13: Chapter 13 Supplies in Place
After ending the island trip, with the bright moon hanging high in the sky, it was already the early hours of the next day when Qi Yin returned to the villa.
She checked the surveillance cameras and didn't see any of the disgusting The Qi Family coming to stir up trouble, so she took a quick shower and went to sleep.
Early the next morning, Qi Yin crawled out of bed with a look of utter despair, resignedly running five laps around the villa before starting to get ready.
An hour later, she drove Chen Quan's small Audi, humming a little tune as she arrived at the warehouse.
Inside the air-conditioned warehouse, massive freezers shimmered with silver light under the glow of incandescent lamps.
A pale, misty chill surged out, making Qi Yin's skin tighten.
Meat, it was all meat.
Fifty thousand jin each of beef, mutton, and pork, twenty thousand each of chickens, ducks, and geese, and twenty thousand jin of various seafood.
Everything was vacuum-sealed and preserved, sitting quietly in the freezers, stacked tightly together.
She stood before the towering freezers, raising a fist, full of motivation.
Today's first task was to collect all the fresh meat she had bought at the wholesale market a few days ago.
There was no light, no sound.
As her hand touched the freezer, the massive unit vanished silently, leaving behind nothing but a bit of cold frost on the shelves.
Qi Yin did not stop; instead, she moved quickly along the aisles between the shelves, her fingers casually touching the freezers filled with goods beside her.
Wherever she walked, the mountains of freezers vanished into thin air one after another, as if swallowed by an invisible abyss.
The meat that had nearly filled this thousand-square-meter warehouse was now disappearing at an astonishing speed into the almost endless space behind her brow.
In just a few short minutes, the entire warehouse became empty. As the last piece of lamb chop vanished, only a faint, lingering scent of raw meat remained in the air.
Qi Yin stood where she was, focused her mind, and flashed into her space.
She saw the meat she had just collected neatly arranged in the corner dedicated to food, silent and still.
Sensing that the space had grown slightly larger again, Qi Yin was quite satisfied. She pushed open the heavy warehouse door and left, her expression unchanged.
After she left, several figures emerged from behind the rocks on the mountaintop opposite the warehouse.
If she had seen them, she would have realized that these people were none other than the bosses who had delivered the goods from the wholesale market!
The sun gradually climbed to its zenith, and the scorching heat left beads of sweat on Qi Yin's temples.
And now, her second task lay right beneath her feet.
Who could have imagined that beneath these desolate, uninhabited mountains in Kyoto lay an incomparably massive storage facility?
And all the supplies they had purchased were currently stored in the facility beneath her feet.
Led by Lu Yanxiu, they arrived at a hidden underground passage.
The cold fluorescent lights of the underground passage stretched forward into the mountain, and the air seemed to carry a faint, persistent scent of concrete and mechanical equipment.
Before long, Lu Yanxiu completed the iris scan and opened the final, heavy alloy gate.
What shocked Qi Yin was that, given Xiao Sinian's resources, she had expected this storage facility to be large, but she hadn't imagined it would be this large!
Behind the door lay a vast, seemingly endless void.
The ceiling consisted of exposed, reinforced rock, and below it, the area was bright as day under the glow of high-powered lights.
What lay before her eyes was not merely warehouse shelving, but a spectacular plain constructed entirely of various supplies.
That was the proof of her spending!
Before her, millions of tons of rice, flour, and grain were piled into rolling hills. Massive oil drums were arranged tightly together, and cardboard boxes of compressed rations were stacked into high walls. Beside them, mountains of canned goods reflected cold, hard light off their metal casings.
On the other side was an area with slightly different colors; baskets of fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and fruits looked crisp and delicious, preserved by the natural cold of the mountain. The sheer variety was dazzling.
Further away, neatly stacked ton-bags of salt, white sugar, and brown sugar formed white sand dunes.
Condiments, coffee, tea, and alcohol were stored in separate temperature-controlled compartments; the goods behind those glass walls were truly dazzling.
Against the wall, Qi Yin saw the vital source of life: massive soft water bags and piles of unopened water purification equipment.
In a strictly guarded compartment at the very back were the weapons she had been longing for. Boxes of firearms bore skull insignias that exuded a murderous aura, while rows of melee weapons were lined up menacingly, their polished blades gleaming with a terrifying white light.
Nearly twenty modified off-road vehicles were quite eye-catching, and Lu Yanxiu had even managed to get two RVs.
Seeing her stunned expression, Lu Yanxiu smiled without a word, merely raising his hand to signal the guarding bodyguards to withdraw.
"You can start now, Yin Yin."
After he finished speaking, Qi Yin nodded and walked inside.
Her footsteps sounded exceptionally clear in the massive space. Without the slightest hesitation, she walked straight to the "mountain of rice" and reached out to press her hand against the cold rice bags.
As if it were merely an illusion, the mountain of rice, several people tall, vanished in an instant, revealing the smooth concrete floor beneath as if it had never existed.
Qi Yin walked with a steady pace, continuing forward; following her rhythm, a mountain of flour vanished as well.
Rows of oil drums, cardboard boxes filled with compressed rations, and mountains of canned goods were annihilated in silence, one after another.
Fruit boxes, vegetable baskets, salt, sugar, water storage bags, and water purification equipment were all completely erased from the cave as if by an eraser, all taken by Qi Yin.
Amidst the tinkling sounds of Xiao Yu's "Spatial Ability upgraded" notification, Qi Yin walked lightly toward the final compartment, where the massive armory appeared before her eyes.
Qi Yin couldn't help but pick up the meticulously customized Tang saber. A familiar feeling permeated her soul, and her beautiful face flashed across the blade.
With a flick of her wrist, she performed a beautiful blade flourish that cut through the air with a chill, leaving a deep mark on the wall.
Qi Yin raised an eyebrow: "Finally, this feels real."
With a wave of her hand, the massive armory, along with more than twenty vehicles, vanished completely from before her eyes; the process was unnervingly quiet.
Her supplies, finally, were all here!
Lu Yanxiu stood at the entrance, not daring to blink, his jaw practically hitting the floor.
The supplies they had spent nearly a week procuring—a massive stockpile that could support an army for long-term operations—had become completely empty in just a few minutes.
Even though he had known in advance about the so-called Spatial Ability that Qi Yin had awakened, seeing it with his own eyes, he still found it incredible.
It was too magical!
When Qi Yin stopped, the entire mountain cavern had become incomparably vast and empty, with only the lights swaying overhead, leaving behind a floor and walls devoid of anything.
Only the lingering scent of grain and oil in the air proved that a massive amount of supplies had once been stored there.
Clapping sounds echoed behind her. She turned around to face Lu Yanxiu, who was marveling in admiration.
"That's amazing, Yin Yin! You are the second remarkable person I've ever met!"
Qi Yin looked up and raised an eyebrow, spreading her hands with a playful expression.
"It's nothing. Let's go!"
The alloy gate slowly closed behind them, locking that massive space back deep within the mountain.
