13: Quantum storage – information storage
The journey ahead nearly cost both of them their lives.
Liu Yan, with only one leg, could only advance slowly, one step at a time.
And the combined value of the equipment they carried was already close to 2.5 million.
The weight of their wealth made it impossible for them to move.
Fuji, carrying one of Liu Yan's arms, shouted with a grimace:
"Haji Yan, you bastard... hang in there!!!"
At this point, Fuji's stamina was also nearing its limit.
Liu Yan was almost completely unable to move.
The red countdown flashing in the sky showed only 1 minute remaining.
They were still 100 meters away from the extraction point.
For the remaining 100 meters, Fuji was practically dragging Liu Yan forward, risking his life.
Their combined equipment, plus the firearms and miscellaneous items in their backpacks... each carried two guns, and there were two more guns in each of their bags, making a total of eight guns.
Adding Liu Yan's body weight, even with one leg missing, the reduced weight was negligible compared to all the equipment.
"You better not... die on the way, we're almost... there!"
Fuji's breathing was completely erratic now, and sweat had soaked his body.
Even his signature middle-parted hair, drenched in sweat, was slicked back.
"How much longer...?" Liu Yan struggled to open his eyes, asking groggily.
"Just... 10 meters..." Fuji's voice was barely a whisper, coming from deep within his throat.
Liu Yan looked up; the time in the sky now showed only 10 seconds left.
If this were a game, at this point, the extraction would have failed.
Fuji also noticed the time in the sky.
"Ughhh!!!"
After a roar, Fuji pushed forward with all his might, his veins on his forehead slightly bulging!
At this moment, even the students watching through the screen in the classroom were holding their breath.
3 seconds... 2 seconds... 1 second... Stomp—!!!
Thud—
With only one second left, Fuji successfully dragged Liu Yan into the extraction point.
Both of them collapsed forward onto the ground simultaneously... and the screen in the classroom turned black.
"Awesome!!!!!!"
"Holy crap!!!"
The students instantly sprang from their chairs, jumping up excitedly.
Just this morning, they had been full of disdain for Liu Yan.
However, in those last few meters, their hearts had been in their throats.
It was like watching a special forces training movie; no one wanted to see the two, supporting each other, fail at such a moment.
"You guys... that Bakshi incident before..." A student slowly began.
The original Liu Yan had participated in an operation, but was eventually expelled from the team. The official report stated that Liu Yan's failure to follow orders led to heavy team losses.
This incident was also the main reason everyone disliked Liu Yan.
"There's definitely an inside story! I think God Yan was set up by capital!"
"Right! Everyone saw God Yan's strength; he must have been wronged!"
Bang—!!!
"Damn it! I'm going to find the principal!"
Zhao Chuang slammed his hand on the desk and stood up, storming out the door without looking back.
Liu Yan's performance just now, any single part of it, was enough to be recorded in the school's history.
Would such a person cause heavy losses to a team? It was more likely that a team *without* Liu Yan would suffer heavy losses!
Fuji hadn't seen the final battle at the military camp, but the students had seen it with their own eyes.
He faced three different lines of fire alone, without falling behind.
Even in the end, when Liu Yan was ambushed by a lone wolf player hidden in a tent, with no ammunition, he relied on an ox horn he picked up to counter-kill!
Actually, Liu Yan completed all of this in less than 2 minutes.
However, after the painkiller wore off, he passed out from the pain.
This led to exceeding the initially agreed-upon time... Third District
"Ah, damn it, I was really exhausted just now."
"I feel like if we hadn't extracted, I might have just died of exhaustion in there."
Fuji, whose status had fully recovered after coming out of the portal, began to babble excitedly.
After all, this extraction, besides being worth over a million for each of them, also included the legendary mandel brick!
Liu Yan stretched his newly reappeared right leg and left arm, then thanked Fuji beside him:
"Thanks for earlier."
Fuji waved his hand dismissively.
"What's with the formality? If it weren't for you, how could we have earned so much?"
"I initially thought you were just bragging."
Hearing Fuji say this, Liu Yan also became a little curious.
"Then you dared to invest over 400,000 in equipment for me?"
You know, besides the three-tier armor and modified M4, the bullet money alone amounted to 100,000!
If he had died in there, a Mercedes would have been gone in a flash.
"Hmm, intuition, I guess. My luck has always been pretty good," Fuji replied.
Liu Yan nodded slightly.
Indeed, his previous two entries had been in very ordinary locations.
But the first time he entered with Fuji, he spawned at West Building, position one, and also found a mandel brick.
It just so happened that he had equipped himself this round.
Each factor was indispensable.
"Let's go, there's a stall over there where we can sell equipment and items."
Fuji pointed to a stall not far ahead.
"Please wait, gentlemen."
Two strong men in suits stopped Liu Yan and Fuji.
"Excuse me, we need to conduct a routine inspection of the supplies you've brought out." One of the men pointed at their backpacks.
"What is this?" Liu Yan frowned, looking at Fuji, who seemed already accustomed to all this.
"They are The Authorities. Some specific items are not allowed for ordinary people to hoard privately."
"If found, they will buy them back at a high price on the spot." Fuji patiently explained to Liu Yan.
However, when Liu Yan heard this, his pupils constricted slightly.
"Is a resuscitation ventilator within this scope?" Liu Yan asked.
At these words, the two strong men who were about to inspect their backpacks chuckled.
"Hahahaha, a resuscitation ventilator?"
"Little brother, that's not contraband, but you'd have to find it first!"
"Exactly, since the Third District appeared, a resuscitation ventilator has never been found."
"Information about it was only learned through the top secret server; whether it truly exists is still uncertain!"
The two strong men poured a bucket of cold water on Liu Yan with their back-and-forth remarks.
Not long after, the two strong men had finished inspecting their backpacks.
One of the strong men smacked his lips after seeing their well-stocked backpacks.
"You two boys made a good profit, huh? Alright, no contraband, you can go."
Only then did the two put their backpacks back on and walk towards the stall ahead.
After they had walked nearly a hundred meters away, one of the strong men asked, puzzled:
"Why did you lie to him just now? The resuscitation ventilator is clearly..."
The man who was asked waved his hand indifferently.
"Just a casual remark, and it's not a bad thing."
"If he knew, what if, and I mean what if, he really found a resuscitation ventilator?"
"Would he hide the resuscitation ventilator in quantum storage if he was prepared beforehand?"
"Contraband of this level definitely can't be made public like a drone, you idiot!"
Hearing this, the puzzled strong man suddenly understood, then asked again:
"But quantum storage, ordinary people can't get that, can they?"
"Better safe than sorry."
Here, quantum storage is not as simple as storing information; it can store an item as information and then restore and release it at any time... A hundred meters away
"quantum storage, huh...?" Liu Yan, wearing a headset helmet, muttered to himself.
"What did you say?" Fuji turned his head.
Liu Yan showed a meaningful smile.
"Nothing, someone just told me the answer."
It just sounded like quantum storage was also somewhat special.
