81: The Weaver of Thoughts takes action, creating a deadly trap!

Marco left the Lords Manor, his face ashen.

The vertical pupil on his forehead, a symbol of the Three-Eyed Race's pride, was now faintly red from suppressed anger.

He walked through the city's cold metal buildings, turning west.

The style here was completely different; tall ancient trees replaced alloy walls, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of earth and plants.

This was the cultivation ground chosen by Ka Mountain and his professional squad, a corner that was out of place with the Mind Nexus.

Passing through a quiet small forest, Marco arrived at a simple wooden hut.

In the open space in front of the hut, the Weaver, Ka Mountain, was floating cross-legged in mid-air, his three eyes tightly closed, surrounded by a layer of subtle energy fluctuations invisible to the naked eye. He seemed completely immersed in his own world.

"Ka Mountain, I need your help." Marco tried to keep his voice calm, but the uncontrollable urgency still leaked out.

"Lord Marco."

Ka Mountain's voice was light, carrying a sense of detachment, "For you to come to me personally, it seems you've encountered some… 'trouble' that you find difficult to handle?"

Marco's cheek twitched slightly.

He disliked Ka Mountain's seemingly all-knowing tone, especially when he was currently overwhelmed with problems.

But he knew that this Tenth-Order expert was his only hope at the moment.

"Yes, trouble." Marco abandoned the unnecessary pleasantries and said directly, "Recently, the reconnaissance and clear-out squads I sent out have been disappearing one after another. Without warning, no signs of battle, not even a distress signal could be sent out."

He paused, his tone becoming grave: "The missing teams include a Seventh-Order Psychic Commander and his fifteen-person squad. They vanished as if into thin air."

Ka Mountain finally seemed to show some interest; he tilted his head slightly, and the light from his vertical pupil swept over Marco.

"No traces?" Ka Mountain repeated, a hint of curiosity in his voice, "Not even energy fluctuations could be detected?"

Marco nodded: "We tried our best. The intelligence department analyzed all energy residues in the missing areas and only found an extremely faint, rapidly dissipating soul fluctuation. They believe the attackers might possess some ability that directly targets the soul."

"I hope you can… make a move to draw them out." Marco directly stated his idea, "My army cannot cope with such hidden enemies. But if you step forward, with your strength. As long as they dare to show themselves, no matter who they are, they will not be able to escape from your hands."

"Draw them out?" Ka Mountain's tone sounded somewhat nonchalant, "Alright. I'm also very curious to see what kind of existence they are, capable of such clean work." He glanced at Marco, as if to say, your troops are too weak.

"However…" Ka Mountain changed the subject, "If I make a move, you should know the rules."

Marco's expression tightened, but he still responded: "Naturally. As long as you can resolve this threat, contribution points will be paid at the highest standard."

He now only hoped to quickly escape this passive situation and allow the clear-out plan to continue. As for the cost, it was nothing compared to what would be gained later.

"Very good." Ka Mountain seemed quite satisfied, and the light from his vertical pupil slowly receded, "The Spider Squad will depart in half a day."

"Prepare your 'sincerity,' and as for those 'troubles' that keep you awake at night… I will make them deeply understand that some places are not somewhere they can come and go as they please."

The Three-Eyed Race's Tenth-Order expert, ranked in the top hundred among his peers within the clan, this strength and status, enough to look down on many of his peers, was the solid backing for all of Ka Mountain's words and actions at this moment.

He even felt that these secretive fellows might bring a small diversion to his long-stagnant combat career.

.......

Behind a hidden sand dune several kilometers away from the Mind Nexus.

Shadow One's figure was like a dead tree, quietly blending into the shadows, as if integrated with the entire environment.

His gaze remained fixed on the direction of the Mind Nexus.

When the twelve powerful auras left the city without concealment, a barely perceptible ripple finally appeared in Shadow One's calm eyes.

He made no unnecessary movements, only transmitting a brief and clear message through a special method.

"Target has left the city. The Weaver Ka Mountain, and his squad, a total of twelve people. Direction, northwest."

After the message was transmitted, Shadow One's figure became blurred again, completely disappearing into the shadows, as if he had never appeared.

The wind still blew.

A hunt targeting top hunters was about to begin.
