446: Those who disobey will die
The streets of Santorinoya.
The atmosphere at the intersection remained tense.
The only difference was that everyone on the Hafke side had now lowered their weapons.
To prevent casualties, all armed personnel had hidden behind the armored vehicles and weapons.
It was clear they had no intention of making a move.
This left both the Asala Guard and GTI confused.
Did they come here with such aggressive momentum just to watch the show?
"What do you think, Commander... the situation right now is a bit strange, isn't it?"
Kai Silva whispered in the Supreme Commander's ear.
The latter frowned and shook his head as well.
Under normal circumstances.
Since Geheros had already opened fire in the sensitive area, the Asala Guard should have logically taken action immediately upon arrival.
But instead, GTI arrived, and Hafke followed closely behind.
"Let's stick to the original plan... find an opportunity to snipe Reis..."
The Commander turned his head and spoke softly into the microphone.
Soon, a reply came through the headset.
"Received."
Just as the Commander turned back, Reis shouted at him.
"Hey, idiot, don't think I don't know what you're thinking. You think you're the only ones with snipers?"
"Guess how many sniper rifles are aimed at you right now?"
"Besides, if I die, I can still detonate the bombs."
As he spoke, Reis raised his hand, pointing at the surrounding buildings, and shook the trigger in his hand.
Hearing this, the Supreme Commander's face turned livid.
Golden Luna, standing to the side, squinted and scanned the surroundings.
The environment here was intricate; there were at least ten optimal sniper spots that she could identify.
In fact, she had already been caught by the glare of sniper scopes several times just from a quick glance.
"It would be great if Lone Dragon were here..." an Operator couldn't help but mutter.
Hearing this, the Supreme Commander's already livid face became even darker.
Without needing to be told, most of the GTI Operators present knew that Lone Dragon's mechanical eye would be perfect for this situation.
Although it was still in the experimental stage, its usage time was limited, and it tended to overheat.
However, it could see directly through cover and image the people behind it.
It could confirm the locations of all snipers with almost a single glance.
But because of the Supreme Commander's order.
Lone Dragon had gone to find Liu Yan...
Feeling the gazes of the others on him, the Supreme Commander lowered his head slightly.
"..."
However, even so, Kai Silva did not let him off.
"If you can't handle it, just step down and let me take command."
"Now look at us. A group of us ran all the way over here, only to stand around like fools."
"We don't dare to fight, yet we can't leave. Tell me, what should we do? You tell me what to do."
The Supreme Commander took a few deep breaths before he could muster the strength to retort:
"I didn't anticipate this situation at the beginning."
"We did this to stop the three of them from getting in."
Kai Silva turned his head and sneered.
"You didn't anticipate it? You're the Commander; if you don't anticipate these things, who will?"
This remark left the Supreme Commander unable to retort.
He opened his mouth to speak several times but ultimately remained silent.
"Enough, is this really the time to argue?" Golden Luna pulled on Kai Silva.
Geheros, surrounded by the three factions, was also somewhat confused by the convergence of these forces.
He had no idea what had happened outside.
He also hadn't expected that killing a Raven would lead to such a situation.
Adhering to the principle that this had nothing to do with him, Geheros began walking toward the direction of the Hafke forces.
"Wait, did I say you could leave?"
Just as Geheros took a step, Reis's voice rang out, unhurried and steady.
Geheros stopped in his tracks and turned back to look at Reis in surprise.
The latter pointed to the pile of corpses, continuing with an arrogant expression:
"You killed so many of my men, and you think you can just walk away?"
If GTI were not present, Reis naturally would not have dared to act this way.
Face Hafke head-on? He wasn't stupid.
But now that GTI had been dragged into the mess.
They couldn't possibly stand by and watch him blow up civilians.
Therefore, as long as Hafke made a move, GTI would have to suppress their disgust and help him stop Hafke.
Just as Reis had expected, when the GTI Commander saw Geheros slowly raising his weapon, he could no longer sit still.
"Geheros! Have you lost your mind? No one knows how many bombs he has buried right now."
"If he detonates them, the consequences will be unimaginable!"
As the Commander finished speaking, the other GTI Operators also prepared for combat.
Yet even so, the Soldiers and Commander on the Hafke side remained unmoved.
It wasn't that they were keeping their cool.
The Hafke Commander was so anxious that his head was practically smoking.
The problem was that they couldn't contact Demulan!
With the Supreme Commander's warning, Geheros frowned.
In an instant, he understood a certain saying.
A toad on the foot doesn't bite, but it's disgusting.
In his eyes, Reis was no different from that toad right now.
Was he using this opportunity to corner him here?
Taking advantage of GTI's presence to find a chance to weaken Hafke's forces, so he could bide his time for the future?
Or was he just stalling for time?
Geheros lowered his weapon and looked at Reis and the Supreme Commander.
"So, do you expect me to just stand here?"
"Are you deaf? You killed so many of my men, and you think we can just let it go?"
Hearing Reis's words, Geheros's face under his mask twitched.
This move by Reis was truly despicable.
Using the millions of residents of Santorinoya as bargaining chips.
"Then what do you want..."
"Wait, what is that in the sky?"
Before Geheros could finish his sentence, he heard the surprise of the Hafke Soldiers behind him.
In the sky, besides the blue eagle helicopter, what else could there be?
"Holy shit!! This... this... this..."
Soon, sounds of astonishment came from the GTI and Asara sides as well.
Geheros looked up at the sky, curious.
Fortunately, he had tilted his head back, otherwise his eyes might have popped out.
At this moment, the sky was completely obscured.
But what obscured the sky was not dark clouds, nor was it the blue eagle helicopter.
It was...
weapons.
Countless weapons.
A dense swarm of weapons.
And in the midst of them, Liu Yan was sitting on one of the weapons.
"Holy shit... what the hell..."
Even though Geheros could accept the premise of these items' magical abilities.
It was hard for him to accept the sight of Liu Yan flying through the air on a weapon.
This was no different than spending your whole life practicing martial arts,
only to get on stage and discover the opponent was practicing internal energy.
The other person was a cultivator.
Everyone's worldview was, at this moment,
shattered by the weapons that blotted out the sky.
Immediately after, Liu Yan's voice rang out, clear and resonant, filling everyone's ears.
His voice was unusually calm, yet it carried an irresistible command:
"Cease fire."
"Leaders of all parties, gather beneath my feet."
"I will take you to the Hafke headquarters to discuss the contract. The three parties will cooperate, and everyone will get what they need."
"Those who defy shall die."
