99: Graduation Files

After storing the blade server in quantum storage, Liu Yan didn't linger, turning to walk towards the evacuation point.

Coming out of the evacuation point, Liu Yan felt an indescribable sense of relief.

The graduation assessment was finally over; next up was dedicating himself entirely to the Soldiers training program and searching for a resuscitation ventilator.

"Brother Yan! Brother Ji called us to the company for a meeting!" Zhao Chuang spotted Liu Yan walking out of the entrance from afar.

"A meeting?" Liu Yan was taken aback.

Is this Fuji's style?

"Here, this is your graduation certificate. Principal Wang printed ours out the day before yesterday."

Liu Yan took the graduation certificate and nodded.

Principal Wang made a special exception for Liu Yan, and at Liu Yan's request, Zhao Chuang's graduation certificate was also printed in advance.

On Liu Yan's graduation certificate, the golden, brilliant characters clearly read:

【27th Class: Special Operations Personnel File】

【Name: Liu Yan】

【Assault Capability: MAX】

【Command Capability: MAX】

【Sniping Capability: MAX】

【Information Gathering: MAX】

【Desperate Situation Awareness: MAX】

【Area Comprehension: MAX】

【Close Combat: 99】

【Principal's Comment: Undoubtedly, the strongest operative ever. To anyone who sees this file and disagrees, go challenge him to a wager match!】

The first few entries were normal, but upon seeing the last two, Liu Yan raised an eyebrow.

Regarding close combat, with the strength from the injections, he was almost a match for most people.

Liu Yan turned his head and glanced at Zhao Chuang, then immediately understood why his close combat ability was 99.

During that assessment, Liu Yan effortlessly eliminated 19 of the 20 people in Zhao Chuang's group.

When only Zhao Chuang remained, he charged forward with his shield.

Just as Liu Yan jumped and pushed off the wall to get behind Zhao Chuang, he was hit by a casual punch from Zhao Chuang.

The result was like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily against the wall.

Although Liu Yan successfully shot Zhao Chuang in the back of the head during the process, he himself nearly died.

Liu Yan was 100% sure that if that punch had been Zhao Chuang's full power, he might have been killed on the spot.

"Let me see yours." Liu Yan took Zhao Chuang's file from his hand.

【27th Class: Special Operations Personnel File】

【Name: Zhao Chuang】

【Assault Capability: 10】

【Command Capability: 0】

【Sniping Capability: 0】

【Information Gathering: 0】

【Desperate Situation Awareness: MAX】

【Area Comprehension: 0】

【Close Combat: MAX】

【Principal's Comment: Power moves bricks. To anyone who sees this file and doubts the comment, just look up and see what kind of thing is standing in front of you!】

Liu Yan looked up at Zhao Chuang, then at the file.

It was truly meticulous.

The comment on Zhao Chuang's Desperate Situation Awareness was probably added by the Principal specifically for Zhao Chuang based on that Top Secret Area Bakshi mission.

One might ask, in a desperate situation, disregarding everything else and only thinking of doing one's utmost to keep one's teammates alive—

Why wouldn't such an operative's Desperate Situation Awareness be MAX?

"Too bad Brother Ji isn't from our school, otherwise I'd really like to see his file."

"Brother Yan... if it were Brother Ji, could he really graduate?"

"Hmm... the graduation certificate was probably bought."

After speaking, the two exchanged a smile.

After putting away their files, the two left the Third District.

Following the address Fuji provided, they found Fuji's company.

"Brother Yan, are you sure it's here?" Zhao Chuang asked, unsure.

Liu Yan confirmed the address several times.

"It's here, but I feel like we've been scammed."

In front of them, through the translucent glass door, faint pinkish-purple lights could be seen inside.

The signboard above the shop was faded and yellowed, clearly from over a decade ago.

But the large characters on the signboard were still clear:

Yusan Foot Spa.

Liu Yan gently pushed open the glass door, and the wind chimes on the door tinkled crisply.

A sparsely dressed female attendant saw them, skillfully took two blue disposable shorts from the side, and handed them to the two.

"We're here to see Fuji." Liu Yan waved his hand.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were customers. The boss is inside." The female attendant pointed.

"Thank you."

Liu Yan suppressed the urge to complain and walked to the innermost room.

Before he could knock, the door opened from the inside.

"What took you so long? Come in quickly."

Fuji quickly waved them in.

Inside was a small, not-so-large studio.

This was completely different from Liu Yan's impression of an operations company.

In his mind, an operations company should be in an office building or a relatively large building.

Ultimately, Liu Yan couldn't resist and asked:

"Are other operations companies like this too?"

Zhao Chuang, beside him, nodded repeatedly, clearly also very curious.

"No, it's just that my company doesn't get many orders, so I simply renovated the front part and started my own small business."

Fuji explained while pouring two cups of cola from the side and handing them to the two.

"Let me see your files. I need to make a copy."

"The Authorities have quite high requirements for this."

"Okay."

The two pulled out their crumpled files from their pockets and handed them to Fuji.

"Damn, do you guys know how important this is? Some people even frame them!"

Liu Yan and the other man shrugged, clearly not taking the files too seriously.

Fuji gave them an exasperated look, then opened the files and smoothed them out on the table.

"Not bad, Iron Egg, all top-tier as expected."

"Old Chuang is good too. Although you're severely specialized, some special companies really need someone like you."

Fuji scanned them, then put the two files into the printer.

"Brother Ji, can I see your file? I'm quite curious." Zhao Chuang scratched his head.

"Hmph, what's so good about my file? It's been so many years since I graduated."

After copying their files, Fuji became busy, filling out information, forms, and signing.

"All of these will be submitted to The Authorities for records. To be honest, I don't know what they're for."

"Anyway, they just want you to submit them."

Liu Yan and Zhao Chuang, having nothing to do, looked around the studio.

"These are your dad's old orders?" Liu Yan picked up a few slips and looked at them.

"Yes, those must be from several years ago."

Liu Yan looked at the order information above, frowning slightly.

All of these orders had an order time and a completion time that differed by only one day.

That is to say, Fuji's dad completed almost all orders in one day.

If he took the order and then went to the Third District to find it himself, Liu Yan would absolutely not believe it.

This speed of completion could only mean one thing: he already had them!

"Hey, Brother Yan, look quickly, I found Brother Ji's file!" Zhao Chuang happily waved the file in his hand.

"Damn it, Old Chuang, give it back to me!" Fuji's eyes widened, and he rushed to grab it.

This was his dark past!

"You've seen both of ours. With our relationship, what's wrong with looking at yours?"

Zhao Chuang held the file high, and no matter how Fuji reached, he couldn't touch the file in Zhao Chuang's hand.

Eventually, he could only reluctantly compromise.

"Oh, fine, look, but don't make fun of me later!"

Finally, the three gathered and opened Fuji's file.

【23rd Class: Special Operations Personnel File】

【Name: Cai Fuji】

【Assault Capability: 2.5】

【Command Capability: 2.5】

【Sniping Capability: 2.5】

【Information Gathering: 2.5】

【Desperate Situation Awareness: 2.5】

【Area Comprehension: 2.5】

【Close Combat: 2.5】

【Principal's Comment: No comment.】

"Your surname is Cai??" Liu Yan's mouth dropped open as he looked at Fuji.

The latter nodded helplessly.

"Brother Ji, why didn't you ever say?"

Zhao Chuang also focused on the name.

"Do you know how many years the nickname 'Cai Ji' (meaning 'noob' or 'rookie,' using 'Cai' from his surname and 'Ji' from his given name) has followed me when the characters 'Cai' and 'Ji' appear together?"

"If it were you, would you go around telling people?"

Fuji grumpily put the file away.

After looking at the file, Zhao Chuang and Fuji went about their business, only Liu Yan remained frozen in place.

Is it a coincidence?

Why is his surname Cai?

Liu Yan's brows furrowed tighter and tighter, finally turning to ask:

"Brother Ji, what's your dad's name?"
