20: First try at sniping

Just as the three of them were talking, a burning passenger plane outside the helicopter window was rapidly plummeting towards the ground!

Liu Yan recognized the scene at a glance; it was the plane crash at Longbow Stream Valley!

And inside the plane, there was a high probability of finding a six-slot big red worth nearly 3 million, and the flight recorder, also known as the black box.

At this moment, the helicopter door had opened, and a rope had been lowered to the ground, seemingly urging the three to land quickly.

"Let's go, let's see where this round lands first."

Liu Yan was the first to exit the helicopter, with Fuji and Zhao Chuang following close behind.

After landing, Liu Yan habitually glanced around and waved to a void.

"What are you doing?" Fuji asked, puzzled.

"Greeting the audience in the live stream."

...Inside the classroom...

"Holy cow, God Yan isn't even pretending anymore!"

"Hahaha, he's already treating the Third District as his own live stream."

"Speaking of which, I'm kind of looking forward to God Yan sniping."

...Longbow Stream Valley...

It was hard to say whether it was lucky or unlucky.

The trio's spawn point this round was at Sandy Path Ranch.

The good thing was that there was a plane crash this round, and this location wasn't too far from the crash site.

The bad thing was that this location was practically a chosen target for being shot at!

From the Galbi Ruins and the Small Manor above.

Down to the Haystack Storage, also part of Sandy Path Ranch, as well as Crash Site #1 and the Checkpoint.

The entire left half of the spawn points perfectly surrounded Liu Yan and his two companions.

The sufficiently wide map of Longbow Stream Valley meant there were almost no 'prison' locations like at the Aerospace Base.

But this spot was definitely the biggest 'prison' in Longbow Stream Valley!

"Brother Yan, what do you say? Where should we go?" Zhao Chuang turned to look at Liu Yan.

Fuji also looked at Liu Yan.

After some thought, Liu Yan made a relatively safe choice.

"Let's enter the housing area first."

Zhao Chuang and the other man nodded and followed Liu Yan into the housing area.

Pew — — — — — !

Just a second before the three of them entered the housing area, the sound of a suppressed sniper rifle rang out.

A clear bullet mark appeared on the wall of the house.

"Damn it, someone's sniping us as soon as we came in?!" Zhao Chuang was startled by the sound.

He was the last one to enter the housing area, and that shot was aimed directly at him.

"This private spot really didn't disappoint me," Liu Yan said with a helpless smile.

There were two reasons for choosing to enter the housing area.

Firstly, if the three of them headed towards the crash site, there would be almost no cover along the way.

And no matter which of the six surrounding spawn points had people, the three of them would be caught in the middle.

Secondly, even if they had a clear path and successfully reached the crash site, hiding inside the plane would make them even more passive.

As the saying goes, it's easy to get in, but hard to get out.

By then, it would be impossible to know where the enemies would be positioned.

"You two keep an eye on the haystack storage behind the ranch."

"If I get killed later, revive me immediately."

After instructing the two, Liu Yan set up his sniper rifle and aimed towards the Galbi Ruins through the wooden planks on the window.

It was only when he looked through the sniper scope at the opposite side that Liu Yan realized just how vast the magnified Longbow Stream Valley truly was!

It made sense; how could a real-life valley be as small as it was in the game?

Liu Yan roughly estimated that the distance from here to the Galbi Ruins alone was already close to 300 meters!

"No wonder that shot was a bit late just now."

Thinking of this, Liu Yan felt an even greater headache.

He had never used a sniper rifle before, and at such a distance, he not only had to consider wind speed and air humidity.

But there was no better option now; Liu Yan could only bite the bullet and try to master it.

Click — — Clack — — — —

After a crisp bolt-action sound, the bullet was already chambered.

It must be said, experiencing it in reality, he realized how satisfying the feeling of cycling the bolt truly was.

Through the scope, Liu Yan saw two enemies: one was lying prone on the eaves of the building above the Galbi Ruins.

The other was peeking out from behind a wall.

"Where did the third one go?"

Liu Yan didn't rush; he absolutely couldn't fire this shot until he found the third person.

Finally, Liu Yan found the third person in the stream below.

It had to be said, this enemy was exceptionally cunning, crawling in the stream, with only half of his head exposed to ensure he could breathe.

"Good idea, but... did you forget something?"

Looking at the enemy crawling in the water, Liu Yan shook his head.

Not far from that enemy, a pair of cold, hunter's eyes surfaced from the water!

Upon seeing Miss Alligator, Liu Yan had already written the script in his mind; next, he just needed to wait for the enemy in the water to be attacked by the alligator.

The two enemies at the Galbi Ruins would be distracted by this.

Taking advantage of this time, he would first shoot the enemy behind the wall.

Finally, he would shoot the enemy on the eaves of the Galbi Ruins!

Although the enemy on the eaves posed the greatest threat to him, Liu Yan had to save him for last.

His sniper rifle was not equipped with a suppressor or muzzle device.

The muzzle flash would instantly reveal his position in the gap to the remaining person.

"Students watching the live stream, remember, in this situation, prioritize killing targets with cover!"

Liu Yan turned his head and habitually gave a science lesson to the military drone in the void.

After turning his head back, Liu Yan began to diligently adjust his breathing.

Whoosh — — — —

Slowly, the crosshairs were aligned with the head of the enemy behind the wall.

Considering the bullet drop that this distance might cause, Liu Yan roughly adjusted the crosshairs slightly upwards.

Everything was ready; now he just waited for Miss Alligator to press the play button for this movie.

3 seconds later... Ah!!!!!!!!

A heart-wrenching scream echoed throughout the valley.

The enemy targeted by Liu Yan also put down the weapon he was aiming, half-leaned out, and looked towards the surface of the stream.

Bang — — — — — — !!!!!!!!

The unsuppressed sniper rifle roared like a divine dragon descending upon the world!

"Too far left?!"

Liu Yan's pupils suddenly contracted!

Ultimately, he suffered from not having played with a sniper rifle in reality; his grasp of wind direction was still too poor.

Liu Yan quickly cycled the bolt again and re-aimed.

His previous miss had already shown Liu Yan where to aim next time.

Bang — — — — !!!!!!!!

Liu Yan fired another shot!

Thump — — — — !

At the same time, a hole appeared in the wooden board in front of Liu Yan.

Clearly, the enemy on the eaves had already discovered Liu Yan's position with that previous shot.

Unfortunately, his first shot also missed.

However, with Liu Yan's second shot, the enemy's head behind the wall instantly exploded like a watermelon hitting the ground!

Thanks to Liu Yan's quick recovery and extremely fast aiming, he managed to fire the second shot before that enemy could retreat behind cover!
