186: Eternal Star Torch

"Sublimation."

As Su Jin's thoughts settled, the Obsidian tower body, against which his palm was pressed, suddenly lit up.

The dizzyingly long string of evolution points on his Lord's panel began to decrease at a terrifying speed.

However, when the number plummeted to an astonishing degree, the tower's light began to flicker, and the Sublimation process abruptly stalled.

Vast energy surged within the tower, yet it seemed to be separated by an invisible membrane, unable to complete its final transformation.

"So that's it. The quantitative change is sufficient, but it still lacks a 'catalyst' to trigger the qualitative change."

Su Jin understood in his heart. After a moment of thought, his mind stirred.

Eight "World Origin Shards (Small)" emerged from his storage space.

Like eight miniature stars radiating halos, they slowly revolved around the tower body.

Then, they transformed into streaks of light and merged into the tower.

Buzz—

A long, drawn-out hum echoed.

The entire Infinite City trembled slightly along with it.

Inside the city, everyone involuntarily stopped what they were doing, gazing in awe at the towering pillar of light that shot skyward.

On the Star Realm Beacon's originally plain Obsidian surface, countless intricate silver-white patterns alternately lit up.

They rapidly spread to every inch of the tower's corners, eventually covering it completely.

The massive spatial crystal at the top of the tower transformed from a deep, ethereal blue to a chaotic expanse.

Within it, nebulae seemed to be born and die, and worlds to evolve.

A majestic spatial force surged skyward, stirring the clouds, yet it was confined around the tower by an invisible power, forming a force field where light was distorted.

After a few breaths, the light receded, and everything returned to stillness.

The original Obsidian tower body had transformed into a sky-piercing tower cast entirely from an unknown silver-white metal.

The tower's lines were smooth and ancient, inscribed with patterns that seemed to elucidate the mysteries of space.

The massive spatial crystal at the top of the tower had transformed into a deep, bottomless vortex.

It spun quietly, drawing in and devouring all light that approached it.

A line of new information appeared before Su Jin.

"Building Name: eternal star beacon"

"Level: Legendary (Unique)"

"Core Function 1: Realm Sea Anchoring (Activated) — Can anchor a spatiotemporal coordinate located in the 'Realm Sea' and construct a stable 'Star Gate' passage that crosses world barriers. Current passage maximum capacity: Two million strategic-grade legions or equivalent volume strategic units. Teleportation cooldown: Twenty-four hours."

"Core Function 2: Void Gate (Activated) — Can consume energy to open large temporary teleportation gates in any explored area of this world, enabling rapid troop deployment. Teleportation scale and distance depend on energy consumption."

"Core Function 3: Realm Barrier (Activated) — The Star Beacon will draw upon spatial power to envelop Infinite City in a resilient Realm Barrier, which can greatly deflect and absorb long-range physical and energy attacks, and inflict spatial tearing damage on enemies attempting forced spatial jumps into the city."

"Core Function 4: Starlight Absorption (Activated) — Can slowly draw free energy from the endless energy tides of the Realm Sea to supplement its own and the territory's needs, reducing reliance on local spirit veins."

"Core Function 5: Celestial Anchor (Activated) — Locks onto an established legendary-grade spatial guidance array, performing a superluminal 'traction' leap with the eternal star beacon and the designated area enveloped by its force field. This process will distort the gravitational fields of the origin and destination points, creating massive spatiotemporal ripples. Ignores conventional spatial blockade, consumes immense energy, requires a legendary-grade guidance array. Cooldown: Thirty days."

"Description: Beneath the starry sky, this beacon is eternal. It is an undying signpost, a lighthouse in despair, the footsteps of civilization crossing the dark forest."

It was done.

Su Jin looked at the new attribute list, a great weight lifted from his heart.

This was no longer a dirt road in a village; it was a true cosmic highway.

Although it still couldn't compare to super hubs like Windbreak Corridor, which could support the simultaneous teleportation of several legions, for the Southern Border War Zone at this moment, this was undoubtedly a lifeline.

The only trouble was the spatiotemporal coordinate required to activate "Realm Sea Anchoring."

This was something that, let alone him, even a major general of General Wei's caliber would absolutely not have the authority to access.

Without further ado, Su Jin's figure vanished from his spot, reappearing the next instant in the Youfeng Valley command center.

His sudden appearance startled the several legendary experts who were sitting dejectedly, their faces full of worry.

General Wei was looking down at the large military map of the Southern Border War Zone on the table.

Hearing the movement, he looked up, his bloodshot eyes showing no emotion.

"You're back? Any discoveries?"

His tone was very flat, seemingly holding no hope.

"General, there's a way."

Su Jin got straight to the point.

His single sentence drew the gaze of everyone in the command center.

General Wei was stunned for a moment, then shook his head bitterly.

"Boy, this is no time for jokes."

"I never joke about this kind of thing."

Su Jin walked up to him.

"I have a special territory building that just completed an Sublimation."

"Now, it can take on some of the functions of the Windbreak Corridor."

He succinctly explained the functions of the eternal star beacon, especially "Realm Sea Anchoring" and "Void Gate."

Inside the command center, it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

The several legendary experts exchanged glances, their faces filled with disbelief.

Lord Qin was the first to react.

"Lord Su... are you serious? Your building... can support the teleportation of a five hundred thousand-strong legion? And across realms?"

"Yes."

"Boom!"

General Wei suddenly stood up, knocking his chair to the ground.

He rushed to Su Jin in a few steps, pressing his hands on his shoulders with astonishing force.

"Su boy! Say that again!"

"It can be used."

Su Jin looked into General Wei's eyes, enunciating each word clearly.

"But it requires the Alliance Headquarters' 'spatiotemporal coordinate' for its first anchoring, and it cannot exist independently of my territory."

General Wei stared at him for a full ten seconds, and in his clouded eyes, light slowly rekindled.

He released his hands, stepped back two paces, and slammed his hand on the table.

"Connect to the Southern Border War Zone General Command! Highest encryption communication!"
