361: How much money did you receive?

Roy did not stop recording until the Soldiers urged and pushed the crowd away from beneath the gushing dam.

Upon returning to the Tourist Center, only a few Soldiers remained to settle the reporters and tourists.

Meanwhile, Sayyid led another group of Soldiers to the top of the dam to investigate the masterminds behind the explosion.

The reporters, who had been driven back to the Tourist Center for shelter, picked up their cameras once again.

They pointed their cameras at the remaining few Soldiers and began their incessant chatter once more.

"In my opinion, this dam incident was entirely directed and performed by Asara themselves."

"They want to use this method to frame everything on Hafke."

"Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence? It didn't blow up earlier or later, but specifically right after our reporter team arrived?"

"That makes sense! Now that you mention it, I realize it too!"

"In order to frame Hafke, Asara doesn't even care about the lives of us ordinary people!"

Hearing the remarks of these reporters, the Soldiers' molars were nearly crushed from clenching their teeth.

However, since Sayyid was not there, they did not dare to take initiative, and they didn't even dare to respond.

They could only stand there stiffly, facing the reporters' array of cameras and microphones with nowhere to hide.

"Look, everyone, these Asala Soldiers have lowered their heads in shame!"

"They know better than anyone that this is a solid case of them directing and performing it themselves!"

"Otherwise, why wouldn't they even dare to speak?!"

Seeing this scene, even Roy's expression couldn't help but shift slightly.

Originally, his purpose for coming here was to perform field duty.

He wanted to take this opportunity to collect evidence from both Asara and Hafke.

After all, both sides had their own stories, making it impossible to judge right from wrong.

But judging by the current scene, Hafke's methods were clearly more despicable.

Yet, constrained by his identity with GTI, Roy found it difficult to intervene directly.

If he were filmed, the international narrative would immediately change.

GTI would be seen as claiming to mediate the war on the surface while actually siding with Asara.

Beside him, Liu Yan watched the Soldiers' embarrassed state, and a surge of anger from nowhere filled his heart.

It was a strange feeling.

What these reporters were doing to the Soldiers felt like a sharp blade stabbing into his own heart.

Clearly, he didn't know them... though a few of them felt inexplicably familiar.

While Liu Yan's mind was still pondering, his body had already walked up to one of the Soldiers.

"What are you do—"

The soldier instinctively wanted to pull Liu Yan away, but when he looked Liu Yan in the face, he released his hand as if possessed.

In Liu Yan's eyes, he saw an inexplicable emotion.

Protectiveness? Standing up for someone?

No, that look... was more like the expression a parent shows when their child has been bullied.

But why?

This young man looked to be only in his twenties, not even thirty.

Why would he show such a look toward him?

After standing in front of the soldier, Liu Yan turned around to face the group of reporters.

"It's just a part-time job for a hundred thousand haf coins, why are you all risking your lives?"

"Do you really think that by barking like this, Hafke will give us more haf coins?"

"How many times has this been that you've slandered Asara without distinguishing right from wrong?"

"They've endured it every time; even when the dam burst, their first thought was still to protect us."

"Will you only be satisfied when they can't take it anymore and shoot us all dead?"

"At that point, Hafke would even save those hundred thousand haf coins."

"We're all here to make money on a part-time gig; there's no need to take such risks just to earn a bit more."

Hearing Liu Yan's remarks, the faces of many reporters in the crowd turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

Liu Yan appeared to be advising them.

But in reality, he had used the live broadcast to strip away Hafke's smear campaign against Asara until nothing was left!

Upon hearing Liu Yan's words, the group of reporters exploded on the spot.

"Where did this brat come from?? Get the hell out of here!"

"What hundred thousand haf coins? You're just making things up!"

"We are all reporters with generous salaries. Do we need to do such things?"

"As reporters, our mission is to bring the absolute truth to the public!"

"Exactly, looking at you, you're probably just a college student who graduated recently, right?"

"Is it that you took Asara's money and are specifically using this chance to smear Hafke?"

"And then, you pin your own vile label onto us."

"Is this how your teacher taught you?"

"Is this how your mother taught you?"

"I bet your mother isn't exactly a—"

Bang——!

Before the reporter could finish his sentence, a clearly visible bloody hole appeared on his forehead.

And Liu Yan, at some unknown moment, was already gripping a UZI submachine gun in his hand.

The crowd stared in shock at Liu Yan.

They noticed that Liu Yan's gaze had completely changed.

Just a single look was enough to make them shiver.

Is this the gaze of a twenty-something college graduate?

Could someone have such a gaze without having killed a dozen or twenty people?

However, even more shocked than the reporters were the Soldiers and Roy.

Their focus was entirely different from that of the reporters.

Just now, before the reporter had even finished speaking.

Liu Yan's hand had moved so fast it left an afterimage.

In a mere instant, he snatched the gun from the soldier behind him.

At the same time, without aiming, he fired a shot that struck the reporter right between the eyebrows.

The entire movement was smooth and seamless.

It took only 0.2 seconds.

In their eyes, it was just a flash.

Furthermore, the bullet hole was neither to the left nor the right; it was perfectly centered on the golden ratio line!

For a moment, Roy and the Soldiers all gasped simultaneously, even forgetting to exhale.

This person was unnervingly strong.

Before the shock could subside, Liu Yan's voice rang out, cold to the extreme:

"Trash."

"Whose belt wasn't fastened tight enough to let you slip out?"

Liu Yan said this while looking at the corpse.

However, that reporter was no longer able to answer the question.

All that remained on the scene were heartbeats and the tense, suppressed breathing of many people trying to stay quiet.

Liu Yan indifferently scanned the reporters holding their various cameras and equipment.

"You, how much money did you take?"

Liu Yan locked his gaze onto one of the reporters.

"I... I am a sacred reporter, I would never—"

Bang——!!

After instantly killing this reporter, Liu Yan turned his gaze to the reporter next to him.

The headshot just now had splashed quite a bit of blood onto this reporter's face.

The moment he felt the still-warm blood, the reporter's body couldn't help but tremble.

"You, how much did you take?"

"I didn't—"

Bang——!!

As the gunshot rang out, the second reporter's body slowly collapsed.

Liu Yan didn't even spare a glance as he pointed the barrel at the next reporter.

"I took it! I took it!!"

"I took the money! Don't shoot!"

"I took one million haf coins from Hafke!!"

This reporter fell to his knees almost instantly.

Although saying it might invite retaliation from Hafke,

If he didn't say it, the next second...

No, it wouldn't even take a second!

This was also why the reporter didn't even dare to start with the word 'I'.

He didn't doubt for a second that if he started with 'I', this lunatic would shoot him directly.

But as soon as the reporter said this, the scene exploded.

"On what basis!! Hafke only gave me seven hundred thousand!"

"I only fucking took four hundred thousand!"

However, the most shocked and angry person in the crowd was Roy.

"Holy shit! This is a scam!! I only got one hundred thousand!!!"
