370: Red Wolf's Smooth Butt

After arguing for an hour without any results, everyone stopped debating which language Liu Yan was actually speaking.

No matter how many GTI Operators they brought in, or even if they checked surveillance, analyzed signals, or used any other method.

In the end, what everyone heard, what Liu Yan said, was always their own native language.

They could only come to one conclusion.

When someone is in the mood for a prank.

The others would cooperate with tacit understanding.

As a tall and sturdy figure walked in, everyone stopped their clamor.

Instructor. Instructor.

Looking at Deep Blue, who had just walked in, everyone greeted him.

Is this the person the higher-ups mentioned who is about to join GTI?

Deep Blue pointed at Liu Yan.

Roy nodded.

After sizing Liu Yan up, Deep Blue extended a hand toward him in a friendly manner.

Hello. My name is Alexei Petrov, codename Deep Blue. I am an instructor at GTI.

Liu Yan shook Deep Blue's hand and nodded politely. Hello.

Seeing that Liu Yan only nodded without speaking, Deep Blue's expression gradually grew puzzled.

He looked at the others, then glanced at Liu Yan.

He had already introduced himself; logically, the other person should have introduced himself as well.

What is your name?

Deep Blue's question reminded the others.

It seemed they had been the ones introducing themselves to Liu Yan, while Liu Yan hadn't introduced himself to them yet.

So much so that no one knew his name.

But just then, Roy hurriedly raised his hand. Instructor, his name is Chen Yu...

My name is Liu Yan.

Liu Yan's voice and Roy's voice rang out simultaneously.

Wait a minute, didn't you tell me your name was Chen Yu? Roy looked at Liu Yan in astonishment.

The latter shrugged. You also told me your name was Luo.

Hearing what Liu Yan said, Roy looked embarrassed.

He was a GTI Operator, after all. To think he had been played like this.

If Liu Yan hadn't said anything, he would have believed his name was Chen Yu until the day he died.

Not bad, strong sense of vigilance.

Golden Luna reacted first and nodded appreciatively at Liu Yan.

Among us GTI Operators, besides using nicknames, we usually address each other by codenames.

If you're willing, once you join GTI, you can use Chen Yu as your codename. Though it depends on whether the higher-ups approve.

After Golden Luna finished, Liu Yan nodded slightly.

The reason he told everyone his name was that, after a brief interaction, Liu Yan was already able to trust them.

After all, the main reason he hadn't told Roy his name earlier was because the other party had hidden his name first.

Comrade Liu Yan, according to protocol, we will conduct a baseline assessment for you shortly.

After learning Liu Yan's name, Deep Blue spoke in a calm tone.

Hearing about the assessment, the others' eyes lit up.

Wang Yuhao walked up and draped his arm over Liu Yan's shoulder. Fellow countryman, good luck.

There is no second place on the battlefield; if we're going to be something, let's be the best. But since I've always been number one, you should aim for second.

Hearing Wang Yuhao finish, Kai Silva laughed disdainfully.

That's only because I don't have the time to keep chasing your scores. I could break your records at any time, but if I break them, you'll just break them again, and I don't have the time to waste on that.

Wang Yuhao laughed heartily twice, simultaneously raising his right hand with his index finger and thumb slightly pinched. That's why I'm always just a little bit ahead of you.

Kai Silva, who had been leaning his butt against the table, stood up upon seeing this, crossed his arms, and said provocatively to Wang Yuhao, Then why am I the captain?

Before Wang Yuhao could retort, Mai Xiaowen's voice drifted over: Of course, it's because Big Brother Old Black voluntarily requested not to be captain.

Wang Yuhao laughed out loud immediately upon hearing this. Hahahaha, Xiaowen makes sense.

As he spoke, Wang Yuhao didn't forget to send a look of praise to Mai Xiaowen.

But immediately after, Golden Luna's voice rang out, not to be outdone. But looking across the entire GTI, only Red Wolf knows how to slide.

As soon as these words were spoken, the previously smug Mai Xiaowen's expression gradually froze.

Wang Yuhao, who had just been laughing, also stiffened.

That's probably because Red Wolf's butt is as smooth as a woman's.

After saying this, David Ferrer downed the rest of his beer in one gulp.

At the same time, even Deep Blue and Liu Yan couldn't help but laugh.

Kai Silva, the person involved, saw the pride on his face turn red at a visible speed.

He instantly raised his arm, aiming the muzzle of his triple-barreled hand cannon at David Ferrer, who was sprawled on a chair.

Even so, Wang Yuhao didn't stop his verbal jabs.

If I had a Powered Exoskeleton device, I could do a slide too. It's just a pity that my legs are too healthy, so I don't qualify for the exoskeleton test.

Wang Yuhao looked at his own legs with regret.

Are you implying your body is perfectly healthy? As he spoke, Kai Silva made a move to punch Wang Yuhao in the abdomen.

Enough! The higher-ups shouldn't have scheduled your rest days on the same day.

We are here to conduct an assessment for Comrade Liu Yan; what are you two joining in the fun for? If your hands are itching, you can come find me to spar tonight.

With Deep Blue's reminder, Wang Yuhao and Kai Silva stopped arguing, glanced at each other, and turned their heads away.

Sorry for the spectacle. Their sarcasm isn't malicious. On the contrary, their relationship is much better than you might think.

If you join GTI for a while, you'll gradually understand.

Deep Blue explained to Liu Yan.

The other person had just arrived at GTI and saw such a scene. Someone who didn't know better might think the people at GTI were all crazy.

I think I can understand. Liu Yan smiled and withdrew his gaze from the two.

Seeing that Liu Yan wasn't bothered by the farce that had just occurred, Deep Blue breathed a sigh of relief.

Regarding your assessment process, let me explain it to you first. The assessment is divided into three parts.

First is a baseline round, followed by confirming your areas of expertise, selecting two.

Finally, there will be two upgrade assessments based on your areas of expertise.

The one with the best result will be taken as your final branch assignment. This also means you have officially joined GTI.

Of course, before the final two upgrade assessments, there will be a training period. After all, the baseline scores are definitely not enough to pass the final assessment.

Before that, I will conduct specialized training based on the two areas you excel in.

After Deep Blue said the words specialized training, Liu Yan keenly noticed that everyone else looked at him with sympathetic gazes.

Their gazes made Liu Yan feel a bit uneasy.

He looked at the tall Deep Blue in front of him involuntarily and swallowed his saliva.

Just how hellish is this training... to make these people who are like secret agents and special forces soldiers look at him with such eyes.

However, this thought only flashed through Liu Yan's mind briefly.

After all, it wasn't certain yet just how terrible his own baseline assessment would be.

Liu Yan sighed helplessly in his heart. It looks like... he was going to embarrass himself next.
