70: Sweep Adraan

Several days later, the sandstorms of Sunset Plain seemed to have mellowed considerably.

On the horizon, dust began to rise as an army slowly advanced.

The army was heading directly towards the former Goblin King City.

Now, this city, built with all the resources of the Goblin race, had a new nameβ€”"Zhaowang."

It means: 'Illuminating the light, looking forward to the future.'

Su Jin rode on his horse, looking at the city before him, a hint of emotion in his heart...

He narrowed his eyes slightly, urged his mount forward, and slowly entered the city renamed "Zhaowang."

Inside the city, there were almost no traces of battle damage, but the earth-shattering tremor from a few days ago could still be vaguely observed.

The streets had been largely cleared, and damaged buildings were being repaired in an orderly fashion, with patrols of soldiers maintaining order throughout the city.

"Lord, you're finally back!" A voice rang out; it was Li Yi, in charge of civil administration here.

His voice was a bit hoarse, clearly indicating he hadn't had an easy time recently.

Behind him, Mu Yang, in military attire, gave Su Jin a standard military salute: "Lord."

Su Jin dismounted, nodded to Mu Yang, and patted Li Yi's shoulder: "You've worked hard, Old Li. No trouble in the city these past few days, right?"

Li Yi quickly waved his hand: "Thanks to your great fortune, with Commander Mu Yang in charge, the rules of our Infinite City have been well enforced, and those Goblin and collected Human refugees have been quite well-behaved."

"It's just that the upheaval a few days ago scared quite a few people, but thankfully Commander Mu Yang brought his troops to 'pacify' them in time, preventing a major disturbance."

Mu Yang added: "Lord, the tremor that day was extremely violent, and its source seemed to be at the seal in the Royal Palace. Your subordinate has sent people to monitor it closely and has not found any abnormalities yet."

Su Jin nodded, his expression calm: "Hmm, I know about that thing. Take me to see it."

After passing through several streets under reconstruction, Su Jin stopped in an area under strict guard.

This was originally the Goblin King's Palace.

But now, the ground was covered with massive cracks.

At the very center, a bottomless chasm yawned menacingly, with a faint, obscure, and oppressive aura emanating from it.

This was the entrance to that seal.

Su Jin stepped forward and focused his senses. The power deep within the chasm was indeed immense and chaotic, filled with a destructive aura.

However, it was suppressed by a grander, seemingly omnipresent force.

This chaotic power was like it was bound by invisible shackles, merely agitated in place, unable to truly break free.

"It's the world's suppressive force..."

Su Jin understood. The very rules of this world were repelling and suppressing this external, chaotic power that did not belong here.

As long as the world itself remained stable, this seal wouldn't pose a major problem for a while.

"Mu Yang."

"Your subordinate is here."

"This place is designated as a top-level forbidden zone. Increase personnel and monitor it day and night. Report any anomalies immediately," Su Jin said gravely.

"Understood!" Mu Yang replied.

Although he didn't know what was on the other side of the seal, seeing his lord so serious, he understood the gravity of the situation.

Confirming that the seal was temporarily safe, Su Jin's heart settled slightly.

The affairs of Zhaowang City were handled by Li Yi and Mu Yang, and they were already on track.

Over in Twilight Forest, Liora was integrating the Elf, which also required time.

It seemed it was time to return to Infinite City.

...

Inside the familiar Lord's Hall, Su Jin sat in his seat, his fingertips unconsciously tapping the armrest.

He closed his eyes, his mind sinking into the Lord's Space.

The familiar territory information panel unfolded in his consciousness.

[Territory: Infinite City]

[Lord: Su Jin]

[Level: 3]

[Territory Scope: Nigu Forest (Core), Sunset Plain (Partial), Twilight Forest (Indirect Control)]

[Buildings: ... (Omitted)]

[Resources: ... (Omitted)]

[Population: 397896]

......

[Special: Adran World (Conquest Progress: 80%)]

[Promotion Conditions β˜… Exclusive]:

1. Territory core building level meets requirements (Met)

2. Territory population reaches 100,000 (Met)

3. World conquest progress reaches 95% (Yadran World Exclusive)

4. Consume 400,000 Soul Coins (Met)

Looking at the promotion conditions, Su Jin's gaze fell on the fourth item.

World conquest progress... Sure enough, it was just this last step.

Taking down Goblin King City and subduing the Elf had significantly increased his "World Conquest Progress," but it was still a little short of the 95% target.

The remaining progress, of course, had to come from clearing out the remaining forces.

Sunset Plain and the surrounding areas still had many scattered Goblin tribes, as well as some minor Human territories or forces.

These all needed to be swept away one by one and brought under the rule of Infinite City.

Thinking of this, Su Jin opened his eyes and issued an order.

A moment later, a figure appeared in the hall.

It was Huo Jun, the Valiant Cavalry Sky Blade, clad in Thunder Pattern Battle Armor (Thunder-patterned battle armor) and holding a long spear, looking heroic and extraordinary.

"Lord," Huo Jun said, his voice gentle.

"Huo Jun."

"Your humble subordinate is here!" Huo Jun straightened his posture.

"There are still many scattered Goblin remnants in Sunset Plain and its surrounding areas, as well as some... not-so-peaceful Human forces."

Su Jin's finger gently tapped the armrest, "I need you to lead the Azure Lightning Cavalry Guard to completely eliminate these unstable elements."

He paused, then added: "I will have Spirit Pivot Sword Servant and Shadow assist you."

Huo Jun's eyes lit up, his fighting spirit soaring: "Lord, rest assured! Four thousand Thunder Cavalry are already standing by! We will crush those petty villains under our iron hooves!"

Su Jin nodded in satisfaction and then looked at Bai Xiao beside him.

"Bai Xiao."

"Here," Bai Xiao responded.

"You..."

Su Jin thought for a moment.

"You will act with Huo Jun, but you don't need to participate in direct combat. Your mission is to deal with those high-level combatants who might be hidden in the shadows."

For example, for the leaders of certain Human forces, it was certainly possible to have Huo Jun's cavalry charge through them.

But with Bai Xiao's intervention, a "beheading" followed by annexation would be more efficient and result in fewer losses.

Moreover, with Bai Xiao, a tenth-order expert, holding the fort, it would ensure foolproof success.

"Yes."

"Very good." Su Jin stood up, "Very good. The cleanup work for this period is entrusted to you two."

"I need to conquer Adran World as soon as possible to upgrade the territory to Level 4."

"Yes, Lord!" Huo Jun and Bai Xiao responded in unison.

Watching the two receive their orders and depart, Su Jin walked to the floor-to-ceiling window of the hall, looking down at the vibrant Infinite City below.

Various buildings rose from the ground, people came and went on the neatly planned streets, and the shouts of soldiers training on the training ground could be faintly heard.

Everything was developing in a good direction.

Only one step remained until the territory reached Level 4.

And Level 4 territory meant... the opportunity to return to Blue Star.

Thinking of this, even Su Jin's heart couldn't help but stir.

"Blue Star..." he murmured softly, his gaze directed towards the distant horizon.
