128: Legendary Battle
"Light Wings: Radiant Flash!"
Light exploded behind her, and a pair of colossal wings, condensed from pure light energy, suddenly unfurled.
With a flap of her light wings, her figure left an afterimage in its wake, barely dodging most of the incoming stone thorns!
"Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle—!"
Several stone thorns that she couldn't completely avoid still grazed her arms and legs, drawing strings of golden blood beads.
The stinging pain and the shadow energy invading her body exacerbated her already weakened state.
"Hmph, your reaction isn't slow, at least."
Echidna's voice came from the void, tinged with a hint of regret.
Her figure coalesced not far away, her gaze cold beneath her cloak.
Ignis, having landed a blow, grinned maliciously, "Apolosi, stop struggling! You just expended so much power, forcibly activated your Light Wings, and now you're heavily wounded. You have no chance left."
Apolosi leaned on a staff formed from condensed light, barely steadying herself, blood spilling from the corner of her mouth, her golden hair somewhat disheveled.
But her golden eyes remained bright, filled with fury.
"Why... Echidna, Ignis... We once swore to jointly protect Woma World, why betray it?" she demanded.
"Protect?"
Echidna let out a sneer, "Apolosi, you're too naive. Woma World is on the verge of perishing; what is there to protect!"
"Dead people don't need to know too much, and besides, didn't you reject 'them' before?" Ignis interjected from the side.
"Them?" Apolosi seemed to drift, suddenly recalling the otherworldly visitors who had arrived together three months prior.
It seemed the problem lay with those individuals.
Apolosi had a sudden realization.
She looked at the two opposite her; whatever the reason.
In this situation, saying anything more was meaningless.
She propped herself up with her staff, and sacred flames ignited in her golden eyes.
"If that's the case, then let's see if you are worthy of taking my life."
"Has too much time passed, causing you to forget something...?"
"I, Apolosi..."
Her voice suddenly rose, and specks of golden light emerged and ascended around her body...
"Am the Holy Light..."
"Boom—!"
An indescribably vast Holy Light, like a volcano suppressed for ten thousand years, erupted from within Apolosi!
The light was so pure, so blazing, instantly dispelling all darkness and impurity within the Hall of Holy Verdict.
A golden pillar of light shot up into the sky, piercing through the dome of the Hall of Holy Verdict, extending into the clouds, staining the sky a brilliant gold!
Ignis and Echidna's eyes were in searing pain from the sudden, intense light.
They instinctively raised their hands to shield themselves and rapidly retreated backward, their body's energy surging to form shields.
"Damn it! This crazy woman!" Ignis roared furiously, the lava patterns on his body flickering wildly.
At the same time, the Hall of Holy Verdict, formed from light elements, disintegrated inch by inch, turning into billions of shimmering light particles.
They danced and swirled in the air, as if alive, then re-converged and condensed in a mysterious trajectory.
Transforming into a gigantic, constantly rotating and expanding domain of light.
At the edge of the domain, countless sacred runes appeared and disappeared erratically.
Apolosi floated silently at the center of this domain of light, her wounds rapidly healing at a visible rate under the bathing of the Holy Light.
She slowly spread her arms, her golden hair flowing without wind, and the pair of light wings on her back unfurled again, scattering golden motes of light.
"Traitors shall be judged by Holy Light!"
Her voice was no longer weak but filled with divine majesty.
Like an oracle, it echoed throughout the entire domain of light, shaking the soul.
Ignis looked at Apolosi, whose aura had suddenly surged, and the unfamiliar domain around them, entirely composed of pure Holy Light.
He was filled with shock, anger, and dread: "This... what the hell is this?! Her power... how could it suddenly become so strong?!"
Echidna's cloaked figure also paused slightly, her voice taking on a grave tone: "She burned a part of her Legendary Origin... forcibly drawing upon the dormant Holy Light power deep within Radiant City, thousands of miles away."
"This... this is the nascent form of a 'Holy Domain'! She can actually achieve such a feat!"
"Nascent form of a 'Holy Domain'?" Ignis growled irritably, his eyes filled with wariness.
Apolosi actually had such a trump card; if they weren't careful, they might be stuck here.
"Echidna, don't even think about holding back," Ignis turned to the shadow beside him.
"If we're not careful, both of us will be finished here today."
"I'm more clear-headed than you. Don't worry, the power she's unleashing by burning her origin, though seemingly vast, is ultimately rootless."
She stated with certainty: "Do you think Holy Power is so easy to borrow? Hmph, it won't last long. We just need to... stall."
Ignis and Echidna exchanged glances, no longer holding back, unleashing their full power.
In an instant, three Legendary powers, like three suns of different colors, rose slowly at the edge of the Red Soil Plateau!
A crimson pillar of light, scorching like lava, filled with destruction and violent aura!
A dark purple pillar of light, deep like the Abyss Maw, emanating an eerie coldness and mysterious fluctuations!
A brilliant golden pillar of light, sacred as the proud sun, spreading the will of light and purification!
The three pillars of light shot up into the sky, their immense power forcefully tearing a huge hole in the strange blood mist that enveloped the Red Soil Plateau.
Throughout the entire Red Soil Plateau, near and far, all living beings could clearly see these three energy torrents piercing through heaven and earth.
The crimson and dark purple pillars of light were now, one on the left and one on the right, jointly launching a fierce assault on the most dazzling golden pillar in the middle.
Each collision caused the sky to tremble violently, and the scattered energy aftershocks swept in all directions like solidified ripples.
"That is..."
"Legendary! Legendary powerhouses are fighting!"
"Three... it's actually three Legendaries!"
"The red one... is Ignis the Tyrant from Molten Heart! The purple one is Lady Echidna from Abyss Maw! And the golden one... could it be Her Majesty Apolosi from Radiant City?"
"Why... why are they fighting?!"
On the Red Soil Plateau, everyone gazed at the sky in horror, their hearts filled with awe and confusion.
.......
On the Infinite City camp battlefield, the air was thick with the scent of blood and Scorched Earth.
The crimson ground was strewn with tattered banners and scattered armor.
Scattered sounds of weapons clashing indicated that everything was about to settle.
Lilith stood alone amidst the wreckage, her battle armor extensively damaged, revealing her fair skin, and her burgundy hair was plastered messily to her forehead.
Her proud Bloodline Knight Order no longer existed.
Above her head, the massive purple light barrier, the [Spirit Pivot Soul Lock Array], hung like a merciless cage, emanating a heavy sense of oppression.
The flow of blood energy within her body was difficult, and her [Bloody Aura] was dim.
Not far away, a man in white, holding a sword, stood silently.
With every breath, Lilith felt her mind being cut by an invisible sword intent, her spirit on the verge of collapse.
Her blood magic seemed so ridiculous and powerless before such pure and domineering sword intent.
Escape?
Within this array, facing such a powerful expert, it was nothing but a fool's dream.
Just then, above the sky, three new 'suns' appeared........
