450: You can raise any opinions at any time.

Inside the room.

After Roy went downstairs, Liu Yan and the others began formal negotiations.

Though it was called a negotiation, it wasn't exactly serious.

After all, a negotiation forcibly led by Liu Yan alone...

Couldn't really be called a negotiation in the true sense.

"Since no one wants to start, should I?"

Liu Yan took his legs off the table and rested his elbows on the surface.

"Fine."

Jacob and the GTI Supreme Commander nodded simultaneously.

Geheros watched Liu Yan with a hint of curiosity, wanting to see what he intended to do.

As for Demulan, her gaze remained fixed on the direction Roy had left in.

"Let's start with the GTI." Liu Yan turned to look at the GTI Supreme Commander.

"Also, I'd like to ask, are you the highest authority? Does what you say count?"

The GTI Supreme Commander paused.

"Some of it counts... As for the rest, after we discuss it, I might need to go back and explain it in a meeting with my superiors."

"But if the terms of the negotiation are reasonable and don't negatively affect the GTI, they will pass them."

Hearing this, Liu Yan nodded thoughtfully.

"It's fine, if they don't agree, go find them. I'll go with you," Geheros interjected.

"Can you stop causing trouble? We're negotiating, don't mix in personal grudges!"

"Let me tell you, you've already been marked absent today. If you cause any more trouble, get back to the Tidal Prison! I'll have someone escort you!"

Jacob whispered, annoyed, reminding Geheros.

The latter shrugged and leaned back in his chair, remaining silent.

"Alright, quiet down for a moment," Liu Yan said softly.

"GTI... from what I understand, what you want is primarily international status, right?"

The GTI Supreme Commander's expression was somewhat subtle.

"Hmm... actually, that's not..."

Beep——————!

"Yes, the GTI wants international peacekeeping status."

Beep——————!

The GTI Supreme Commander looked at the lie detector and let out a long sigh.

"We also have designs on the mandel brick."

As soon as these words were spoken, the expression on Jacob's face, opposite him, changed.

"I knew it!"

"So, back at the Diamond Queen Hotel, when those GTI Operators appeared, their original intention wasn't actually to save me, but to get the mandel brick, right?"

The GTI Supreme Commander narrowed his eyes at Jacob.

"A gentleman judges by actions, not intentions. Even if the initial goal was the mandel brick, don't forget that they saved you."

"If they hadn't saved you, they would have already gotten the mandel brick!"

The two stared at each other, snorted coldly, and simultaneously turned their heads away.

Liu Yan also felt a headache coming on.

Although he had considered this possibility from the very beginning.

But encountering it for real was still troublesome.

If the people from Asara were here, it would probably just turn into a chaotic mess, and then he would be forced to resolve it with violence.

"If you want a good image, that's fine."

"Afterwards, I will find a way to locate those residents and the kidnapped family members the Soldiers mentioned."

"All of this will be credited to the GTI."

"It wouldn't be hard for Hafke's people to unconditionally operate and hype this up on the internet, right?"

Liu Yan looked at Jacob.

The latter took a deep breath and then nodded silently.

"Good, thank you." Liu Yan nodded with a smile at Jacob.

Immediately after, he asked the empty air:

"Asala Guard Soldiers, these matters will be credited to the GTI. Everyone, no spreading rumors or misinformation, and support the opinions that hype up the GTI on the internet. Can you do that?"

After he finished speaking, the room fell silent.

Soon, the voices of the Asala Guard Soldiers sounded around Liu Yan.

"We can do that. At worst, we'll just pretend not to see it; we don't have phones anyway."

"Yes, out of sight, out of mind. It's enough for us to know in our hearts that you were the one who helped us."

"I disagree. This is your credit, why let the GTI people take it?"

Listening to the mixed voices of agreement and disagreement, Liu Yan felt a headache.

This is the downside of not having one person who can truly act as a representative.

"I will issue you phones later to ensure everyone has one."

"As for the online discourse, I hope everyone understands that those accolades mean nothing to me."

"Also, please don't discuss this for now. There are too many of you, and my ears are already buzzing and about to explode."

After Liu Yan finished speaking, the voices of the Asala Guard Soldiers gradually faded away.

Only then was he able to continue communicating with the GTI Supreme Commander and the others.

"I haven't finished what I was saying."

"In the future, Hafke will unconditionally cooperate with the GTI's emergency operations around the world."

"Hafke Security will reach a cooperation agreement with the GTI."

Just as Jacob was about to speak, Liu Yan raised his hand first, signaling for Jacob to shut up.

No matter how much dissatisfaction Jacob had, he had to suppress it for now.

As for the GTI Supreme Commander's side, there was no dissatisfaction; if this were true, it would be a huge boon for them.

Hafke's technology would unconditionally support them.

As for Hafke's security system cooperating with the GTI, future peacekeeping operations would only become easier.

The GTI's international status would also skyrocket!

"I have no objections."

Bang——

Jacob slammed the table and pointed at the GTI Supreme Commander.

"Of course you fucking have no objections!"

"Hafke is practically becoming a fucking subsidiary of the GTI!"

Jacob rarely used foul language.

The GTI Supreme Commander didn't get angry; instead, he pointed at Jacob and looked at Liu Yan.

"Look at him; he clearly has no intention of negotiating properly."

Liu Yan tapped his fingers on the table twice, signaling for the two to be quiet.

"Hear me out."

"Enough. Honestly, if it weren't for this whole business with Hafke and Asara, the GTI would have had fewer missions to begin with."

"Fine."

Liu Yan nodded and continued to look at Jacob.

"Next, let's talk about what Asara wants."

"I asked everyone before I came."

"What they wanted was too simple, so I vetoed it."

"I don't want what they want; I want what I want them to want."

As soon as Liu Yan said this, the GTI Supreme Commander couldn't help but frown.

But he was mostly looking at Jacob with schadenfreude.

Because, when Liu Yan said this, he was still looking at Jacob.

And Jacob naturally guessed the gist of it; his face immediately turned dark.

His hand under the table couldn't help but clench tighter.

He forced a smile.

"How about we talk about what Hafke wants first?"

But Liu Yan just shook his head.

"At the end of the day, what the GTI and Asara want is easy to achieve."

"And what Hafke wants, I'm not sure yet, but I know it won't be easy to achieve."

Jacob took another deep breath.

"Then at the very least, you should let me know what I can get, right? I can't just keep fulfilling your promises to them, can I?"

"What, do you have an objection?" Liu Yan tilted his head slightly.

"..."

"No..."

"Let's talk about Asara first."

After Jacob finished speaking, Liu Yan nodded with satisfaction.

"It's good that you have no objections."

"Feel free to voice your objections at any time."
