167: Legendary 'Dark Eclipse'
Inside the Dawn Star’s bridge, there was a deathly silence.
The sharp alarm that had previously blared due to the “Netherfire” heavy artillery now seemed like a lifetime ago.
Everyone’s gaze.
was fixed on the three rising mushroom clouds on the main screen.
The adjutant beside Chen Shanhe, his hand pointing at the screen, trembled uncontrollably.
“Commander… this…”
Chen Shanhe ignored him, his tense body slowly leaning against the cold command console.
One hundred people.
The attack unleashed by their formation had actually achieved a quasi-legendary level strike, which was truly inconceivable.
He had originally thought he had sufficiently overestimated this reinforcement force named ‘Infinite City’.
Now it seemed.
He hadn’t overestimated them, but his own imagination.
“Infinite City…”
Chen Shanhe murmured the name, a flicker of excitement in his eyes.
“Pass on my order: all operational units still capable of action, counterattack! Tear them apart!”
…
The tide of battle.
began to turn the moment the ‘Netherfire’ position was destroyed.
With the rise of the three mushroom clouds.
the Dark Star Empire’s front line began to fall into chaos.
The artillery bombardment became disorganized, and troop movements lost their original rhythm.
This chaos became the perfect hunting ground for the Infinite City forces.
Under the shroud of the Guiyuan Sword Domain.
the entire battlefield seemed to become the Ling Shu Sword Guard’s home turf.
Their white clothes were whiter than snow, as they moved through the gunfire and smoke.
Their figures flickered erratically, each flash taking the lives of several enemies.
The bullets and energy beams of the Dark Star soldiers.
traced absurd trajectories in the distorted force field, grazing their clothes and flying elsewhere.
Some soldiers even suddenly turned their guns.
and frantically fired at their own comrades with terrified expressions, as if seeing some extremely terrifying illusion.
Meanwhile, in the vast shadows cast by the wreckage of warships, where light could not reach, another massacre was silently unfolding.
Shadow One and his ‘Shadows’.
transformed into the most lethal phantoms in this steel graveyard.
They became inconspicuous shadows on the battlefield.
paralyzing the enemy’s command and counterattack capabilities.
Black and white, one bright, one dark.
Like a noose, tightening simultaneously, mercilessly harvesting the lives of the enemies.
“Boom!”
A Dark Star Empire “Mantis” class mech was frantically strafing with its shoulder-mounted Vulcan cannon, trying to suppress a white-clad Sword Guard.
Suddenly.
a crimson energy beam struck its joint from the side-rear, and the massive explosion directly blew off one of its mechanical legs.
The mech lost its balance and crashed to the ground.
“Nice shot, Monkey!”
Ghost Hand’s voice rang out in the communication channel.
He controlled his portable single-person mech.
rushing out from behind a cover, and the miniature missile pod on his shoulder instantly opened.
Several tracking missiles, trailing their exhaust flames, completely engulfed the fallen “Mantis” mech.
On the other side of the battlefield.
a young “Ghost” team member, while sweeping with his autocannon, couldn’t help but complain in the squad channel.
“Boss, I feel like our post-battle reports are getting harder and harder to write…”
“We can’t just write, ‘Our unit, in coordination with allies, performed physical transcendence on the enemy,’ can we?”
“Shut up! Just focus on shooting your gun!”
Ghost Hand cursed with a laugh.
but his mood was incredibly cheerful.
“I’ll figure out the report! I’ve even thought of the title—‘How to Elegantly Pick Up Kills When Immortals Are Fighting’!”
Having been suppressed for too long.
the “Ghost” special forces team members finally found their rhythm as an ace unit.
Under the excellent output environment created for them by the Guiyuan Sword Domain.
they were the most reliable ‘sledgehammer’ on the battlefield.
specifically responsible for smashing those “hard bones” that the Dark Star Empire thought were unbreakable.
The scales of battle were tipping towards the Alliance in an irreversible trend.
Inside the Dark Star Empire’s command center, the atmosphere was oppressive.
The Commander.
a gaunt, sinister-eyed middle-aged man with purple-gold epaulets.
watched his retreating forces on the screen, bloodshot eyes appearing.
The Erosion Domain was breached.
The fleet was not destroyed.
The Netherfire was ruined.
Each of these was beyond his expectations.
That force that had suddenly emerged had completely disrupted all his deployments.
“General, the defensive line is about to collapse!”
“Those white-clad people… they are devils! Our soldiers can’t put up any effective resistance against them!”
An adjutant reported with a trembling voice.
“Shut up!”
The Commander slammed his fist onto the control panel.
The flickering data on the screen seemed to mock his incompetence.
He looked up, his eyes sinister.
“Since conventional methods are already ineffective…”
He turned and walked towards the door.
Passing through heavy alloy gates.
The guards along the way stood at attention, lowering their heads, not daring to look directly at the General’s expression at that moment.
At the deepest part of the base was a huge circular domed space.
A faint scent of blood permeated the air.
Intricate energy circuits were inscribed on the ground, flickering with a faint purplish glow.
The end of all lines converged on the central altar, made of pure Obsidian.
Around the altar, three black-robed priests stood silently.
The Commander walked to the altar.
A priest handed him a paint black box carved from an unknown metal.
He took it and opened it.
Inside the box, a dark red crystal pulsed rhythmically, like the heart of a living creature.
“For the glory of the Empire, some sacrifices are always necessary.”
He murmured, as if mocking the enemy.
He reached out and embedded the dark red crystal into a recess at the top of the altar.
The crystal was instantly absorbed by the altar, transforming into a pure stream of black energy.
All the purple circuits on the ground instantly turned a dazzling blood-red, and the entire base groaned under the unbearable strain.
A terrifying pressure, indescribable in words, erupted and spread.
On the battlefield, space was forcibly torn open with a pitch-black gap.
A terrifying pressure, like billions of tons of seawater, crashed down from the sky!
The Dark Star Empire’s Legend.
Erosion of Darkness.
had descended…
