9: Falcon Goblin Camp
The battle didn't last long before the Goblins suffered heavy casualties and began to flee.
"Pursue them."
Su Jin had no intention of letting these Goblins go.
The soldiers chased relentlessly, killing them all along the way.
Eventually, the Goblin army was completely annihilated.
"Clean up the battlefield."
Su Jin commanded.
Watching the soldiers begin to collect scrap metal, Su Jin couldn't help but curl his lip. They truly were a bunch of paupers...
"However, the camp should have something useful, right?"
Su Jin looked at the camp, which seemed to have been established for quite some time, with a bit of anticipation. After all, no matter how poor, you can't impoverish your children; no matter how hard, you can't make yourself suffer. These Goblins had managed their camp for so long, there had to be some spoils, right?
"Lord, we found a cellar with several chests inside. Captain Bai Xiao asks if you'd like to take a look." While he was calculating, a soldier rushed over.
"Oh? A cellar? And chests?" Su Jin's eyes lit up. It seemed his luck was good today. "Let's go, take me to see!" Su Jin waved his hand, signaling the soldier to lead the way.
Soon, Su Jin arrived at the cellar the soldier had mentioned. At the entrance to the cellar, Bai Xiao was standing, holding his longsword, with three chests placed beside him.
"Open them and see!" Su Jin was eager to know what was inside the chests.
Bai Xiao acknowledged, then, with a few soldiers, pried open the locks on the chests.
With a "click," the chests were opened, and their contents were revealed to everyone.
Among the chests, one largely contained some gold coins, which were not very useful to Su Jin. He would see if there were any natives around; if so, he could exchange them for some resources. There were also a few soul crystals, which were valuable. One soul crystal could be exchanged for a thousand Soul Coins, and there were four, totaling four thousand.
The other two chests contained four cultivation techniques, one architectural blueprint, one recruitment card, and some miscellaneous resource cards.
"Cloud Piercing Arrow Technique": Elementary cultivation technique. After practicing, range increases by 20%, accuracy improves by 15%. Additional effect: Over-the-horizon sniping.
"Splitting Light Sword Shadow": Elementary cultivation technique. After practicing, attack speed increases by 25%. Upon reaching mastery, it can generate Sword Wind (additional 20% damage). Additional effect: High-speed combo.
"Thunderbolt Spear Art": Elementary cultivation technique. After practicing, mounted attack power increases by 30%, and charge damage can be accumulated. Additional effect: Sharpness.
"Raging Wave Battle Body": Elementary cultivation technique. After practicing, attack power increases by 15%, toughness increases by 10%. Additional effect: Berserk.
Frozen Arrow Tower Blueprint (one-time use): Can fire ice arrows to freeze enemies. Construction materials required: 10,000 iron ore, 10,000 wood.
Hunter Falcon Recruitment Card: Can recruit ten Hunter Falcons (Black Iron Upper Rank).
"Holy crap, did I also awaken the 'Wish Fulfillment' talent? Whatever I want, it appears! Now the soldiers' cultivation techniques are complete, only mine are missing. Indeed, Heaven still favors diligent children like me..." Su Jin looked at the items in the chests, barely suppressing a laugh.
He put away the items, then directly handed the cultivation techniques to Bai Xiao and the others for them to learn, so they could advance as soon as possible. After all, there was a significant difference in cultivation speed between having and not having cultivation techniques.
He picked up the Hunter Falcon Recruitment Card.
"Hunter Falcons, they seem to be a reconnaissance unit," Su Jin picked up the recruitment card, and with a thought, "Use."
A flash of light passed, and ten Black Iron Upper Rank Hunter Falcons appeared before everyone.
They were different from ordinary falcons, larger in size, with a wingspan of nearly two meters. Their feathers were a deep, inky black, gleaming with a metallic luster in the sunlight, and their eyes were sharp, as if they could pierce through anything.
"Hunter Falcon (Black Iron - Upper Rank)"
"Level: First Tier"
"Skill: Aerial Overlook (When activated, generates a 3000-meter radius three-dimensional perception net centered on itself, lasting 20 seconds, can mark hidden units and traps)"
"Description: A domesticated medium-sized raptor with razor-sharp wings and eyes that can pierce through clouds and night. Often cooperates with scout units, performing long-range reconnaissance, beacon deployment, or interfering with enemy flying units through high-altitude maneuverability. Can tear the throats of isolated lightly armored enemies but fears arrow volleys and magic barriers, requiring tactical cover from ground allies."
"Go, help me see if there are any other enemies nearby."
"Caw ~ Caw ~" The lead Hunter Falcon responded, then powerfully flapped its wings and soared into the sky. The other nine Hunter Falcons followed closely, like streaks of black lightning, cutting through the long sky.

At this moment, at the junction of the southern forest and a plain, a large-scale Goblin Camp stood on the plain.
Besides the Goblins patrolling everywhere, there were also many humans. They were dressed in rags, gaunt, and their eyes were filled with numbness and despair, like a flock of lambs awaiting slaughter.
These humans were driven by the Goblins, engaged in various strenuous physical labors.
The slightest mistake would bring the whip and curses of the Goblin overseers, and death was a constant possibility.
In the center of the settlement at this time, on a crude wooden platform, an unusually large Goblin sat grandly.
It wore a bone helmet, was draped in animal skins, and held a thick wooden club inlaid with a skull, exuding a fierce aura.
This Goblin was precisely the leader of this group of Goblins—You Bu, Chieftain.
"Idiots, all of you are useless! So few people, and you still let them escape!" The Goblin Chief roared, his voice like thunder.
Before him, several Goblin leaders knelt on the ground, trembling.
"Leader, those humans were too cunning, we..." A Goblin leader stammered an explanation.
"Cunning? No matter how cunning, can they be as cunning as us Goblins?" The Goblin Chief interrupted him, a hint of mockery flashing in his eyes, "I think you just want to slack off, don't you?"
"No, no..." The Goblin leaders quickly kowtowed.
"Hmph, I wouldn't expect you to dare!" The Goblin Chief snorted coldly, "I'll give you one more chance. Bring back those escaped humans. If even one is missing, I'll take your heads to fill the gap!"
"Yes, yes!" The Goblin leaders, as if granted a great pardon, scrambled out.
"A bunch of useless things. I should have captured more humans as slaves back then to avoid all this trouble now." The Goblin Chief mumbled, grabbing a bloody piece of meat nearby and chewing it loudly.
He ate and calculated at the same time.
"When they're brought back this time, I'll have to show them a thing or two, let them know what they can and cannot do!"
"Humans, as a lowly race, must have this understanding... The day of sacrifice to Heaven is coming soon." A fierce glint flashed in the Goblin Chief's eyes. "No, I must send them into the forest to capture more humans."
"It's best to capture more human children; they are most needed for the sacrifice to Heaven..." The Goblin Chief licked his lips, revealing a cruel smile.
At the camp entrance...
"Little ones, all of you, perk up! If you don't catch those escaped humans today, you'll be eaten by Chief!" A Goblin leader waved his whip, shouting hoarsely.
Hearing this, the human slaves involuntarily trembled, their eyes showing even deeper fear.
"Damn Goblins, they don't treat us like humans at all!" A young human slave clenched his fists, his fingernails digging deep into his palms.
"Shh, keep your voice down, do you want to die?" An older human slave next to him quickly stopped him.
"Are we just going to be enslaved by them forever?" The young slave gritted his teeth, asking unwillingly.
"What else? What can we do?" The older slave sighed, his eyes dim. "More than ten years ago, even the powerful Elf were defeated by the Goblins... Who else on the entire continent can be their opponent? And who... can save us...?"
"Yes, our future... is there still hope...?" The young slave closed his eyes in despair.
"There will always be hope..." The older slave murmured, his voice barely audible.
"Hurry up and work, dawdling, trying to slack off?" The Goblin overseer's whip cracked, interrupting their conversation.
The human slaves quickly lowered their heads and continued to labor, not daring to make another sound.
