20: Chapter 20 Just Killing Someone
Qi Ming, standing to the side, suddenly felt the collar at the back of his neck growing colder and colder, as if a piece of ice had been pressed against it, making him shrink his neck in the cold.
He couldn't help but reach out to touch it, but he found nothing.
Lu Yingman, deep in thought, sat on the armchair next to Qi Yin, only to suddenly feel the cushion become cold and hard, a chill shooting straight up through her thin skirt.
It was so cold it almost made her jump up.
Qi Yin just watched them calmly, observing the strange expressions of confusion, panic, and forced restraint flashing across the faces of her so-called family.
It was like watching a group of comical monkeys making fools of themselves on a stage she had built.
Suddenly feeling bored, she stood up.
"I don't want the bracelet, and I don't have any money."
After speaking, Qi Yin turned and walked toward the door.
"Stop!" Qi Ming's face turned green, and he tried to stop her in a fit of rage.
Qi Yin didn't even turn her head; she just flicked her finger backward gently.
Qi Ming's feet suddenly slipped, and with a "bang," he fell face-first onto the ground, grimacing in pain and unable to get up for a long time.
As for the other three members of the Qi Family, they were too busy looking after themselves to help him up from the ground...
The aggressive modified off-road vehicle drove away from the Qi Family villa area and merged into the night.
Qi Yin hummed a little tune, her mood clearly quite good.
She glanced at the rearview mirror inadvertently and discovered two SUVs without license plates following her at a moderate distance.
"Oh? So there's a backup plan."
Qi Yin's expression didn't change; she even slowed down and steered the car toward the more remote western suburbs.
The scarred man in the driver's seat of the car behind couldn't help but laugh loudly: "Stinky bitch, just as I wanted."
Saying this, the scarred man stopped hiding, accelerated abruptly, closed in on Qi Yin's off-road vehicle, and attempted to sandwich her with his accomplices behind.
Amidst the screeching of brakes, the two SUVs successfully forced her to stop in the middle of the road.
Nearly ten fierce-looking men, dressed in mismatched clothes and wielding clubs and machetes, got out of the cars and began pounding on her windows.
The even more menacing scarred man jumped out of the car, and the group consciously cleared a path for him.
At almost the same time, another white off-road vehicle that had been quietly following from further away also came to a sudden stop.
Qi Yin glanced at that car; like hers, it had been rigorously modified.
Two tough-looking men wearing tactical vests quickly got out of the white off-road vehicle, their hands already pressed against the holsters at their waists.
They stared sharply at the dozen or so killers present, ready to charge forward.
Seeing the familiar eagle totem on their holsters, Qi Yin understood, confirmed their identity, and then waved her hand.
Just killing a few people; she could handle it herself.
The two exchanged glances, clearly having received the order; Miss Qi meant for them not to act rashly.
At this moment, the scarred man had already swung the steel pipe in his hand, smashing it hard against Qi Yin's car window again.
However, at the exact moment the steel pipe was about to touch the window, the driver's side door swung open violently, slamming heavily into the scarred man and sending him stumbling.
Qi Yin's white figure slid out of the car door like a phantom. In her hand, a long, narrow Tang dao engraved with spider lilies had appeared from nowhere, its blade gleaming with a ghostly light and faintly emitting a terrifying chill.
The dozen or so killers were stunned for a moment; they clearly hadn't expected their target to voluntarily step out of the car.
But this daze lasted only for a split second.
The two people closest to Qi Yin immediately brandished their blades and slashed at her.
Qi Yin didn't retreat but advanced, nimbly dodging the attack. The Tang dao in her hand sliced through the air, drawing a simple, cold arc.
"Shing!"
With the muffled sound of a sharp blade slicing through flesh and bone, the arm of the person attacking her was severed at the shoulder, and blood instantly sprayed out.
Another person had a thin line of blood appear on their throat, and they collapsed to the ground, gurgling.
In that instant, there were no screams, only the dull thuds of falling bodies and the blood splattering everywhere, staining the moon tonight.
The remaining killers, led by the scarred man, were shocked by her ruthless and precise swordsmanship, their movements slowing by half a beat.
However, Qi Yin did not give them a chance to react.
She was like a shadow that had blended into the night wind, moving with the wind, her footwork agile and eerie.
Every swing of the Tang dao in her hand inevitably brought forth a blooming spider lily.
The angles were incredibly tricky, and the efficiency was terrifyingly high.
The scarred man had originally thought that to deal with a woman, a blade was enough.
He hadn't expected Qi Yin to be this troublesome; the moment his pistol was pulled from his waist, Qi Yin flashed in front of him like a ghost.
Slash, hack, stab—there were no unnecessary, flashy moves. Every strike was a killing blow.
The scarred man's eyes widened, and he vomited blood, kneeling on the ground.
Seeing their boss dead, a killer launched a sneak attack from the side, swinging a club with all his might toward the back of Qi Yin's head.
Qi Yin seemed to have eyes in the back of her head; she crouched and pivoted, her blade flashing from top to bottom in a counter-strike, precisely slicing open the opponent's abdomen.
Another person who tried to choke her was stabbed through the heart by her backhand strike.
The whole process took no more than three minutes. At the scene, only Qi Yin remained standing in the pool of blood.
Except for the person whose arm was severed at the shoulder at the beginning, no one else survived.
Qi Yin curled her lips into a very cold smile and walked slowly toward the man with the severed arm, carrying the dripping Tang dao.
This lackey had already wet his pants in fear of the female demon before him. Using his only remaining hand to support himself, he shrank backward, the pale yellow urine drawing a sloppy picture on the ground.
He only stopped when a bodyguard behind him blocked his retreat.
"Hum!"
The Tang dao in Qi Yin's hand suddenly stabbed into the ground right in front of his crotch, making a terrifying sound.
She breathed steadily, her eyes as cold as blades, and not even a drop of blood had stained her body.
"Go back and tell those useless trash in the Qi Family that I, Qi Yin, have noted this debt! Tell them to wash their necks and wait."
As if granted amnesty, the lackey didn't say a word; with trembling legs, he scrambled away in a panic.
When he had run far away, Qi Yin lifted her eyes, her gaze landing with precision on the two dumbfounded bodyguards.
"Did Xiao Sinian send you?"
The two burly, dazed men nodded stiffly: "Yes, yes, the boss told us to come and protect you."
Thinking of that man's beautiful eyes, Qi Yin's eyes, which had been cold, seemed to gain a hint of warmth.
Taking a clean cloth from her space, she wiped the dripping Tang dao with a blank expression: "Go back and tell him, thank him for his kindness, but I can handle it."
Looking at the corpses strewn all over the ground, the two bodyguards thought: We saw it, you really can.
"Then, do you need help dealing with these?" They pointed to the corpses lying helter-skelter on the ground.
Qi Yin refused: "No need, you guys head back first!"
Their duty was to obey orders. Hearing Qi Yin say this, they naturally stopped hesitating and drove the white off-road vehicle away from the scene.
Inside the car, the bodyguard in the passenger seat slowly released his hand from his gun, his Adam's apple bobbing, and he whispered into the headset: "Boss, Miss Qi handled all the threats herself. There were eleven people in total, and she only left one survivor."
Afterward, the bodyguard paused and added a sentence, his voice trembling with a hint of disbelief: "And, just like you, she prefers using a Tang dao!"
On the other end of the headset, there was a long silence from Xiao Sinian.
