, directly synchronizing the hero’s power to himself.

Although he had mostly relied on the strength of his unit types, steadily and cautiously, deep down, he still had a faint expectation for this power that belonged to him.

“Depart!”

Su Jin was the first to leap down from the side of the high platform, leading the charge towards the west.

The fourteen Spirit Pivot Sword Servants followed closely behind, like fourteen cyan shadows, silently gliding down, quickly assembling behind Su Jin, their movements uniform and without a single superfluous sound.

The cold wind swept past their ears, and behind them were fourteen silent yet sharp gazes.

Ahead, at the end of the horizon, a faint plume of dust was gradually expanding, the trace left by the rapidly moving Wolf Cavalry.

An infantry interception against cavalry was about to begin!
