183: Jacob

"I finally found it. I thought this world didn't have any," Cai Ning said, holding an item similar to a mandel brick, but silver-white in color.

Liu Yan was slightly startled.

"A turing brick?"

"Yes," Cai Ning nodded, then tossed the turing brick into Liu Yan's hand.

"In our previous world, after the descent, we would occasionally find turing bricks in the operational areas."

"What's it for?" Liu Yan raised the turing brick.

"You'll know when you open it," Cai Ning said mysteriously.

"You're nearly fifty, aren't you a bit childish?"

Liu Yan gave Cai Ning an annoyed glance, then tried to open the turing brick, just like he would a mandel brick.

The opening methods were identical, but the items that appeared were different.

"A grenade launcher??" Liu Yan frowned, looking at the item that appeared.

"Ah, that's really bad luck."

"I should have opened it."

"turing bricks can yield many special weapons, like anti-material sniper rifles, rocket launchers, flamethrowers, and such."

"There are also some guns not found in the operational areas, including things like Claymore mines and T7 thermal imaging. Those are available too."

Liu Yan nodded thoughtfully, then returned the turing brick to Cai Ning.

"Well, this one certainly had bad luck. Next time, you open it."

"Don't search too late; we still have to clear other cities tomorrow."

Liu Yan waved his hand and turned to walk out of Bakshi.

Their location was exactly the intersection of Bakshi and the street, and across from them was a hotel.

This was why Cai Ning, having nothing to do, went in and searched for a while longer.

"Alright, you go rest. I'll search a bit more. What if I find a few more? They'll all be useful later."

Cai Ning waved his hand and continued to search room by room in the Bakshi urban area.

This also made him recall the previous world.

Liu Yan would fight, and after it was over, he would go to the operational area to find treasures, then give them to Liu Yan.

Thus creating a virtuous cycle... A super-large island.

On the turbulent sea, dozens of massive steel behemoths stood steadily.

If viewed from afar, they might be mistaken for countless docks.

But from the air, one could instantly recognize them as nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.

Not only that, even if the largest aircraft carrier in this world were brought over for comparison, it would be like a small witch meeting a great one.

On each aircraft carrier, countless fighter jets were neatly arranged, their models also at a level unattainable by modern technology.

On the island, countless rocket launch towers stood tall.

Deep within the island, countless meteorological missiles also stood.

Underground on the island, intercontinental missile silos lay hidden.

Furthermore, around the island, several nuclear submarines could vaguely be seen surfacing.

Such islands were scattered across the world.

Demulan stood at the edge of the island, her gaze sharp as she stared at the sea, muttering to herself, seemingly talking to no one in particular.

"Everything is ready. Shall the plan begin now?"

A majestic voice came from her ear:

"No hurry. If possible, a soft execution is still preferred. Destroying this place is not our objective."

Demulan looked down at the waves continuously crashing against the shore and said in a deep voice:

"But in previous worlds, only a small fraction was willing to obey Hafke."

"Most chose to resist stubbornly. Why go to such great lengths with them?"

"Isn't it enough to just preserve the strongest human bodies? After all, there are plenty of such worlds."

The majestic voice spoke again:

"They cannot resist."

"As before, if a soft execution is possible, try not to resort to force. Destroying this place would require rebuilding."

"Compared to the time spent dealing with them, rebuilding would require more manpower and time."

"A few years from now, those who survive will mostly be the highest quality genes in this world."

"And during this period of continuous war, anyone will grow weary."

"At that time, when we extend an olive branch to them, whether it's biological immortality, consciousness upload, or world migration..."

"These technologies will be difficult for them to refuse."

After hearing the other party, Demulan sighed helplessly.

Previous worlds had all been executed this way.

Although in some individual worlds, the survivors voluntarily wore brain-machine interfaces and joined Hafke.

But most chose to resist until death.

Hafke spent a great deal of time, sacrificing countless Soldiers, only to ultimately destroy and then occupy and rebuild it.

In Demulan's view, rather than going to such great lengths, it would be more efficient to simply destroy it directly.

After all, it would need to be rebuilt anyway.

Demulan's silence seemed to make the other party understand her thoughts.

"Demulan, don't forget how your daughter died."

"Including my parents, every one of them was a victim."

"Our goal is never to wage war, but to unify the ideologies of all worlds, so that no world experiences war."

"In previous worlds, have you ever seen a world where the entire world was united?"

"Every country in every world covets the resources in the operational areas of other countries; their internal wars never cease."

"It is precisely because humans are greedy that war has never stopped."

"War is merely our means to end everything, not our primary objective."

Through the tone of that majestic voice, one could hear its hatred for war.

"Alright."

Hearing the other party's response, Demulan also gave up on persuading.

She turned to look into the depths of the island, at the backs of countless busy Hafke Soldiers, a hint of helplessness in her eyes.

These Soldiers were different from those fighting in various parts of the world.

Every one of them possessed sentience.

Suddenly, the majestic voice spoke again, its tone intrigued.

"Oh, by the way, let me tell you something interesting."

"In previous worlds, there was someone named Liu Yan. Do you still remember him?"

Upon hearing the name Liu Yan, Demulan's body trembled violently!

A flicker of fear flashed in her eyes.

Demulan slowly spoke:

"That madman who would kill both friend and foe to win?"

The majestic voice chuckled:

"That's right. In this world, I met someone named Liu Yan."

After hearing the other party, Demulan's pupils were filled with shock, and a deep-seated fear instantly surfaced.

That was the closest she had ever come to death.

"He shares the same name as the previous one, but their appearances are different."

"He's also quite strong, but based on my observations, he's much weaker than the Liu Yan of that world, and his personality... is also much easier to get along with."

"Do you think it's possible that he came here using the heart of africa?"

In the majestic voice, Demulan could not detect any apprehension or fear; instead, it sounded intrigued.

Demulan's eyes quickly returned to normal, her tone tinged with a hint of disdain:

"Even if it's him, he'll still fail, just like those guys from G.T.I and Rhodes Island."

"War is about technology, and they are far less powerful than us."

"Even if it comes down to individual strength, I am completely unafraid of him now."

Demulan glanced at the M700 sniper rifle in her hand, a red light flashing across it.

"Mr. Jacob."

"The power of the heart of africa is indeed formidable."
