84: Chapter 84 Revenge Must Be Taken Immediately

The muscular man let out a roar, swinging his fist toward Qi Yin's cheek, while the man in glasses flanked her from the other side.

A youth of about eighteen turned green all over, his hands shrouded in green mist, which he blasted toward Qi Yin as if it cost him nothing.

Faced with the siege of several people, Qi Yin's eyes didn't flicker in the slightest.

She had anticipated the moves long ago; her body bent in an uncanny way, using a nearby overturned shelf as a fulcrum to flip through the air, perfectly dodging the muscular man's heavy punch and the glasses man's sneak attack.

The poisonous mist sprayed by the youth dissipated against the Ice Wall she manifested out of thin air.

The moment she landed, Qi Yin tapped her toe, and a chilling ice cone shot out, striking the youth's wrist and interrupting his movements.

The cold instantly flooded his entire body, as if freezing the very blood in his veins, leaving him unable to move.

It all happened very fast.

Qi Yin's speed and strength completely exceeded their expectations.

Only then did they realize that the woman before them was no useless fool who knew nothing, and certainly not the soft target they had imagined.

The muscular man grew angry from embarrassment: "Damn it, everyone attack her with me!"

He lunged forward again, and the others also cast aside their contempt, launching an all-out assault.

Inside the supermarket, Supernatural Abilities suddenly flew everywhere as fists and feet collided.

Qi Yin's figure moved like a ghost amidst their siege; her Tang sword remained in its scabbard.

Since these people took such pride in their Supernatural Abilities, she would show them what a real ability looked like.

She was like a spirit born from the ice and snow outside, her slender body spinning snowflakes into the air as countless Ice Thorns condensed around her, making it impossible for anyone to get close.

"This is what an ability looks like."

Qi Yin's gaze suddenly sharpened, and the thousands of Ice Thorns seemed to take on a life of their own, shooting out instantly.

"Ah!"

Following several screams, the five Ability Users fell to the ground together.

The cold-weather clothes they had worked so hard to scavenge were now nearly shredded to pieces.

Looking down, they saw that ice crystals were forming where Qi Yin's Ice Thorns had struck, and the cold was only intensifying.

By now, the way they looked at Qi Yin had turned into fear.

This woman was too strong!

Qi Yin completed a full rotation in the air, and as she landed, Lu Yanxiu checked his watch.

"Whoa, one minute and fifty-eight seconds. They're way too weak."

Lu Jinwen said with great pride, "Of course! Look who she isβ€”she's my sister!"

Five against one, and a total defeat!

Xiao Ya had long been scared witless, her face a pale shade of blue-green. She tried to back away, but her path was blocked by a shelf.

Several well-packaged boxes of instant noodles fell into her hands.

But at a time like this, when her life was on the line, she was in no mood to think about food.

It was quite comical.

Qi Yin didn't even spare a glance at the five people who had lost their fighting capacity, walking straight up to her.

"You... what do you want to do? Don't come over here!"

Xiao Ya screamed, condensing a ball of water to hurl at Qi Yin, but Qi Yin instantly froze it into an ice ball and crushed it.

Qi Yin grabbed Xiao Ya by the collar and hoisted her up like a little chick.

Xiao Ya struggled desperately, screaming and cursing, but it was to no avail.

"You, you let me go! I have a Water Element Ability. I can guarantee your water supply and even let you take showers."

Xiao Ya pleaded repeatedly; since the hard way didn't work, she had to try the soft way.

But Qi Yin simply wouldn't listen, her voice as bone-chillingly cold as her person.

She carried Xiao Ya, walking step by step up to the second floor, and propped her up on the windowsill.

"You like pushing people, don't you? Then go down there and play with them to your heart's content!"

Below was the horde of zombies they had just lured over.

Sensing the scent of a human, the blue-purple faces looked up, anticipating the descent of food.

The five Ability Users wanted to stop her, but they were forced to a halt at the top of the stairs by Lu Yanxiu and the others, unable to move.

"If you don't want to die, then stay put for me." Lu Jinwen controlled several metal rods, pointing them directly at their faces.

The several men went silent.

Qi Yin did not hesitate. With a swing of her arm, she threw the constantly screaming Xiao Ya directly out of the gap in the window.

A hundred-odd pounds was nothing more than a flick of the wrist to her.

If someone dared to touch her people, they had better be prepared for the consequences.

"No!"

Regretful tears flowed from the corners of Xiao Ya's eyes. If she had known, she never would have chosen to make a move against Lu Jinwen!

A shrill scream pierced the air, followed by the excited roars and gnawing sounds of the zombies drowning it out.

Qi Yin looked expressionlessly at the woman who quickly became a pile of shredded meat, then turned and walked down the stairs.

The five Ability Users now looked ashen-faced, their eyes filled with terror, fearing that if Qi Yin were displeased for even a moment, they would share the same fate as Xiao Ya.

Lu Jinwen clapped and cheered, "Serves her right! Who told her to push me?"

Xu Yongning gave a thumbs up, "That felt good!"

Qi Yin glanced at the five despondent Ability Users; she didn't intend to wipe them out completely.

"Get lost. If I see you again, your end will be the same as hers."

She simply lived by the rule of not attacking unless attacked; grudges had to be avenged on the spot.

The five men felt as if they had been granted a grand pardon, scrambling out of the room to find a corner out of sight to hide in.

A brief peace returned to the supermarket, with only the roars of the zombies coming from outside the door.

The road to the Medical University was blocked solid by these emotionless monsters.

Qi Yin looked around but found no other exit.

To get out, they had no choice but to kill these damn things.

"Damn, why are there more and more of these things?"

The metal shelves bracing the door began to move under the impact of the zombie horde. Seeing this, Wen Yang immediately called Chen Quan over to hold them down firmly, veins bulging on his forehead.

Lu Jinwen was also a bit anxious now. "What do we do? There are too many to count."

Qi Yin stood slightly toward the back, her brow furrowed.

Peering through the gaps, she saw a dense, black mass of zombie figures.

"We can't force our way through; there are too many. They'll wear us down to death."

Wang Tianyu helped brace the door, using his gentle healing ability to soothe everyone's frayed nerves.

"Don't worry, let me think of something!" Qi Yin's brain worked rapidly. She was thinking that perhaps she could let Xiao Bai out.

But those few people were still here; Xiao Bai would be exposed.

Should she... just kill them?

Qi Yin felt this plan was becoming increasingly viable, and her gaze subconsciously drifted toward the corner where those men were hiding.

"Eh? Sister Yin, why have these zombies stopped moving?" Lu Jinwen suddenly shouted.

Qi Yin turned her head. Sure enough, the constant crashing and roaring outside the door had ceased without warning.

It didn't gradually weaken; it was as if someone had suddenly pressed a pause button, and everything went silent.

This sudden silence actually made them even more nervous.

"What's going on?" Lu Jinwen peered cautiously through the glass door.

"They... aren't moving!" Chen Quan said in a low voice.

No one saw it more clearly or felt it more deeply than he did.

Qi Yin walked quickly to the glass door. The snarling horde of zombies seemed to have been placed under a freezing spell, standing completely still.

What was even more bizarre was that the bodies of some of the less intelligent-looking zombies began to disintegrate bit by bit, their skin peeling away.

Even their skeletons couldn't hold up, turning directly into a pile of powder, leaving only the hard white crystal cores behind.

Lu Yanxiu was so shocked he couldn't speak: "This... this is too ridiculous, right?"

Who could possibly have such great power?
